Seats in China in Movies ·
Sandra Thomas24 said:I was shocked last year when I walked into a theater in Paris and realized the seats weren't numbered. It was a massive cinema, I got there 45 minutes early, so you'd think you'd find a good spot and just wait... what a mess. And sitting in the back row isn't exactly fun when you have to🙂

Exactly... you buy a ticket, but there's no seat number!

You walk into the auditorium and just sit wherever there's an opening...😕!
That’s just how they do things in the Netherlands... if that happened here in the States, there would be a riot before every single screening.😁
Bronchoscopy procedure: what to expect? in Health ·
I ended up needing anesthesia before the exam by pure chance... so I don't really remember much about it. All I can say is they tried to scare me into thinking it would be the most uncomfortable procedure ever... but, who knows?

...once I woke up, I didn't feel a thing—no side effects or lingering issues at all. So, I guess it wasn't that bad. Two tubes through the nose... they take a little piece of lung that you wouldn't feel anyway, and that's it.

Noah Watson4 said:And then they come at me for spoilers! 😢 Gee, thanks a lot, everyone! Unbelievable. Why didn't someone just paste the entire damn script then?!!!

🤣 🤣 🤣

...tell whoever is whining about spoilers to stop clicking on titles they haven't read... because you can't expect a forum discussion about a movie to avoid the plot...

nimblemarlin17 said:The movie starts strong, holds steady through the middle, but the ending is an absolute train wreck. It shifts from biting, mysterious horror into some pointless alien nonsense.

Yeah, that ending was a disaster... there's an alternative cut on the DVD, but I didn't bother watching it since it was already 4:30 in the morning...

It’s a hollow, unfinished conclusion despite having top-tier special effects.😁

The most ridiculous part is that Freeman spent 25 years fighting off aliens... yet in a quarter-century of invasion, not one of them managed to break into a single water main...

Honestly, I have plenty more gripes...

Whatever, my overall impression remains unchanged...

Despite some glaring inconsistencies and minor nonsense—like an Alien that treats people like peanuts, standing three meters tall, blah blah... or someone spending ten whole minutes opening a stupid manhole cover just to "build tension"... overall, though...

The movie is fantastic... easily one of the best I've seen lately...👍

Yeah, I’m a fan of this movie too...

It makes you wonder if Quentin Tarantino swiped some ideas from this film...😁

...that dealer with the book was my favorite part...he totally blew me away...and those guys and the cell phone...you just can't make this stuff up...

All in all...👍

The movie was such a disaster that I actually turned it off halfway through...

Richard Hernandez13 said:"Dead Alive" was the title used for the US release—since there was already a film called "Braindead" out here.

👍

Yeah, right... you were always pulling that "your mother ate my dog" crap back in the old forums...😁 ...that was your thing, wasn't it?

I picked up a copy on a burned CD once... the label clearly said "Braindead," but when the movie actually started, the title card read "Dead Alive." Anyone else ever run into that?

Dealing with static electricity shocks? in Health ·
I was actually planning on starting this exact thread...

It’s driving me absolutely insane. I’m dealing with constant electrical shocks and the paranoia is setting in.😠 😠 😠 🙄

Every single time I step out of my car. Honestly, I’m getting so fed up that I feel like just grabbing the metal door frame just to get the shock over with instead of waiting for it to happen.🙄

How do I make this stop?

Melissa Moore32 said:Wow... that’s actually pretty new if I recall correctly... basically the last anime from an author whose name escapes me, but the guy worked on Komoch and Jubei-chan.

I'll let you know if I stumble upon it, okay?

Well... 🤔...I watched two episodes a few years back... great art style... and once Kill Bill came out, I immediately remembered the predecessor... Tsukikage Ran kicks ass compared to the whole Viper squad.😁😁😁

...I've already been digging around for that banana... come on... I thought you had it...

Thanks 👍...hope you dig it up... and like I said... pure gold...🙂😁

A Bug's Life... for me.
nimblemarlin17 said:Does anyone else remember that disaster called Afroman?

I remember. He dropped that single "I Got High"... an absolutely hilarious track that played constantly on the radio and TV back then. (And by the way, the music video was great.) That song had such a damn catchy tune that it still plays in my head... tana...na-na...na...na...

Later, I heard another one of his tracks called "Crazy Rap"... you wouldn't believe it, it’s comedy gold.

Then I actually went online to see what the deal was with him. Honestly, the guy has style. Even though he hasn't hit the mainstream lately, he's been at this his whole life. Most importantly, he uses actual, solid humor in his work.

All things considered, compared to that crowd of unkempt newcomers (take > as a random example), this guy is grounded, the beats are smooth, and I dig it. Just my two cents.

I watched what I consider to be the greatest film, animation, CGI feature, whatever you want to call it, yesterday.

Top-tier storytelling, incredible characters, just everything...

I'm still so blown away by it that I’m practically speechless...

I thought about starting a thread, but someone will surely do that eventually... for now, I just recommend everyone watch this film

nimblemarlin17 said:Both of them are rappers. One wanted to be in a gang if it weren't for the terrible music, while the other could have been a pro baseball player. He chose music over sports, so he didn't fail. Either way, the second one is better off, at least now.

Exactly, that's my point... Nelly kicks ass, homie, yo, man... check out his fresh bling-bling for his pimple, dude...👍
