Matz is already on board and hasn't been around long enough, so they likely won't be able to pull it off. I'll look into it further and get back to you.
Search functionality remains disabled until further notice, and frankly, we have nothing else to report at this time. A pinned megathread regarding this issue has been established, so I am locking this thread and any others like it to prevent the board from becoming a cluttered mess of repetitive complaints..
In the meantime, you can use this customized Google search tool to find what you need:
I believe I’ve finally settled all outstanding matters. As I mentioned before, if anyone feels neglected, they are more than welcome to speak up again 😉
Michael Roberts said:Hey there! Is it possible to change my username to Michael Roberts? I know about that whole thing with capital letters, but apparently, Michael Roberts is already taken. If not, could I go by Donald Trump instead? 😬
Arial works fine. Just shoot a private message over to rustydrifter10.
Scott Murphy6 said:Honestly, I'd just go with Orchid. Problem is, that one's taken, even though the guy only has two posts and hasn't logged in for two years. If that's a no-go, maybe TheOrchidMan isn't bad. But I'm really not sweating my first suggestion either—I don't see why Orchid107 is an issue. Numbers are allowed, right? 🙂 So, here's my ranking from most to least preferred:
1) Orchid 2) TheOrchidMan 3) Orchid107
Whatever happens, happens. 🙂
Well, the first option is out, unfortunately. Are you leaning toward OrchidMan? 😉
My apologies to everyone who’s been left hanging without a response. I’ve just stepped in to take over the reins, so I’m still getting my bearings. 🕺 I intend to clear out this entire backlog tonight, I promise. 😉If I happen to miss anyone, please don't hesitate to reach out again.
Taking this straight from the thread right next to this one
Robert Morales56 said:Try doing it the other way—type in "Reddit" followed by your search term, and you'll get back exactly what you used to get with the old search engine. It’ll likely show you the same results, or at least most of them, but I personally find this method much more intuitive 🙂
Go to the top left, right under the main site header, and click on "Options" Once you're in the Control Panel, navigate to "Settings & Options" and select "Edit Options." This will pull up your full configuration page. Look for the section labeled Messaging & Notification, where you'll find the default Thread Subscription mode. From there, just change it from "do not subscribe" to whatever setting actually works for you.
If you don't want everything automated, you can always just manually subscribe to specific threads: head to the top right of any topic, click on "Thread Tools," and then hit "Subscribe to this thread."
After that, whenever you log in, just hit that "Options" link I mentioned earlier to see a complete list of all the threads and subforums you're following. Personally, I’ve set my browser to load that specific page as my homepage so I can immediately see if there's anything new in the topics I care about.
You can actually subscribe to this thread if you want to stay updated—just look at the topic tools located right above the first post in the top right corner and select the subscription option. Later on, you’ll be able to manage all your subscriptions easily by clicking on "Options" found on the blue navigation bar at the top left (where the FAQ, member list, and calendar are located).
You should always specify which OS you're running and which version of the app you have installed, for heaven's sake. Just try logging out of the forum and signing back in.
Well, when she asked "where to file," I just assumed the red tape had already been exhausted. Besides, why should I go easy on my colleagues? Let them get to work! 😁
