While I haven’t yet had the distinct honor of welcoming more little ones into my own family, let me be perfectly clear: if I find myself blessed with another daughter and someone dares to even hint at such nonsense, I shall have a very sharp retort ready to fire. 🙂

I would likely lose my mind too if someone said something like that to me. 🙂

However, I frequently find myself being subjected to those "oh-so-well-meaning" suggestions, only to eventually snap and give everyone the "get out of my house" look because people insist I shouldn't get angry or stressed—which is apparently bad for the baby. aaaaaaa! 🙂

When we mentioned it was our second girl, everyone was thrilled—"Oh, that's wonderful, we're so happy, you'll have a daughter and a son." 😍 🙄
Frankly, who cares? I am happy whether it is two boys, two girls, or any other combination. 😍
Everyone wants to know the name, too. I won't say I ignore the comments, but I simply tell them they will find out when the baby is born.
People always have an opinion on everything, yet nobody asks. 🙄

To add to that—a neighbor congratulated us on the New Year the other day and wished us well, then proceeded to ramble about how her daughter-in-law also has a due date near mine. She claimed it’s much harder for her because she has a three-year-old girl and another baby coming, whereas my child will be seven by then, making it "easy." As if she could have just waited another three or four years to make it easy for herself. 🙄
If I had been able to do it sooner, the age gap wouldn't have mattered as much.

I forgot to mention that the mass reaction from most people was that it was too early and we should have waited. Thank you, but the baby is healthy, I am healthy, we aren't teenagers, and we aren't living under a bridge, so please continue lecturing me on how we could have waited for the stars to align differently...
The surroundings!!! It is always about the surroundings. Without them, pregnancy would be a remarkably lovely and tranquil period. So, let us begin:

- You want to use cloth diapers?? Are you actually sane? We literally drove to San Francisco just to stock up on Pampers, and now that they are available at every single corner, you refuse to use them (I am convinced the troops liberated San Francisco specifically for the sake of Pampers 🙂)! You will inevitably realize that cleaning baby feces out of cloth is a nightmare, and you'll be switching back to Pampers within forty-eight hours (not to mention that the prospect of participating in the wonderful tradition of everyone huddling over a changing pad to stare at someone else's child's mess makes me question my future role as a mother)

- You are going to put the crib RIGHT there? There will be a draft! What if you put it over THERE instead (on the other side of the room)? There is no airflow there!! 🤷

- Why did you buy a changing pad (not the whole dresser, just the pad itself) when you could have sourced one from somewhere else?? (Of all things, buying a changing pad from $50 to stick onto our existing dresser is a stinging indictment of our extravagance 🥳 )

- You are going to change the baby in the bathroom?? (It is a source of universal shock and disbelief, because why would I change a baby in a heated bathroom when I could do it in a cooler bedroom or simply tackle the diaper in the living room? Not to mention the obvious fact that I have running water right there)

- No, you absolutely cannot dress the baby in short-sleeved onesies in the winter, regardless of how many layers you pile on top! (We ended up with a small collection of slightly used short-sleeved onesies that we can only use during the warmer months. Generally speaking, my family and company maintain that if they are short-sleeved, they are useless in winter, no matter how many layers follow) 🙂

- Why did you buy onesies? How are you going to pull them over the head? You clearly don't realize how difficult or fragile a baby can be, or how much they resist being dressed.....!! (My child will be a Hulk who wears nothing but tank tops)

- Cotton wool and water? Are you planning to clean the baby with cotton wool and water?? Who even does that anymore in the era of Pampers! (Refer back to point one and the story regarding the liberation of San Francisco for the sake of diapers. 🙂 Specifically, the white, sensitive kind)

To be clear, this is merely something I am saying off the top of my head 😁 I am currently 38 weeks and 2 days along, and I am eagerly anticipating the moment everyone repeats these exact same critiques once the baby arrives, so I can launch them all straight to Mars thanks to my hormones!

It is essentially the same dynamic as the Olympics... except the Olympics feel like "something bigger." Look, this is just the kind of sport where a single run decides everything. 🙂

The World Cup has been around for a long time now, and I personally enjoy it; there is more genuine excitement involved. :trlja-ruke: 🙂
Harry Potter: Movie vs. Book in Movies ·
brighttiger6 said:(this is strictly for those who have actually finished at least one book and seen the movies) Harry Potter books or films? Personally, I found the movies became somewhat... tedious. The first was the best, the second the most boring, the third was silly, and the fourth was immediately the next best thing after the first... I wonder how the fifth will turn out. Which is your favorite?

The book. In my view, the book is invariably superior to the film. No movie can ever replicate your own imagination; you get to construct the characters in your mind and visualize the entire narrative yourself. While HP is quite phenomenal as a film, let’s be clear 👍 , it simply doesn't hold a candle to the books 🙂

Eh, I haven't sat through all the filmed installments to the end, though I certainly read them all.🙂

I don't think my answer was particularly helpful to you.😁

Unfortunately, because that means I can expect it anytime and anywhere, though it usually arrives within a window of about 20 to 40 days.😁

I got my period again today, and my last one was September 20th.
My cycles are usually very regular, and I've never missed one or had bleeding before the expected date.
Help anyone

Well, if yours is typically regular, I wouldn't know, but it happens to me sometimes. Unfortunately, it’s nothing unusual for me...

Yeah, I just got it, which reminded me of an incident from about thirty days ago... nothing has ever hit me harder in my life. Probably the stress, the lack of sleep, the fact that I was canceled... anyway, I just collapsed onto the floor of a Madrid commuter train; my legs simply gave out, and I completely lost consciousness... it was horrific.

I just took a decent dose of Forte, though I suppose I shouldn't have 🙂

Red Eyes in Health ·
My old man used to deal with that stinging sensation after a shower—you know, when soap gets in your eye and everything goes blurry—and he fixed it using some aloe vera drops. It actually works quite well...

However, if your eyes are constantly red, you really ought to go see a doctor. 🙂

Got a little something a moment ago...

Totally unexpected and caught me completely off guard, especially since I'm stuck at work... and honestly, it’s killing me because I can't get away. 😠 😢 .... I'm trapped here 🙂

darkridge52 said:That’s exactly what I was about to point out:

I went through this myself during puberty—you know, like every insecure girl questioning her own appeal. I dealt with these issues, especially if you aren't seeing anyone and feel like nobody wants you. But ever since I became self-aware and actually started valuing my own qualities—and I truly love being a woman (plus, I have a boyfriend)—everything changed. I even track my fertile days and my cycle with love. Believe me, I went from having an irregular mess to having completely painless periods that arrive within a two-day window of being expected. It isn't a lie; once I made peace with myself, all those symptoms just stopped. 👍

Life can be absolutely wonderful—my roses might be blooming, love is in the air, my confidence is soaring... and yet, I can still have excruciating menstrual cramps. Or it can work the other way around.

Anyway, I don't really buy into that theory.

Oh, and the last one did hurt. Just briefly. 😳

Apparently, they have these built-in filters against radiation.
I'm hoping there's an actual benefit, given how much time I spend staring at a monitor.

I use those exact same lenses😉
though whether they actually do anything is anyone's guess; I tend to opt for contacts more often anyway.😬
