Rachel Brooks69 said:hahaha. Honestly, I eat so much, it’s kind of weird how nothing seems to stick, while other people eat like crazy and everything just goes straight to their muscles (well, I guess I'm lucky there, haha)

I love eating everythingggg, especially meat (I could eat tons of it, even if it's kinda gross sometimes)

Dorro, are you actually sure that's what I need though?

What exactly do you mean by "that"?
If you're talking about taking control of your own nutrition as much as possible—then yeah, absolutely.
That’s exactly what someone in your shoes needs. If you don't start moving in that direction over the next three months, it won't matter how many proteins or supplements you take; you won't see any real results.

Yeah, and what's the deal with those shakes?? Like, what's actually the point of them?

Rachel Brooks69 said:Ugh, there’s just so much out there—I got a little overwhelmed looking through all this stuff.

So, can someone please tell me what proteins are actually used for specifically? And can you actually gain weight from them? (Don't laugh if I'm asking something totally stupid 🙂). Also, how am I supposed to take them properly?
Basically, I'm really thin. I've tried a bunch of things to put on some weight but nothing works, even though I feel like I eat a ton. 😢

Look, you can get those Ensure shakes at the pharmacy—they come in 220ml cartons and pack about 350 calories per serving, which is basically like eating a massive donut $8.00 but you might be able to get them via a prescription like I did, so you can just drink them!
I was drinking three or four of them alongside my regular meals, and I managed to put on about 10-13 lbs gradually while I was using them. Later, once I finally hit my target weight, I couldn't keep getting them on prescription anymore—I would've gone broke if I had to keep buying them myself!
Anyway, they're a total nutritional powerhouse; they've got fats, proteins, and everything else. You should give it a shot if you're struggling to put on weight. 👍

I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried Zell Volumen Crea-Genic...
It’s a bit pricier than the standard Zell version, but it also has about 50% less protein per 100 grams...
The carb ratio is higher instead...
Just curious what the consensus is on this one, honestly.

Look, I apologize in advance, but I’ve gotten a bit turned around regarding protein supplements and I need some guidance. I picked up some Formula 80 Evolution from Multipower. I go for a bike ride in the early evening, which serves as my entire workout😲. When should I be consuming these powders?🙂 thanks

My package from Vitamin Shoppe finally showed up, and honestly, they didn't even rip me off that bad!
$87But look, there is no way in hell I'm paying the customs fees—if they really think charging me 22% is reasonable, then their math is absolutely brain-dead. Forget it; I might as well just drive this package back to some small town in the Midwest instead ☕. Btw, all those Dymatize products that were out of stock actually arrived! 🙂

$87 Customs won't let me skip the fees, but there is no way I'm paying them. If they're really charging 22%, their math is completely broken. Forget it—I might as well drive this package straight across the border to a small town in the US just to send it back. ☕ By the way, all those Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey products that were out of stock have finally arrived! 🙂

What did you order? It’s simple: just order from a supplier in a neighboring state, have them ship it to some tiny village right on the border, and then go pick it up and bring it across yourself. I'm actually heading out to do exactly that tomorrow—on my bike.

Well, the closest place to me is a small town in US, and honestly? If I had to ride my bike all the way there right now... ugh, I'd be absolutely exhausted! 😁
Even though, deep down, I knew that was probably what I should have done. I was totally convinced they wouldn't charge customs this time because when someone sends you something as a gift, you just assume the US Postal Service isn't going to go digging through every single package! ☕
And then you've got some random, nosy lady acting like she's an investigator, claiming it's all for resale—give me a break! It's not like I ordered a whole warehouse; I just wanted two shakes from those two new flavors of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey to try them out! And after paying roughly $200 for everything, I mean, come on, I'm not crazy. Plus, if you think about it, how much would shipping even cost if you tried sending it through a different postal service?

Then you have some bureaucrat looking for any excuse to claim it's for resale—give me a break. It’s not like I ordered a massive stash; I just wanted two shakes of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey to try out two new flavors. Between the product and the shipping costs, I'd be looking at roughly $200, and I'm not about to waste money like that. Besides, consider how much shipping costs when it's sent via the postal service over to a neighboring country?

I'm not entirely certain, it's just something minor. In any case, it's cheaper; just hop in the car and you can easily slip by.

just looking at this shop and I can't believe the price difference is actually this big

Just head to the post office, pick up your delivery, and you're all set.

I don't really get it
they actually deliver straight to the post office?
so you just put your name and address and they send it to the post office in a small town in US?
how do you even know when it shows up... do you have to call them?

Where should I pick up some whey in Miami?
To be honest, I have no idea where to even start looking. I'm not really an expert on this stuff, and the only place that comes to mind is Joker (Dick's Sporting Goods) 😁

Wait, can you explain this to me please? Like, if I pay for an annual membership for $67 how do I actually order stuff online or what? And what’s the deal with getting 7 kg for $45???? I'm totally lost here...

It works like this: You pay for the $67 membership and that already covers 1 kg of whey. For anything up to 7 kg, the price is $50, and if you go over 7 kg, it hits $45... I personally grabbed 3 kg for $167 (that includes the $67 membership plus $150 for the other 2 kg). Honestly, if I hadn't joined, it would have been $17 cheaper, but since I plan on sticking with them long-term, it makes sense. The membership lasts a full year. If you bundle an order for 7 kg, the savings are huge...

You can also just find their number online and give them a call...

Thanks! So they'll just ship it via USPS to Chicago—I guess I'll need to ask how much the shipping ends up being... I'll do some digging first...

Look, I was in a rush so I had them use FedEx overnight since that's what I wanted. It seems like if you order through $333, they handle the shipping for free... Apparently, for orders under $333, they use standard USPS and it looks like they cover the postage 👍

How much dextrose should I mix with my protein powder for a post-workout meal? Should I go with one scoop of whey and two scoops of dextrose, or is it the other way around?
Also, is it alright if I toss a teaspoon of dextrose into my oatmeal in the morning just because they taste a bit bland lately?
