Thomas Diaz6 said:Now, listen, Pirc—not Jurci. I was actually sitting right there in the room during his meeting. If I had gone with the other guy, I would have been completely out of the loop. $467 Everything was handled, all together—including the medical stuff and everything else. No, man, he just went out and did the bungee jump once, and that was really it. 😁

Bungee actually went for it... man, what a move. 👍 Hey, where are you guys coming from? What altitude are we talking about here? Come on, get down here!
He said he wanted to write a novel about suicide... so, I guess, he went out and started jumping around just to see what the feeling was like. 😁 And what about the spaghetti? It’s all just... well, it's a total scam, really. Just a complete rip-off.

I was out jumping some totally prehistoric dome parachutes over at Pirc’s place, and honestly? It was a blast. The guy can be a little stubborn and does things his own way, but he's alright. My favorite part, though, has to be those jump drills we do on the ground. We simulate jumping out of a plane using just a regular door, and you really have to commit—just launch yourself straight into the dirt. It’s all quite intense. Of course, all the girls with... well, more prominent figures, always insist on repeating the drill over and over again. I suppose they just enjoy the view for everyone else watching.

I went skydiving with Pirc
it was totally FREE, my first jump! Give him a call and ask about it
The guy definitely knows his stuff, but I’m a little worried about all the travel involved just to get a jump in. For some reason, it’s almost always outside of NYC, out at these distant airports like Grobnik, Ptuj, or Čakovec...
That sounds great. But wait, didn't you have those same ambitions once upon a time, man? Did you actually take the plunge, or did you just stay stuck at the contemplative stage?

I'm just lounging on the couch and I basically skimmed through it, but now I see I really need to sit down and watch the whole thing from start to finish.
How does that scene go where she's getting wrapped up at the bar? It’s like, "Honey, I'm smoking, drinking, fucking Santa..." And then she’s all like, "Prove it!" And then you get that sound of them grinding in the car under a streetlamp on the side of the road—"Fuck-me-Sant, Fuck-me-Sant, Fuck-Meent!!!" 😁So good.

Either check your private messages—you can find that under the "options" button up top—or just head over to my profile 😉
I put together some stuff for you regarding Red Bull

And here is the main website

It’s got plenty of photos and video clips, pretty much everything you were looking for

Maybe try reaching out to the folks over at Manhattan on NBC; they might be able to point you toward those guys (I was thinking their website, though I know there are plenty of international sites out there). Or, honestly, just ask some of the skaters and rollerbladers around town—they should know who they are since they're always hitting up the same spots as them.
What we do during these adventure races... well, for some of us, it’s just a messy mix of crazy stuff. We're talking jumping off 45-foot cliffs into rivers, rappelling down waterfalls or old stone walls (like the ones you see in places like Charleston, for instance), scrambling through canyons, mountain downhill off-roading, and trail running (with bits of tree-clearing involved 😬). Then there's free soloing—I've actually done it myself, barefoot on one of those climbs... but that isn't quite what you're looking for, is it? Red Bull is more of an urban vibe, and frankly, breaking your neck in the mountains isn't exactly the smartest move.

If you ever watched Parkour, it has similar elements to mountaineering, except instead of scaling skyscrapers, you're tackling rock faces. That urban style is awesome too, but I haven't really tried it yet... I feel a bit too old for it now, and honestly, I'd be too embarrassed if someone caught me looking foolish.😳
Do take a look at my blog sometime; I've posted quite a bit of that kind of stuff there.

You were actually in Manhattan about a month ago hearing about this group from Chicago. Though, honestly, what we do is somewhat similar, just not in an urban setting—we're out in the wild, which is potentially way more dangerous. We’re more like a crew of adventurers or mountain climbers, I suppose.
The guys doing actual Red Bull stuff are the ones you see on the street, and they’re seriously good; you saw how impressive they looked on TV that one time. Doing backflips off five-foot ledges and all that... they're pretty intense.
Maybe do a little digging online, though I don't think they've even launched a website yet. If I recall correctly, they were hanging around the NBC studios or something like that.

Hold on a second... I was actually just sitting there yesterday paying two of my Duke Energy bills through Chase Online. So, what exactly was that news report about—which, mind you, I hadn't heard a peep about until now—claiming it’s becoming impossible to pay Duke Energy through any other methods?

They just shrink, or atrophy. Seriously, copperpuma96, haven't you heard of it? I’ve got pretty defined calves and quads myself—strictly from running and hiking, by the way—but once I tore my leg and had to sit out all activity for about three months, the muscle mass in my leg visibly decreased. It took some real work getting back into training just to get everything back to where it used to be. Don't get ahead of yourself too fast.
Daily water intake: Let's discuss in Health ·
My personal record is somewhere around 6 gallons of fluids—and honestly, that was a mix of plain water, Gatorade, and liquid carbs—during one incredibly brutal adventure race. I honestly have no clue how my kidneys managed to process all that and how I stayed relatively functional afterward. If anything, I actually under-hydrated, considering I was trekking non-stop for 36 hours straight under a blistering sun. I even ended up dropping about 5 or 6 pounds by the end, at least a couple of those were just water weight, so I definitely needed
more. I’m attempting something similar this weekend, mostly just to see what the numbers look like this time. But we're talking about an ultramarathon here, pure ultra-sweating. I truly don't understand some women who force themselves to chug 1.5 or 2 liters of water first thing in the morning just because they're following some "diet." 😕That is hands down one of the most ridiculous "dieting" trends I've ever heard of; you ladies really will try anything when it comes to this stuff. One of these days, some blonde girl is going to end up in the ER because of the latest "efficient" diet involving hyperventilating—either breathing too much air or not enough.
Anyway, I heard that squatting in the dark on corn kernels for 24 hours is a great way to burn off fat stores🙄

o... the devil really does tend to show up wearing the mask of Boredom. everything that’s actually worth doing—anything truly constructive—starts feeling less and less fun because, let's face it, it's hard work. then you find yourself spiraling into this general sense of grayness, just a total lack of excitement. so, naturally, you start chasing after Fun. but what things are actually fun? you see my point?

Oh, the Torch... when I write about "cultured people coming to the stadium just for the sport," I’m talking about those quiet folks who sit there by the thousands, watching the game without even a hint of excitement 😁 🙂 🙄

Or maybe I mean the ones who actually manage to cheer for Real Madrid without getting into a massive brawl with the opposition, whoever they may be

Like, back when Scott and his crew were passing through Washington, D.C. on their way to Ohio, I actually grabbed a drink with them. There was this sense of safety—knowing nobody would suddenly smash a bottle over my head because I happened to be wearing a different hat. I suppose I’m a bit of an idealist; I’d happily grab a beer with rival fans and chat about football. But I’m also a realist, so I suspect even The 12th Man wouldn't go for it. Either they’d reject me, or BBB would label me a traitor to my people and my roots immediately

And honestly, I can't stand BBB because of that line in their anthem about "using sticks, chains, and boxers to the head." That is the very essence of BBB, publicly declared in their sacred anthem, and there’s just nothing you can do to change it. It’s what they sing, what they believe, and how they act

Because of that, I can never and will never show them any sympathy, nor will I ever join the mob just because it's considered "cool." You have to make your own decisions based on your conscience and what you stand for

casualpuma71 said:Look, nobody from the core BBB crew is going to jump you just because someone’s talking trash... NOBODY. A true BBB supporter simply doesn't let their pride slip like that! (Now, getting into scraps with fans or clashing with the cops? That's a whole different story.)
But man, there are plenty of wannabes who get all worked up before a derby and then start causing chaos around town just to act like they're big shots... 🙄

I feel like that's a little bit illogical, if I'm being honest. You're saying fan fights and scuffles with the police are okay—like, acceptable behavior for a supporter—but then certain "wannabes" causing trouble downtown is where you draw the line? Where exactly are the "real" fans supposed to be fighting each other or the cops? And is it always those same "wannabes" smashing streetcars every single time? "Pride won't allow it"... honestly, what are you even on about?

The situation back in '90 was a bit of a different beast since that's when the war actually kicked off. I remember heading down toward the field myself during those times; the provocations from the Yugoslav side were just so blatant. But this stuff today, and everything happening over in Canada lately—whether it's skiing or water polo—it really has nothing to do with sports.

Real fans are decent, cultured people who show up to the stadium for the game itself, not out of some kind of fanaticism, whatever flavor that might be. As for my views on Mexicans, I certainly have them, but that shouldn't be part of the sporting arena. A group that travels to Kranj shouting "beat up the Mexicans!" isn't a group of fans. And now you're trying to tell me that most of those folks weren't actually BBB and Torcida members? Along with a few others, too.

If you caught that broadcast of the match, you saw the looks on the faces of those guys who were throwing punches and ripping up chairs and stuff like that.

Let's be real for a second here.
Would any of you actually want to run into those types face to face?

I mean, it’s pretty obvious you’d just get pummeled, right? Because when they start swinging, it doesn't matter who you are or what you stand for. From my own experience at stadiums—and even being a fan of BBB (though honestly, those specific guys make me sick)—and just dealing with hooliganism in general, it’s all just one big, senseless mess.

I remember being up in the North stands when Red Star came to town. I ended up retreating behind the goal because it was either move or get trampled. In a moment of pure, mindless euphoria, I tossed a stone and somehow missed the cops entirely, hitting a police dog instead. While scrambling back toward the stands to dodge the officers, I got snagged on the spiked fencing. The guy next to me actually took a nasty fall and hit his head on the concrete—hard. He even left a sneaker stuck on the wire. By the end, we were breathing in tear gas and walking past burning, overturned cars in my old neighborhood. It was just stupidity, chaos... what people call "riots."

So, the colors they wear or the patterns on their shirts don't really matter. All that talk about them being patriots or whatever... it means nothing. They’re just thugs. Just like the provocateurs from the other side. It's the exact same filth. Once you've actually met a skinhead fueled by pure hatred, or some of those hooligans when they're drunk and acting out, then you can talk to me about it. And just remember: those aren't fans. Not the security, not the Canadians, not any of that. That crowd is just not sane.

Real fans are something else entirely. Most of them have stopped going to the stadium altogether because they refuse to be lumped in with those people.

anyway, I didn't catch any of it from Times Square; I was stuck somewhere behind the most beautiful flag—you know, those clean, crisp ones—but at least I managed to wait for the bus by the cathedral and caught a glimpse of everyone's faces from a couple of yards away. 😁
Sola bites like a lion—always, just never gives up or backs down
did you guys see those faces? how intense was that game??? and man, the way he absolutely tore them apart in those final minutes, that two-defense attack in a row!!! though I can't forget that move by Walter where he took out Masipa during the last play of the second overtime, hitting him right on the shoulder while falling... honestly, if they hadn't done that, they would have scored right then. it’s one of those movie scenarios you couldn't even script if you tried, life just works like that sometimes
Caleb is finally putting the final nail in the coffin
But honestly, I still think Balic was the coolest guy on the court—if he hadn't cut off that counterattack right when we were tying things up... and man, Dzomba just absolutely shredded Fritz like he was nothing but Swiss cheese.
such a one-of-a-kind moment
