It’s one of those matches where both sides are forced into an all-out attack simply because they have everything to gain and nothing to lose... Arsenal is currently trailing Tottenham by just two points, with Spurs sitting comfortably in that crucial fourth spot for Champions League qualification. A win today would see them leapfrog their rivals, shifting the pressure squarely onto North London... On the other side, the visitors arrive riding high after a massive victory over Man City and clinching the FA Cup trophy, yet they were quickly reminded of their precarious reality, given the looming threat of relegation. They find themselves four points adrift from safety, with only six points left on the table including today’s fixture. Because of that, I anticipate a very open game from them; they certainly possess a strike force capable of scoring, but the question remains whether they can outscore what is arguably the worst defense in the league—having conceded 67 goals, tied with three other clubs for the most... Given my expectation for plenty of action and an Arsenal victory, I’ve decided to try something new on Stanley— home win and over 2.5 goals, with odds sitting at a decent 1.75

FC Cincinnati vs Chicago Fire 1 @ 2.00

First off—Chicago is absolutely reeling right now. Their form is basically non-existent, and honestly? There’s zero chance they claw their way back up before the season ends. They’re looking at losing that second-place spot by the final whistle. On the flip side, Cincinnati has finally found their groove after those grueling matchups in the Champions League, and they’re hungry to lock down that title ASAP. A club that holds its own against the big hitters in the Premier League shouldn't have any trouble handling a mid-table MLS squad, right?

Sunday 05/19

Newcastle vs Arsenal 2 @ 1.75

This is basically the game of the year for Arsenal! If we assume Tottenham is going to cruise past Sunderland at home—which, let's be real, is almost a certainty—then Sunderland needs this win to secure that fourth spot and grab a ticket to the Champions League qualifiers. As for Newcastle? I’m guessing they’ve already checked out mentally since they secured their spot staying in the league. They probably have their minds on summer vacation already!

Thursday 05/16

Minnesota United vs Houston Dynamo 1 @ 1.70

Minnesota, along with Rosenborg, are hands down the powerhouses of the league. But hey, sometimes things just don't go your way, right? Between some key injuries and just plain old bad luck, they've been stuck at the bottom through the first nine rounds. But seriously, there's a massive chance they finally turn the corner and start climbing back up toward the top where they actually belong!

Renova vs. Bregalnica @ 2.50

Looking at the standings right now, the home side basically has their backs against the wall—they absolutely need this win if they want to dodge the relegation playoffs altogether.
The Bregalnica squad from small-town Ohio has pretty much checked out for the season; they’re sitting 10 points clear of the teams fighting for survival... so they’re walking into this one with zero skin in the game.
For them, the season is effectively over.
On the flip side, if Renova pulls this off, they’re officially safe from the relegation scrap, and honestly, they’ll want to just get it done now and cruise through the rest of the schedule without any extra stress.
They play like absolute beasts at home and should have no problem dismantling a weak Bregalnica side that’s been a total disaster on the road... plus, Renova already handled them easily earlier this year.
At 2.50, you’d be crazy not to take the home win here...
They’ve met twice this season,
March 13th, Bregalnica vs. Renova 0:0
October 20th, Renova vs. Bregalnica 2:0

Potosi vs. The Strongest: Over 3.5 goals is looking like a lock

Look, I’ve been watching these guys, and honestly? It's ridiculous. Out of their last seven matches, six of them went over 3.5 goals... like, seriously...
And get this—their last four games? They didn't just hit 3+, they blew past it with 4+ goals every single time... just non-stop action...

When you crunch the numbers, the home team is averaging about 3 goals a game, while the visitors are sitting pretty at an average of roughly 3.6 per match...
If you're asking me, there are going to be plenty of goals here again... nothing else makes sense...

Benfica - Chelsea 1 @ 3.15 Marathon 4/10

We have two evenly matched sides here—neither boasts a top-tier defense by European standards, though both possess solid midfields and attacking units. The match is being held at a neutral venue in Amsterdam, where a massive turnout from both fanbases is expected. Benfica seems to have let their domestic lead slip away, missing out on the league title; this final is essentially their last shot at saving the season—though that depends entirely on their own performance.
They’ll be missing right-back Maxi Pereira, while Chelsea is without the brilliant Hazard, striker Demba Ba due to suspension, and potentially Terry, who is nursing an injury. That said, Chelsea possesses significant depth in midfield to cover for Hazard's absence.
Benfica plays an expansive game, leaning heavily on their wingers—and frankly, Chelsea's fullbacks don't inspire much confidence when it comes to containing Benfica's pace on the flanks.
Up front, Cardozo and Lima will be looking for openings as a formidable duo. The Paraguayan has a knack for performing against English clubs—netting 8 goals in his last 10 such outings—and he is generally in peak form.
Chelsea is running with Torres upfront, though I suspect they would be better served playing with two [Štico mode on] strikers[Štico mode off], but it doesn't matter much; they have attack-minded midfielders who consistently push into the box.
My take is that Benfica is closer to a victory tonight—they look more dangerous and clinical in the final third, whereas Chelsea struggles to dictate possession, even against sides weaker than Benfica.

over 5.5 substitutions in the match @ 1.90 7/10 😲

Is it just me, or does it feel like managers use every single substitution available in almost every game lately? 🤷
It’s especially true in matches like this, where a trophy is on the line—one manager swaps to chase a result (if it isn't already decided), while the other swaps to protect a lead and kill time.
Since I prefer not to bet on gut feelings, I did some digging: in Chelsea's last four Europa League games, they used all three subs 3/4 times, the same pattern for Benfica. That totals 6 out of 8 instances. The two times they didn't use everyone were the opening matches; in subsequent games, when protecting a lead, they used all three subs every time. This is a one-off final—there's no room for hesitation; you use every tactical tool at your disposal.
Interestingly, the odds for this at Favorites are 1.50 (1.43 without the vig), whereas I usually see them around 1.30—it's a bit odd.
I won't give this a 10/10 simply because I missed it last night. 🙂

Cardozo to score @ 3.50 Favorites 2/10

As mentioned earlier, Cardozo excels against English opposition. He is also Benfica's leading scorer this season, despite the fact that the manager manages his minutes carefully. He is dangerous in the box, clever, strong in the air, and handles penalties. Given that I expect an open game with plenty of goals, I think Cardozo finds the net.

Lampard to score @ 4.83 Pinnacle 1/10

Frank became Chelsea's all-time leading scorer a few days ago—a massive milestone. After a period where he was nearly written off and relegated to the bench, he rose from the ashes to play brilliantly, steering Chelsea toward Champions League qualification next year. He scores plenty for a midfielder, has a lethal long shot, and takes penalties; he could easily slot one in today against a shaky Benfica defense. The odds are massive.

over 4.5 yellow cards @ 1.952 Marathon 4/10
over 5.5 yellow cards @ 2.96 2/10

Four and a half yellows for a high-stakes match like this doesn't seem like much—actually, the line feels a bit low. Both teams play a physical, high-contact style, and since there are no upcoming matches to worry about regarding suspensions, the players won't be holding back. The referee is Dutch.Bjorn KuipersThe average sits at 3.62 yellow cards per match—fairly standard. However, since this is a championship final, expect things to get messy. Once a team finds themselves defending a lead late in the game, they’ll inevitably start running out the clock—and referees tend to hand out cards liberally in those scenarios, especially against goalkeepers. On the flip side, teams trailing in the closing minutes often lose their cool and resort to more aggressive fouls. I’d also add that the Benfica players have a habit of diving—so don't be surprised if they pick up a few bookings for simulation as well.
I don't get why the margin on an over 5.5 bet is this wide—it's ridiculous. 🤷
The coefficient difference from just one fewer card is a massive 1.008—far too significant to ignore. It’s worth a shot.

If things are tied up late in the game, you can pretty much count on coaches holding onto their subs for overtime, where having fresh legs actually matters. And if my math isn't totally off, that sub count only applies to regulation time.

Fair enough—you’ve certainly exhausted that particular line of thought. 👍
It didn't occur to me, though I suppose it doesn't matter.

I'm expecting a high-scoring affair regardless—which naturally lowers the odds of a draw, sitting somewhere around a 2-2 or 3-3 scenario.😁

Sunday, 7:30 PM — finally catching my breath!

Pacos Ferreira vs. FC Porto — looking at an away win for Porto at +180 odds! Who's feeling lucky?

The Porto squad is absolutely locked in right now—I mean, they are staring down paradise this Sunday and there is zero chance they’re leaving anything to luck! Ferreira wrapped up the season feeling totally pumped after snagging that third-place finish. Honestly, who wouldn't be stoked?

Man, the gap between Porto and Benfica and the rest of the league is just massive right now—I mean, you only have to look at Ferreira’s results this season to see how much those two are playing in a completely different league!

Man, Porto-Ferreira just absolutely crushed it—2 to nothing! Can you believe that? Such a solid performance!

Man, what a result! Benfica just went out there and absolutely dismantled Ferreira 2-0. Honestly, can we talk about that defense? Just clinical. Total dominance from start to finish—I mean, who even had a chance against them? Such a solid win for the squad!

Another dominant performance! Benfica absolutely crushed it today—3-0 against Ferreira. Honestly, was anyone even surprised? They were playing with such high energy from the jump—just totally controlled the tempo and kept the pressure on. It was a clinical win for sure!

Leading by just one goal? Man, that’s a recipe for pure heart palpitations all the way to the 90th minute—I mean, come on! I seriously don't see Porto chilling out until they've got a two-goal cushion. They're gonna be riding those nerves the whole time!

Saturday at 8:00 PM!

Villarreal vs. Girona—who's taking this one? I’ve got my money on a home win at 1.55! It feels like a solid play, right? Let's go!

Both these teams are locked in a total dogfight for that direct ticket to the big leagues—but man, there is a massive difference in their current vibes! Villarreal is showing up with their full squad ready to rumble, while Girona? They are absolutely gutted. It’s looking super sketchy whether they can even field ten of their starters, which honestly wouldn't be surprising given how badly they got mauled at home last week by a bottom-feeder like Elche. Losing 4-2 like that was just brutal, right?

Friday at 7:45 PM!

Looking at the matchup between the St. Louis City SC and the Chicago Fire—I'm seeing some serious value on that away win! If you're looking to grab the Fire at 1.90, honestly? I’d say go for it. Seems like a solid play to me!

Unlike Will, who’s been stuck in the middle of the pack for a while now—and let's be real, his recent run has been rough, picking up six losses and a draw in his last seven home games (that 8-0 blowout against Bellinzola still stings, doesn't it?)—Aarau has been absolutely crushing it! They've been locked in this intense, high-stakes battle for first place with Bellinzola for over a month and a half now. Talk about staying on top of your game!

The guys over at Austin FC are basically staring down a massive crossroads right now—they’ve got this huge matchup against their direct rivals, Seattle Sounders, coming up, and honestly? They absolutely have to pull off a win if they want any hope of staying relevant in the standings. If they keep dropping points against teams that aren't even trying, they're gonna find themselves buried in the middle of the pack before they know it!

Zulte Waregem vs. Club Brugge | Over 2.5 goals @ 1.65

We’ve got two absolute offensive powerhouses going head-to-head here—just two weeks left before this playoff madness wraps up.
They’re sitting right next to each other in the standings (3rd and 4th place), and let me tell you, both sides are desperate for points... they absolutely need this.
The league leaders, LA Galaxy, have basically been handed a gift because they’re playing against a totally checked-out bottom-feeder like San Jose Earthquakes. So, if we see a draw in Waregem while Galaxy grabs the win, the title race is effectively over.
Galaxy would pull ahead by a massive 4-point margin... game over.
But look, Brugge is firing on all cylinders right now. I’m telling you, they aren't just coming for the win—they’re coming for blood because Zulte already embarrassed them in a 4-3 shootout back at Brugge’s place.
Expect fireworks and plenty of goals—both squads are playing purely for the win, nothing else matters.

Lokeren vs. Anderlecht 2 -> DraftKings 1.5 I was mostly looking at parlays, though you could likely find better odds on a single bet elsewhere...

The Belgian Premier League is winding down, with only two matchdays left on the calendar. Today, we see bottom-dwellers Lokeren facing off against Anderlecht in the championship round. For the home side, there is simply nothing left to play for, whereas the visitors are in a completely different stratosphere. They currently sit at the top, holding a two-point lead over Club Brugge and Waregem, who happen to be playing each other tonight. It seems quite obvious that Anderlecht will be rooting for a draw in that matchup. There is also the added motivation of their final game being against Waregem next week. Having swept their last five encounters—some even by significant margins—it feels inevitable that the gap in quality and sheer determination will see Anderlecht dominate this one and pull closer to the title...

Saturday:

Montpellier vs. Lille Over 2.5 goals @ 1.90

So, Montpellier’s been rolling lately—six straight games hitting the Over 2.5 mark—and Lille? They’ve got eight straight away games where they’ve cleared the Over 2.5 too. It’s almost ridiculous how predictable this is getting...
Montpellier is basically a fortress at their home stadium right now, losing only once in their last 14 outings there. Honestly, they're easily one of the toughest squads to deal with when playing on home turf in the big leagues.
On the flip side, Lille is hungry. They absolutely need this win if they want any hope of chasing down the third-place spot—right now, they're sitting three points behind the leaders.
Expect the visitors to come out swinging for that victory, while the home side is looking to go out with a bang and give their fans something to cheer about in what looks to be their final home match of the season.
If you look back at their first meeting this season, Lille walked away with a convincing 4-1 win.

Saturday:

Sevilla vs. Real Sociedad Over 2.5 goals @ 1.72

Look, Sevilla might not have the same level of motivation as the visitors here, but don't think for a second they aren't going to try and pull off something special or at least put up a good fight.
The reality is, the visitors are coming in with everything on the line because they desperately need these points to secure a Champions League berth.
We're talking about two teams that, alongside the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, pretty much set the standard for high-scoring affairs in the league.
And yeah, if you include some of the mid-table scrappers like Rayo Vallecano, these guys are always involved in goal-fests.
Interestingly, Sevilla’s only "under" game in their last 11 home matches was against Atletico Madrid (that 0-1 grind)... everything else has been action.
As for Sociedad, they've been incredibly tough to beat on the road, losing only twice in their last 12 away trips.
They're averaging well over 3 goals per game, while Sevilla sits right around that 2.9 mark.
In their most recent outing, Sociedad conceded a heartbreaking equalizer in stoppage time to end it 2-2—and before that, they were hitting the woodwork twice... just unlucky.
Back when they met in San Sebastian, the home side took it 2-1.
I'm expecting another nail-biter here, but one with plenty of goals. These two sides just don't seem to know how to play defensive soccer—it’s rare to see them stuck in a 0-0 or 1-0 deadlock because their attackers are just too clinical and efficient for that kind of boring stuff.

Sunday:

Universidad Catolica vs. Universidad de Chile Over 2.5 goals @ 1.60

The City Derby.😉
When these two rivals meet at the Catolica stadium, things get messy. In their last six matchups, we've seen nothing but Over 2.5 goals and both teams finding the back of the net.

05.13.12, Universidad Católica - Universidad de Chile 2 : 1
12.18.11, Universidad Católica - Universidad de Chile 1 : 2
06.12.11, Universidad Católica - Universidad de Chile 1 : 4
05.15.11, Universidad Católica - Universidad de Chile 2 : 2
11.21.10, Universidad Católica - Universidad de Chile 4 : 2
03.10.10, Universidad Católica - Universidad de Chile 2 : 2

The visitors are on fire, hitting the Over 2.5 in five straight games, and in their last nine total, they've only failed to clear that line once.
Meanwhile, Catolica has seen an Over 2.5 in six of their last eight matches... it's a gold mine.

FC Sion vs. Grasshoppers 2 @ 2.20

Man, Sion has been absolutely gutted this past week—we’re talking ten regular starters walking out the door!
They've actually had to call up some junior players just to fill the bench for tonight's game. Seriously, how bad can things be? If Grasshoppers can actually step up, they should definitely capitalize on this mess!

Esbjerg vs Odense... I'm thinking 1 at 1.80 odds
Waregem/Odense 3+ vs Brugge... maybe a draw at 1.80

Ticket #9: everything above plus Anderlecht. I'd say it's a solid 5/10 chance

- looking at the standings right now, Esbjerg is sitting pretty at first, while Odense is basically dead last. Esbjerg is actually getting kind of close to being just 2 points ahead of Aalborg, which would put them right in that Europa League qualifying spot
- honestly, if you listen to what Roger Phillips was saying... plus, I really feel like both teams are gonna find the back of the net, because back in 2013, West Ham only failed to score at home once, whereas these guys have been scoring on every single away match this season, so I guess an Odense 3+ win is possible

good luck everyone

Houston Dynamo - FC Cincinnati 1 @ 1.60

The Dynamo have been absolutely killing it this season—they’ve basically fought their way up to become the clear number two powerhouse in the league right behind the big dogs. A win here would put them right in the hunt for those Champions League qualifying spots! They are on such a tear lately too; just two weeks ago, they cruised to a smooth 2-0 victory over LA Galaxy in a massive showdown for that top spot, and even managed a solid draw away against the Galaxy last week. On the flip side? Cincinnati is totally sliding—honestly, they don't even need the points at this point.

Saturday 1:30 PM

Columbus Crew - St. Louis City F2 @ 1.80

It's really on Columbus to take this one against a St. Louis side that's looking like they'll be stuck in the lower regional leagues soon—they're basically praying for a stumble from someone else to keep their playoff hopes alive. Meanwhile, the vibes over at St. Louis are just... grim. The fans have completely checked out. I mean, how do you go from playing in major national tournaments just eight years ago to potentially fading into the obscurity of the fourth division? There's zero fight left in them, and honestly, who could blame them for not backing a club that’s still clinging to these desperate dreams of making it back to the big leagues?

38/30 (94.25% win rate on parlays and singles)
Ticket 1/8 (23.91/21)..first ticket hit! 🙂

Horn-Harberg.....................1@2.10ss
Groding/over 2.5 total goals-Polten...........Yes@1.80ss

Lokomotiv/over 2.5 total goals-Dinamo....Yes@1.955ss

10th Line: all of the above + Arsenal, Tottenham, Porto for a 1/10 parlay

-So Horn basically tore Harberg apart away from home, winning 3-0 back on May 6th... it hasn't even been two weeks yet, so I guess I don't really know if they'll stay this hot today, but if they pull off a win, they're mathematically safe from relegation.
-Groding is sitting at the top of the table and already locked in their promotion to the big leagues, while Polten is stuck right in the middle with nothing to gain or lose... I used to bet the over on Polten games all the time, but since they haven't scored in their last five, I'm not totally sure, though since both teams have zero pressure, I'm kind of expecting a fun game with plenty of goals.
-The Lokomotiv guys are probably gonna be itching to prove themselves, especially since there's so much crossover with former and future Dinamo players... Kelava hasn't let anything past him since that derby in Miami, so I guess maybe it's finally time for him to slip up, you know? Of course, that's assuming Dinamo wins or we see some weird tie where two balls fly past him, but yeah, that's my take.

MLS

Lokomotiv Moscow – LA Galaxy (p0) 2 3.30 @ DraftKings

We are approaching the penultimate round of the MLS season. The title winner is already a foregone conclusion—it’s LA Galaxy—while everyone waits to see who clinches the runner-up spot to secure those Europa League qualifiers...
For the Galaxy, it’s highly likely that players like Sammir, Šiminić, Beqiraj, Čop, and Ibanez will be rested. They’ll likely line up in a 4-1-4-1 formation featuring Kelava (marking his 100th appearance for the club), Vrsaljko, Jedvaj, Lee, Šimonuvić Jozo, Tomečak, Brozović, pamić, Rukavina, Krstanović, and Husejinović. It is also worth noting that there is a commemoration for the late Ivi Turini today, which adds an emotional layer to the match; one expects the team to play with extra heart to honor his memory, regardless of their championship status...
On the other side, Lokomotiv has already secured their position in the Europa League qualifiers, so their sole focus is the upcoming cup final against the Red Bulls in five days. Despite whatever media hype surrounds this matchup, I suspect the talk is mostly just football folklore, and Lokomotiv will likely adopt a more conservative, underdog role...
Lokomotiv should probably run a 4-2-3-1, starting Picak, Boras, Mesarić, Brucic, Puljic, Pjaca, Zakarić, Chago, Trebotić, Šitum, and Peko.
They will be missing Mrzljak, Maleš (who is sitting out due to yellow card accumulation to stay fresh for the cup), Barbarić, Antolić, and Kramarić, who is nursing a minor injury and will likely be rested similarly...
I anticipate a Galaxy victory here, as Lokomotiv’s priority is clearly that second leg of the cup final in five days, whereas the Galaxy will surely want to win to pay further respects to Turini...
My pick is a Galaxy win to nil, currently offered at 3.30 on DraftKings...

USA, USL League One

FC Pasching - Wallern 1 1.30 @ DraftKings

USL League One. This is a selection driven purely by motivation. Many fans remember FC Pasching from this spring when they played giant-killer and knocked out two major MLS sides in the cup, and I suspect they might pull another upset here... With four rounds left, Pasching sits in second place, tied with LASK at 59 points. Pasching is riding a wave of five consecutive wins, while their opponent is struggling through six straight draws. Given their impressive cup run and their path toward promotion, they seem hungry to close out the season at a higher level... Their opponent looks beatable, and I expect them to seize the opportunity to keep pace with LASK in the race for the top spot...

US Open Cup finals—neutral ground, one winner takes all!

Seattle Sounders-LA Galaxy 1 @ 2.40

ESPN News

So, the buzz around LA Galaxy is basically just a massive list of injuries and guys missing out. Man, what a mess! Let’s break it down—first off, they're definitely going to be without their center back, Dosoudil (broken leg), and their main man up top, Magere (torn ligaments). Ouch! Plus, they won't have Janiček in defense either since he's still recovering from knee surgery. They've also got Rolko and midfielders Brunclik and Jarolim nursing injuries—though hey, maybe Jarolim can actually suit up? It's a toss-up! And things get even sketchier because their key playmaker Mareš is a huge question mark, along with right back Kysela, last season's top scorer Chramosta, and defender Ševinsky. Those last two didn't exactly finish their match against Seattle this weekend—Chramosta was feeling some pain in his surgically repaired knee, and Ševinsky ended up with a pulled muscle. Talk about bad timing, right?

LA Galaxy vs. LAFC (17.05. 21:30) 1@1,75

For Mourinho and his squad, this really feels like their last real shot at making all the hard work from this season feel worthwhile. They’ve held the upper hand in recent matchups against the Los Angeles FC, particularly when playing on their home turf where they tend to cover the spread quite comfortably. Because of that trend, I’m leaning toward LA Galaxy vs. LAFC (17.05. 21:30) f+2@2,90

Cristiano Ronaldo (idg)-Galaxy-LAFC (17.05. 21:30) scores@1,60

Ronaldo seems to have a knack for finding the back of the net against LAFC; he’s netted eight goals against them in total, and he’s managed to score in each of the last three times they met at the Rose Bowl.

Diego Costa (idg)-Galaxy-LAFC (17.05. 21:30) scores@4,00

Another candidate for a goalscorer is Diego Costa. He’s been the standout scorer for LAFC in this tournament with seven goals to his name, having failed to find the net in only two matches throughout this cup run.

I don't know what it is about today, but I've got a gut feeling we're looking at a total goal fest in the Madrid derby.🤷
It’s honestly not that surprising—if you look at the stats, 7 of their last 10 matches saw at least 3 goals go in (and both sides found the net every single one of those times). Plus, in 17 of their last 18 meetings, there have been at least 2 goals.

Real Madrid (-3+) vs Atl. Madrid X2 @ 1.5 9/10 (SS)
Real Madrid (-3+) vs Atl. Madrid 2 @ 2.30 6/10 (SS)
Real Madrid/Over 3+ vs Atl. Madrid Yes @ 1.85 7/10 (HL)

And if anyone's actually going to find the back of the net, it'll probably be Cristiano and Falcao—easily the best scorers this season.

C.R. scores @ 1.70 8/10 (HL)
Falcao scores @ 2.70 6/10 (HL)

The lottery books are even offering a decent little option for a player to score in both halves:

C.R. scores in both halves @ 7.55 2/10 (HL)
Falcao scores in both halves @ 22.00 1/10 (HL)

Over at DraftKings, they've got an interesting play where both teams score in both halves:

Team scores in both halves 158927 Real Madrid - Atl. Madrid 1D2D @ 10.20 1/10

As per usual, I’m going to try a little something with a halftime/fulltime combo.

Real Madrid vs Atl. Madrid 2/1 @ 27 3/10 (DK)

FanDuel has an option for Atletico to lead at halftime and Real to win it all @ 8, but I just can't bring myself to take it—that exact scenario happened twice in their last four games, and three times in their last seven.
