I've got a quick question here....

Thanks

Try dropping this formula into column B; it actually works even if you have a zero sitting in A1: =IF(A1:A10=1;COUNTIF(A$1:A1;A1);"")

@Walter Jackson48/">@@Walter Jackson48, yeah, your formula is solid.
Just to break it down for everyone else following this thread: 😉

basically, the first formula gives you the Nth count for every single value, while the second one just grabs the very first value in the sequence.

Later, Walter Jackson48 😉

I tried Googling it myself and found those results.
But—shocker—none of them actually work.
Right now, I just have a folder full of old emails from Outlook Express 6 sitting on my drive... I just finished installing Windows 7, but there’s no option in Outlook to point it toward a specific folder.
So, still stuck.
Any other ideas? 🙂

If you can get onto PC "A" where the OE is and all those emails live, just fire up Outlook and import everything from Outlook Express 6 into it. Once that's done, hit Export in Outlook to create a *.pst file. Throw that *.pst file onto a USB drive.

Then jump over to PC "B" running Windows 7, open Outlook, and import the data from that *.pst file you saved (like on your USB).

The thing is, there isn't actually a separate "Computer A."
Both Computer A and B are really just the same machine...
Basically, the folder containing all those emails was sitting on a different partition—not the system drive.
So, I went ahead and reinstalled everything and moved up to Windows 7. This means the email folder itself is still there... but Outlook Express 6 is long gone!
Now that I'm on Windows 7, I don't have OE 6 anymore—it's either Microsoft Office Outlook or Windows Live Mail instead.
I've tried importing that old email folder from my previous Windows XP setup into both versions, but nothing is working... no luck at all.

Hopefully, that clears things up... 🙂 🙂

There isn't really another way. If those *.dbx files are actually intact, find a machine with some old Outlook Express 6 and Outlook sitting around.
First, pull your backed-up messages into OE6, then move them from OE6 over to Outlook, and finally export everything to a *.pst file.
Other than that, I'm drawing a blank.

Kyle Johnson2 said:There isn't really another way—assuming those *.dbx files were saved correctly—other than finding a machine with an unused version of Outlook Express 6 and Outlook installed.
First, you'd need to import your backed-up messages into Outlook Express 6, then move them from there into Outlook, and finally export everything to a *.pst file.
I don't see any other solution at this point...

Thanks.

Hey there!

I'm having some trouble with Microsoft Word 2007. Basically, I'm trying to get a document to load, but it keeps telling me the file is corrupted. I tried opening it in WordPad, but I’m still missing four pages. How can I get them back? I already tried the "open and repair" option, but that didn't work either. Please help. This is really important work, and I don't want all my hard work to go down the toilet. 😢.

Thanks for the help, but the first one won't open it for me (it's "rich text format", .rtf), and this one only offers an option for .docx 🙂. This second one works, but it only offers to recover the text I can already see using WordPad 🙂.

Are there any other options 😢?

I was wondering if perhaps someone might be able to lend me a hand... specifically regarding some statistical functions within Microsoft Excel.... if there happens to be anyone out there who feels confident in that area, please do let me know, and I will happily send over the specific task I'm working on
THANKS 🙂

What kind of statistics? You mentioned quite a bit about that statistical stuff in Microsoft Excel...

Just shoot me a PM and I'll take a look.

Here’s the situation. I recently reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC. Before the reinstall, I had this one text document that I used all the time—editing content and everything. The issue is that since the OS wipe, the file extension changed from .txt to .mdi
. Now I need to know how to change it back to .txt or something similar so I can actually use the file again.
Any help would be appreciated as soon as possible. Thanks and best regards.

I am in desperate need of assistance; I am losing my mind here...
Whenever I attempt to paste images into Microsoft Word, they all default to the top left corner and cascade diagonally down the page like some sort of glitch.
I have no idea how to rectify this situation. I have an endless supply of these images required for work, and this persistent malfunction is becoming quite infuriating.
Previously, I was able to simply select the desired location with my cursor before pasting, but that functionality has vanished.
I have attempted to "open and repair" the application and have tinkered with various settings, yet nothing changes. Please, help.🙂
