Not good.

The concert was incredible. They were in such a great mood, just pure energy. 😍

That venue was stunning; the whole setup looked amazing.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised... I was expecting it to be a dud like Thor, but this movie actually makes sense. It’s fun, breezy, and charming without overcomplicating things or drowning in hour-long action sequences—you know, that typical bloat you see in most "modern" action flicks. Sadly, I didn't stick around for the Avengers trailer. Does anyone know where I can find the full thing online?

It’s best if this third one goes 😢

Kevin Chavez3 said:So what’s the actual issue with the name? 😁

Maybe they should just change it to "Margaret is dead 😢"

I don't get why anyone cares about the name either. It's just a factual statement.

Honestly, I love EKV, so I actually went and listened to this on YouTube. I'm feeling pretty rough right now, so it all ends up being the same thing anyway.
Great movie on this topic, you can watch it online for free here: RIP

I caught it at the AMC theater back when it came out. It leans into a bit of sensationalism, but the interviews feature some truly fantastic characters and examples. The filmmaker’s perspective is pretty obvious, but they back it up brilliantly. Overall, highly recommended.

Also, here’s an interesting tidbit about Bittersweet Symphony: The Rolling Stones basically lifted that song too (Staple Singers - "This May Be the Last Time") 😁 though technically it's just a traditional gospel song in their arrangement 😁 Who actually ripped off whom? What was stolen, and how much? Honestly, I think this whole situation is the perfect example of how copyright laws can be totally abused.

You can't just drop a bomb like that and walk away. Tell us which music you think is actually better! I know you want to!

Quick little update:

We rolled in around 3:30. Denver is a killer city. Everything is clean, organized, and just looks great. We spent the day wandering around, grabbing some falafel, ice cream, and lemonade. Eventually, we wandered over to that new Chinese bubble tea spot—it’s super fancy and modern. We grabbed some light Bernard sodas with those fun little caps and couldn't stop laughing because we made it inside just minutes before a massive downpour hit. Then Damir showed up, so we hung out, chatted, and toasted to his upcoming arrival. It was a blast.

The Ethiopian group was such a lively crew and they played great. They actually got the local crowd singing along with them, and by the end, they had everyone sucked into a tribal-style circle pit. Darko and I were the first ones shoved right 😬 Interestingly, there were way more photographers shooting this gig than at shows like this back in Washington, D.C. There were a few pros in the mix (you could tell by their gear and how ready they were for the show) and a bunch of amateurs, but the main thing is that everyone’s equipment is leagues better than ours poor Americans. It’s not every day you see Canon 1Ds with white lenses and Nikons with gold rings on the glass parading around in front of me at a punk show.

The Ex played the same set as they did in D.C. (though it felt longer there to me; Darko says they just skipped one encore song), and man, they absolutely crushed it. The singer was soaked through by the end, and his red shirt was clinging to his chest so he looked totally gross 😳 They played incredibly well, the vibe was awesome, and the Denver crowd was high-energy and dancing the whole time.

Right after the show, we headed back to the station where Darko inhaled a chicken pita and I smashed a plastic-wrapped sandwich. Then we crashed in a compartment with some Canadian women, kicked off our stinky sneakers, and slept until the border. Back in Washington, D.C., we were met with some crazy stormy weather, so we hopped on our bikes and pedaled like hell to get home, arriving just before the rain started. All we could do was laugh at our luck and pass out.

😬.

I honestly don't get this guy's motivation. Why did he surrender? There’s no way he actually believed the President would pull back the troops. Was he just looking for a fight? Did he want to see if they'd torture him? Or am I totally missing something here?

So stop being such a grouch😘

Yeah, you really hit the jackpot😬 🙂
Oh my god! That was hands down the worst hot dog I have ever tasted! I took one bite of the bun, gagged, spit it out, and just tossed the whole thing in the trash. I ended up just eating the bread. 😢

Neither did I.

You beat me to it. I was just about to post something similar. The Flaming Lips are a seriously great band that plays incredible music. As far as I'm concerned, they can ditch the charts mid-concert if they want to. Personally, I love seeing how much effort they put in. The visuals are beautiful and perfectly match their sound and philosophy. Why are Massive Attack or Kraftwerk's visuals considered genius, while confetti, balloons, and gloves are "too much"? Especially since, to my ears, The Flaming Lips' music is basically pure confetti and balloons 😍 and honestly, I bet Massive Attack's visual setups cost way more than all this stuff combined 😬
I think you misread that 🙂
Honestly, I didn't get the feeling that there were fewer people this year compared to last. If anything, it felt busier.
