As I mentioned previously, I sat through about 15 minutes of this thing, and it was an absolute slog. I found myself scrubbing through the timeline just to see if there was actually any substance I might have missed, but there wasn't. It turns out I didn't miss anything—I saw maybe three different locations throughout the entire runtime, and every single one of them looked like some derelict warehouse in Detroit.
That being said, that is strictly my take on it. It’s entirely possible someone else might actually enjoy this. If you decide to give it a watch, be sure to post your thoughts here 🙂

If I recall correctly, James Marsters confirmed in an interview that Piccolo is going to be green, and what we're seeing in the trailer is simply his initial phase.

I suspect Jessica Alba has already compromised a significant portion of the film. It’s as if they just don't grasp that you don't cast "foxy ladies" in horror movies. 😵 If a movie is meant to be a horror, it shouldn't rely on stereotypical sexuality. Pathological deviations? Sure—in fact, the more twisted, the better 🙄. But showing off beautiful, naked women? Absolutely not. ☕
The Shutter remake will likely be ruined too. Oh well. 😢
Truth. 🙂
I had the misfortune of watching The Eye right after Shutter, so it wasn't nearly as terrifying as I was hoping, but it’s still one of the better Asian horror films out there. For some reason, I actually want to see the remakes of both, even though I know I'll regret it 😢 osobito zbog Jessica Alba 🙏.
Damn, now I just remembered I haven't seen "Re-Cycle" by the Pang brothers—it also stars Angelica Lee, and based on the trailer, it looks excellent 🙏 🙏.

I'm feeling the same hesitation. Based on all the reviews, it looks like they kept the core plot but watered down the horror elements, moved the finale to Mexico, and even swapped out the ending for a happy one. I'm mostly just curious about how bad Jessica Alba actually is in this 🙏 🙏 🙏
I have the exact same dilemma regarding whether or not to watch the Shutter remake 🙈
It’s probably already available since it’s listed on IMDb.🤷
As for that one forum user who claims they don't like The Descent, well, their opinion carries just as much weight as anyone else's here. If they didn't enjoy it, fine. It's their prerogative. For instance, not too long ago, I tried sitting down to watch the movie with my brother and sister—my brother thought it was just mediocre, while my sister actually fell asleep (!!!) right in the middle of it because she found it so boring.😕 Then, she woke up toward the end only to complain that the ending was stupid.🤣 🤣 🤣 (Compare that to when we watched [REC], where she couldn't sleep a wink all night.)

By the way, does anyone remember how they translated the title of that movie over here in the States? I know it was a terrible translation, but I can't quite recall it...
"Killing is easy." I agree, the start of the film is great.
Everyone has listed some amazing scenes, but you all missed one: the fights in "The Warriors." Especially that sequence in the subway. 🙂

😱 But wasn't it Dougray Scott who was initially cast as Wolverine before having to pass the role over to Hugh Jackman due to some contract issues?
Personally, if they were to go head-to-head, I think Charlton Heston would come out on top. That man has weaponry stashed in every room of his house; I don't think Russell Crowe would stand a chance.😁
George Hill13 said:As far as I know, it isn't available in our local video rental stores... If you want the full rundown of what happened, just check Wikipedia; I don't want to spoil anything for you.
Believe it or not, it was actually released under the title ... "Them" - just a few weeks ago. 😁
George Hill13 said:It's excellent. According to Wikipedia, there have been no recorded instances of such cases in Romania. 🤷
Of course not. The directors simply cherry-picked various urban legends; almost nothing in this film is actually based on true events. It’s just like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which was loosely inspired by the case of Ed Gein. I see nearly identical patterns here as well. The Strangers It’s finally coming out this May. They’re still leaning on that tired old trope of being "based on a true story."
