So, here’s my workflow: I’ll pop open three different tabs, right? And while one thread is still struggling to load, I’ll jump over to the second tab to click on another topic, and then immediately hop to the third one... just keeping the momentum going. Then, once I finally start reading that very first thread, the other two might actually finish loading in the background, and then I’m back to square one, clicking again. It’s this endless loop of waiting.
I honestly have no clue why everything feels so sluggish lately... 🙂
I’m all for the proposal 🙂. Honestly, once you start writing a longer post and actually adding some images, there just isn't any room left for those little smiley faces 🙂
It’s all well and good for the moderators to lock threads—and honestly, I actually agree with them on this specific one—but it would be a huge help if they could just leave a quick note explaining why the thread was shut down.
I see so many threads floating around with just one or two posts—usually because they're duplicates or just belong in a different subforum—that get closed off without any context whatsoever. You know, people often stumble upon these through Google searches, so it would be really helpful if the mods could drop a link to the correct discussion or at least provide a brief reason for the closure. 😉
Is it possible to change the name in Dallas? That user is already registered, but they haven't actually posted anything since signing up. If not there, can we do it in Dini5?
It should work in Dini5. Just reach out to the team in Miami.
I actually had my eyebrow falling out once—and I'm talking real hair loss here. My thyroid levels were totally normal, so my doctor was stumped. Eventually, she suggested it might have been something I picked up from my cat; apparently, the little guy had some kind of underlying issue, and I ended up catching the fallout from it. It manifested itself in such a weird way! She prescribed me Medazol, and I took the entire course until the box was empty, and honestly? It cleared right up.
In my case, it wasn't the whole thing; it was just my left eyebrow, specifically that little section right near the bridge of my nose.
I have a quick question for the group... I know it might be slightly off-topic, but I wasn't quite sure where to post this.
So, here's the deal: when someone sends me something from overseas—say, a charger—and the plug looks different, like those thin, flat ones instead of our standard round American plugs, does that actually matter for our outlets here?
Mods, please feel free to move this thread if it doesn't belong here; I’m honestly lost on where to put it. Even if I were to list it on eBay, it still wouldn't quite fit the right category.
Is there any way I could change my handle from dini5 to Tyler Price? There’s already a user named Tyler Price, but they registered back on May 20th, 2009, and haven't actually posted a single thing since then. I remember reading somewhere on this forum that if an account stays inactive for more than six months without any posts, it gets wiped out.
I think you misread the rules. You aren't getting that name change. Here's a little hint: take a look at what jadetrucker43 wrote right above your post.😉
Casey Davis55 said:tnx din. And how am I supposed to track down that moderator on this forum? This place is a total maze. I can't seem to get anything right.
It’s not that the forum is complicated, you’re just still finding your footing since you're new here.
The moderators will list themselves right at the bottom—so, if you head over to the Pets section, you'll see their names sitting there in the bottom right corner of the page.
The mods for the Pets section are Tyndall, unknown, unknown, and unknown.
When you go to send a message, just specify that you want it routed to one of those specific moderators.
Casey Davis55 said:I’d actually like to understand why this happened, if only to avoid making the same mistake twice. I haven't touched that thread in a while—maybe that's part of the problem? I'll go ahead and repost it.
Well, now you've ended up with two identical threads about Žuža's kitchen. They didn't actually delete your post; it just drifted off the front page because it hasn't been updated in a while. It happens to the best of us!
Just shoot a PM Misery's Crown or one of the other moderators and ask them to merge them or just nix one of the duplicates. That way, you can keep posting away and sharing all those cute photos of the pup in the main one.
I don't know if it was just a month ago or maybe I just never noticed before, but I finally found a way to change the color in my "quick replies." It seems like things have finally been fixed on my end.
I’ll throw one out there that I personally find quite profound:
When you were born, you cried while everyone around you smiled. Live your life in such a way that when you pass away, you are the one smiling while everyone around you cries.
If you aren't looking to lock this thread down completely, you could always just rename it to something like: "Computer glitch messed up the forum dates, moving this to the Tech subforum"
