Nancy Robinson50 said:They ship it however you want it fastβ€”if you're in a rush, they'll use a local courier and you cover the shipping. But if you go with standard mail, they'll pick up the tab (as long as you ordered at least $333 protein). At least, that's what some lady told me...

Nah, that's wrong... If you spend over $333, they send it via a local courier on their dime. If it's under 1000, they let you choose how you want it shipped... For example, they sent me a kilo of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey through a courier once, and I had to cough up $5 for shipping.πŸ™‚

Fair enough πŸ˜‰ because I paid about 45 bucks for 3 kg

So, I picked up some Maxiplex... and apparently, the recommendation is to mix it with milk.
I was wondering, though, if it actually works just as well with water? Has anyone here used this stuff before? Any insight would be appreciated.

but can I just use water? Anyone actually used this stuff before? Thanks.

Just use water.

I’ve reached my limit with buying supplements locally; there is absolutely no way I am ever stepping foot in GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, or any other domestic fitness boutique again.

Cheers to the guys across the border and their big-box retailers...πŸ‘

I’d much rather give my money to them at reasonable prices. For instance, I can grab about half a kilo of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey for roughly $5 when you look at the bulk pricing on a large tub. Just recently, I picked up a 5lb tub of Nutrabolics IsoBolic whey for $45, and next week I’m grabbing 2kg of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey for $70. Honestly, no matter what I need, I’ll just order it online and pick it up at a local FedEx or UPS hub. I have no intention of feeding these local shops and their predatory markups.

On a side noteβ€”I found Supercharge over there for just $32, while our local shops are charging $153....

As for this particular website, I wouldn't touch it even if someone offered to sponsor me with a fat stack of cash.πŸ‘Ž

Paul Miller64 said:Just order it from somewhere across the border, have it shipped to some tiny town near the state line, and then just drive over to pick it upβ€”it’s not exactly high-stakes smuggling, and I’m actually heading out that way tomorrow on my bike to do just that.

There isn't even a need to resort to anything shady... if you bring three friends along and tell the guys at the duty-free counter that you're all splitting the bill, you won't run into any trouble... you could easily drop $400 without a second thought... even if a customs agent tries to give you a hard time...😁

Anyone else using this stuff?

No, Scitec is honestly some of the worst junk on the market.

Where can I actually pick up some Isobolic from Nutrabolics, and more importantlyβ€”is it even worth the hype?

Look, it doesn't really matter, I'm just curiousβ€”when I'm ordering supplements from overseas, is it better to go with an international express courier or just the standard international postal service? The first option is way faster and costs basically the same. I’ve been hearing some pretty annoying stories lately about issues with the mail

Aside from Biotech, I don't think there are any other brands you actually need to "avoid at all costs." (And let's be real, Biotech can pull off a solid product now and then πŸ˜‰).

Scitec is just a perfectly average manufacturer. If someone takes "average" as an insult, they're missing the point.
Most people won't even notice the difference.

The vast majority of users won't even notice a difference.

A friend of mine actually had a sample lab-tested, and it turned out to be loaded with sugar and pretty poor quality. The only reason people like it is because it tastes good.

You can't really judge based on one guy's experience, right? A friend of a friend... hm... makes you wonder how reliable that info even is. Besides, who's to say other big brands don't have "junk" products floating around too? Scitec isn't exactly a household name like Optimum Nutrition, and I tried their Mega Mass 4000 onceβ€”total sugar bomb, even though the brand is supposed to be "top-shelf." 😁, when you say it's tasty, it's not actually as sweet as you're making it sound. I don't know if you've actually had it, but it's pretty mild. πŸ™‚

And honestly, even other big brands don't always have those specific kinds of products available everywhere. Scitec isn't exactly a household name like, say, Optimum Nutritionβ€”I've tried their Serious Mass before and it was something else entirely.

Seriously though, Mega Mass is just Mega Mass.
By definition, it's basically just loaded with sugar.

And then people go out and drop a ton of cash on all that sugar instead of just mixing their own stuff at home... Personally, I just grab some raisins and some Pro-Nutrition Cranberry and call it a day.πŸ‘
Plus, I end up getting way more protein than my buddies who are stuck on those mass gainers, and don't even get me started on how much cheaper it is.

Anyone got a link for the Dick's Sporting Goods site?πŸ™„

Forget all those other protein powders!!!! They're full of junk... I actually caught one brand sneaking glucose into their proteinβ€”verified it myself. I won't name names to avoid any drama, but I have to give a huge shoutout to Pro-Nutrition!!! They are hands down the best, and they're an American company too. Just ask anyone who uses their stuff, they'll tell you how great it is!!

The quality is premium and the price is totally fair too.

Plus, there's zero aspartame!!!!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I won't name names, but I will say Pro.Nutrition is the way to go!!! They're the best, and since they're an American company, just ask anyone who's used their products how good they are!!

I've heard Pro.Nutrition is decent, but where can I actually find it and what are we looking at price-wise?
I heard their whey is pretty tasteless?
Even the "premium" brands like Optimum Nutrition or Dymatize don't use aspartame, so it's not like that's some massive selling point...

SilvrBckGorilla said:Nah, Scitec is one of the biggest scams out there.

Maybe try offering an actual argument instead of just relying on hearsay and "my buddy told me" stories?πŸ™„
By the way, I've cycled through Optimum, Dymatize, MusclePharm, Designer, and Scitec whey, and honestly, it’s all the same garbage. πŸ˜‰
I haven't seen any special results from any of them. For a regular guy just trying to get in shape, any cheap whey works fine.

On another note, can someone explain how the ordering process works on ProSports? Last time I ordered, Customs absolutely ripped me off...😡

It’s a total steal because you end up paying just $45 if you have a Costco membership (the annual fee is $67 and you get all sorts of freebies like shaker bottles and an extra kilo of protein every year). You have to grab at least 7 kg to hit that $135 discount price, otherwise it's $55, but honestly, they are great!

They have decent flavors like Cranberry, hazelnut, and cappuccino, plus a few others. I can't quite decide which is best, but the Cranberry rules.😁
