Mali_djava, you know how Arcade Fire loves playing two nights in a row in some super remote spot—I can't quite remember where it was—but I think they actually did something like that just a few months ago, maybe out on an island somewhere! But honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath for them showing up here :/

The confirmations might already exist (well, at least one of them does!), and I assume they only get released once the agency or manager gives the official green light. 🤷

In my opinion, the absolute best cover art out there has to be for the Loveless / My Bloody Valentine album—it just captures the essence of the music perfectly! Even though the cover itself feels kind of hazy and blurred, the album is an absolute classic!👍
For last year's festival, I think the initial ticket price peaked at around $1,100—actually, wait, I don't think they even hit the $1,200 mark! The first round of confirmed attendees came through right at the end of January, but after that? Man, things just slowed down significantly...
Oh man! I caught Remix Manifesto at the Sundance Film Festival and actually had to run out before it ended—so naturally, I went right back the very next day just to see the whole thing through! 😁 It was totally worth it! 🙂 It’s such a fantastic movie about copyright in general (even though we hardly ever talk about how much this stuff messes with scientific research), and it even manages to have a relatively positive, hopeful ending.

Besides the incredible instrumental hip-hop from DJ Shadow (that *Endtroducing...* album is just phenomenal!), I’d point to Since I Left You as the ultimate example of a "sampler collage"—honestly, that album is probably the most upbeat music ever made! 🙏 All this Legal Mess surrounding samples and copyright stuff just drives me crazy in general, and it’s even more frustrating when it feels like the reason we’re stuck waiting forever for their second album. 👎
And you know, it’s pretty fascinating how sampling isn't just a hip-hop thing; even top-tier rock bands dive into it. Take those weird radio snippets used by Porcupine Tree (on *Stupid Dream*) or Wilco (on *Yankee Hotel Foxtrot*)—they actually ended up getting sued because they didn't clear the samples first!

All four of those acts are playing at Lollapalooza or Coachella just a few days before the big show, and if you look back at last year, we had both Massive Attack and LCD Soundsystem hitting those festivals AND the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.. Even Geoff Barrow from Portishead was posting on Twitter saying, "We’re doing some split headline shows with Arcade Fire next year, I’m really looking forward to it..proper band!!" which basically guarantees we'll see them sharing a festival stage again soon. Also, Kenneth Collins8 looks like quite the insider! He actually posted about the Swansa reunion and a concert in Washington, D.C. on this forum way before it ever became official or even happened 😁
Personally, I would jump at the chance to catch Underworld and Fuck Buttons again 🙂 but let's be real—they'd probably show up at a major US fest like Coachella long before they'd ever play something like the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

Interpol has played those smaller festivals before, but since we’re already talking about the big hitters—and let me remind you all for the millionth time, because they still absolutely crush it—we have Arcade Fire on the lineup! Plus, they're scheduled for the Hurricane/Southside fest in Germany from the 17th to the 19th, so maybe they could just extend their stay... who knows, right? Someone was actually telling me how insanely pricey it gets over there, but I totally blanked on 😳

It’s been about ten years since his last record, and let’s be honest—when one half of the legendary Dead Can Dance finally drops something new after such a massive gap, it’s usually a coin toss between total garbage or an absolute masterpiece. 😁 Well, if you ask me? This one is a straight-up masterpiece. 😬 We’re looking at eight mostly phenomenal tracks here, including a few gems that actually trace back to the brief Dead Can Dance reunion 2005... My personal favorite has to be Wintersun—it’s got this incredible electronic edge, and with his legendary vocals, you can really hear just how much studio magic went into making it sound so lush. Then there’s Utopia, which is a total standout (and honestly, the only track on the whole album under five minutes! 😬), and finally Crescent, where the lyrics kick off with The stars you see in The Night sky have been dead for centuries Starlight creates The illusion of Life for All Thes years
And even if that vibe doesn't feel perfectly "of the moment" for 2010, 🙄 Perry clearly pulled inspiration from some deeper, non-mainstream influences. For instance, The Bogus man is basically pure trip-hop territory, and I honestly can't wrap my head around why critics and everyone else seem to be ignoring it! 🙂
