There's no doubt about it, Marvel and Disney are ruling Hollywood right now.
The Avengers are definitely more fun. They tie all the movies together so well that... the new Star Wars doesn't stand much of a chance. To be honest, they get a bit repetitive after a while, so I've started skipping them. I didn't even catch Black Panther, the new Superman, or the new Ant-Man... Lately, I actually found Joker more interesting, and Wonder Woman wasn't bad either.
So, yeah, if I see something that catches my eye, I'll watch it, but I don't feel like I have to. I'm even doubting whether I'll go see this new Star Wars at all, even though it was one of the few movies I was actually looking forward to this year.
But I'm a Trekkie at heart, so I usually prefer the series anyway.
A new movie starring my two absolute favorite actresses. If anyone asked me which female duo I’d want to see on screen together, I'd pick them every time.
Not sure how many Oscars they're chasing. It's marketed as a historical drama, so probably quite a few, but it's really more of a black comedy with some truly fantastic moments.
I love that kind of dark humor. It actually reminded me of a period-piece version of the recent A Simple Favor.
So, highly recommended. I had a great time watching it.
I guess Deadpool didn't give them enough of a boost. If this had been rated R—because honestly, who thought a PG13 Vena was a good call—it definitely would have hit harder.
Amy Vaughn12 said:It really caught me off guard. I went into this without knowing anything about the tragedy that actually happened, so the shock was pretty intense once it hit. I suppose it felt a bit like when that accident occurred over by Martha's Vineyard.
I’d definitely recommend giving it a watch.
Same here. It hit me hard once I realized it was a true story, and I immediately thought of Martha's Vineyard.

Elizabeth Debicki: The Great Gatsby, Everest, The man from UNCIT
And the rest are mostly TV actors or voices in video games and cartoons😁
Wait, didn't I see Chris O'Dowd in the trailer? He isn't exactly unknown. Especially for fans of British TV. Plus he was in Molly's Game and a few other Hollywood films.
Grace Edwards said:I mean, you know that's total nonsense. What's next? A romantic comedy about a love triangle between an American woman, a British man, and an Indian man where the Indian man wins her heart, and then in the last five seconds of the movie, you hear a monster roar—bam, now it's Cloverfield?🤣
Don't forget that classic Bolivian sequence at the end.
