Yeah, you hit the nail on the head there...🤣 But look, let's be real—there are plenty of situations where a moderator has to hand out a ban, and even if someone complains about it, people still need to show some mutual respect. I’ve actually been on both sides of that coin myself with people I've had to ban... happened a few times, actually. 😁

I should probably mention Gnothiseauton too, though I guess that might just be me pointing out a bit of nepotism in that thread... 😁
Since you posted this over on the FBI forum, it isn't exactly hard to guess who people are going to vote for or why the majority will go a certain way.

We actually had a thread like this a long time ago, maybe two years back... and the majority didn't just swing toward one specific person simply because of where it was posted. Can you be a bit more specific about who or what you're talking about? 🙂
Desiree and Cats. Hands down. Cats, because she’s done more for this community than 99% of the people here (and we all know who those other 😬 are), and Desiree knows exactly why. 😁 As for the mods and supermods, I’m pretty much on good terms with everyone who actually does their job properly and stays in constant contact with me about just about everything. I won’t call anyone out by name, though—I don't want to end up hurting anyone's feelings. Anyway, solid thread. 😍
I find myself scrolling through news online way more often, but there’s still something about the physical paper I prefer. 😁 Honestly, with just a few clicks on my phone, I can jump between four or five different news sites and digest a mountain of headlines in minutes. I usually only pick up a printed paper if I'm grabbing a coffee at a local diner or if one happens to land right in front of me. 🙂
Sorry I haven't been much help, but you might want to try digging through Google. For instance, just search for "hotels in Washington, D.C." and check out a few of the top results. If a hotel is legit, they’ll have their own website, probably some photos too, but they'll definitely have a phone number listed. You can just call them up and ask directly. I mean, let's be real—it's pretty unlikely someone is just going to stumble upon this specific thread and happen to have the info you need.
What I said above is easily the most straightforward way to do this. It's a hell of a lot faster than waiting for a response on a forum. Look, there hasn't been a single reply here for days. But if you started a thread asking "What's your favorite letter?", you'd probably have 150 people chiming in within the first five minutes.😁
The absolute worst kind of bullshit is when someone claims they’re smarter than me just because they’ve been on this planet longer. They can never actually prove they have more brains, but apparently, having more wrinkles automatically makes you a genius. Yeah, sure it does. 🙄 🤣 Since I got here, I’ve realized that a 40-year-old can be just as much of an idiot as a 12-year-old—and vice versa, obviously. 🙂
And don't even get me started on people hunting for grammatical discrimination; that always spirals into these massive, pointless arguments. Look, I get it, the forum is supposed to be a place to relax, but nobody needs to type in some lethal, unreadable font or change the color and size of every single letter just to make sure nobody can actually read what they're saying. It’s useless. Thankfully, some mods actually step in and sanction that nonsense.
Yeah, you're right about that. But if your ban expires and you've already racked up enough warnings that you're sitting at 90, then you’re basically just one strike away from getting kicked off the platform entirely. In that case, you have a much higher chance of getting banned immediately rather than actually making it all the way to 200.
So, looking at the flowchart above, it’s pretty obvious how this works: some moderators get their training from Yoda, while others answer directly to Palpatine. The choice basically depends on which subforum they’re being tapped to moderate. For instance, if you're looking at Politics, Law, or Teens, those mods always report to the Emperor. Meanwhile, the folks handling PZ or Literature? They go through Yoda. As for the BR or OT sections, there aren't even any specific criteria in place.

Honestly, I’d love to see them install one of those glass observation elevators in my apartment building. Just imagine the entertainment when it gets stuck—the whole neighborhood gathering outside just to laugh at the poor soul trapped inside.🙏
We have one of those at my university. Though, honestly, I don't think I'd find much humor in someone getting stuck in it. The last time I got jammed in one with five or six other people—so, a totally packed elevator—it wasn't exactly a party. Someone managed to pry open the automatic metal doors, and we realized we were hovering about a foot above the floor. My friends could see us through the outer manual doors. They probably thought it was hilarious, but once it starts getting sweltering because there's zero airflow and you can barely breathe, the joke wears thin fast. We were stuck for maybe ten minutes, but I doubt we could've lasted an hour... ventilation? Yeah, right, as if.🙏
