He didn't actually say I use it as my Whey Protein. He suggested it would be better before bed or during the day, but if I specifically want something for post-workout...

Here it is... so what am I supposed to think about Weider now? 🤷... everyone here is trashing them, yet this guy claims they're the best... 🤔

If you actually believe it's garbage, then have the decency to explain why.

Look... everyone’s out here hyping up their own damn horse while everything else is just straight-up garbage... and if you actually listen to them, they act like they're some kind of genius who knows it all—like they're the only ones worth following... I’m just giving an example, not pointing fingers at anyone specifically, it's just a general rule of thumb around here

Scammers, ripping people off, just plain bad products...

I don't think they're that bad, but for that price? Too much.

And I'll always say it's all the same crap, so I'm not out here pitching anyone else... I just grab whatever's cheapest and call it a day. At the end of the day, it's the diet that matters anyway.

Every single whey protein comes with glutamine and BCAAs.
Those are just amino acids—they're fundamental building blocks of the whey protein itself.

Look, I know what they are. 🙂 I just skimmed the label and noticed how much they were hyping up those specific ingredients, which led me to assume it was some kind of proprietary blend. My mistake.

Hey everyone, I'm new here! 🙂

I've been surfing around the site for a bit, checking out the gym threads, and decided to kick things off with that beginner's blastoff program. Since there are two or three rest days built into the schedule—maybe some light cardio or whatever—should I still be taking whey on those days? Or should I save it strictly for my training days (post-workout, obviously)?

Thanks! 🙂

I've been surfing through the site for a bit—just browsing the various gym threads—and decided to kick things off with that beginner's blastoff program. Now, since that routine includes a couple of rest days (maybe some light cardio sessions?), should I still be taking whey on those days? Or should I strictly stick to it on training days (specifically after my workouts)?

Thanks 🙂

Take it every day; I just don't think you'll need the glucose if you do.

On your off days, just tweak your diet to make sure you're hitting enough protein—aim for about 2 to 3 grams per kilogram of body weight—and honestly, you don't even really need whey. You can always use it as a quick meal replacement if you're running behind schedule (though in that case, go ahead and mix it with milk), but its primary job is being taken right after a workout (paired with some glucose) to help with recovery.

You can totally drink it on your off days too.
Whether you "should" really just depends on what else you're eating and, I guess, how much money you want to spend on it.
If you can afford it, then yeah, go for it.

ugh, man. there's just so much stuff out there—I'm honestly getting a bit lost in all these options.

so, can someone actually explain what proteins are specifically for? And like... can you actually gain weight from them? (please don't laugh if I'm asking something totally silly 🙂 ) Also, does anyone know the right way to take them?
I'm super skinny, by the way. I've tried basically everything to bulk up but nothing works, even though I swear I eat a ton. 😢

If you're trying to pack on some weight, look into stuff like Mass or whatever...

Drink about two liters of whole milk a day

You gotta hit those high carb numbers too

Anyway, I'm pretty thin, and I've tried tons of things to put on some weight but nothing works, even though I swear I eat a ton. 😢

Well Rachel Brooks69, I guess it’s all about perception. You probably aren't eating as much as you think.
Since you're so tiny, it basically means you have a metabolism like a little bird.
If you were actually eating enough, you'd be putting on pounds without any trouble at all. 😁

I'd definitely skip those Mass products; they're mostly just sugar and might just cause you some health headaches later on. For you, the best move is really just learning about nutrition and finding foods you actually enjoy eating.

All these theories about protein are kind of secondary, honestly. It's way more important to learn how to prep your own meals—that way, everything is totally in your control—and find food you love. It sounds super simple, and people usually skip over it when talking about supplements, but I guess that's really the key to reaching your goal.

hahaha. Man, I seriously eat so much—it’s weird how nothing seems to stick, while other guys just wolf down food and stay ripped (well, luckily I have some luck with Dorro, haha)

I'd eat anything, honestly—even those damn shrimp (I could devour them, but they're gross to me)

Dorro, you sure this is actually what I need?
