if this is a link meant to be meta—kind of like how you’re quoting Anderson—it really feels like 🤔 , and honestly, I’d just suggest giving the forum rules a quick read (they're right at the top of the main page) .
definitely pay attention to the section regarding bringing moderator business into public threads 😍

honestly, you're acting like some clone who somehow stumbled into moderator privileges 🙄 why don't you just come clean about who you actually are 😁

you got hit with a warning for trolling, when in reality, you were just being rude to a female user who didn't even insult you or call you primitive...

If the very first paragraph is total nonsense, then the entire rest of the post is garbage too; there's no point even finishing it.

darkhawk replies:
Why should I waste my precious time reading through all that nonsense when he clearly wasted his time typing it out?
Yeah, sure, I'm just one of those "primitive" types who bases their whole argument on a single nonsensical sentence in the opening line.
To be totally honest, I actually engaged with you because I thought there was a glimmer of hope that you might actually get what I was saying. I saw you as maybe a lost sheep who just needed a little nudge back to the flock. Now I'm torn, but I don't regret a single word of this. You simply don't have the bandwidth to grasp my perspective. Go get a massage, pick up some Kant, and maybe skim through some of Tompkins' columns. Trust me, you'll feel a lot more enlightened afterward. And if you start feeling a bit too full of yourself again, just go back to Kant and Tompkins; it always does the trick. At least that R-Complex part of the brain, which thrives on those kinds of raw emotions and stems from back when we were basically just crawling around as reptiles. R-Complex is short for the reptilian brain, after all.
Us "primitives"—the ones who developed the higher parts of the brain where things like empathy, love, tenderness, and beauty live—well, we primitives who upgraded our brains with those ugly, unrefined additions like the cerebral cortex will forever be prisoners of those upgrades. It's no wonder you look down on us. And it's no wonder we actually feel for you. It's no wonder that the aggressive, impulsive, and intense types are always the ones rushing to the front lines of society; the R-Complex has always functioned in a very straightforward way. It's Fight or Run, bite or be bitten. In such a binary emotional world, you guys aren't even capable of seeing the vibrant, colorful picture that we primitives see.

Man, I truly feel for you guys. I sincerely feel bad for every single one of you who will never realize how much Mara loves her cow.

So, like I mentioned earlier when we drifted off-topic, things got a little messy. There were some pretty nasty insults flying around—stuff like telling people they’re full of crap or need to shut their mouths—and honestly, both sides, whether they're backing this move or totally against it, were handing out red cards for it. A couple of pages worth of nonsense that had absolutely nothing to do with Gregg Popovich ended up getting wiped clean. Look, just because some folks on here think it's fine to throw shade at Popovich doesn't mean they get a free pass to turn on other members of this community. This one clone guy went completely off the rails into those deep off-topic threads, rambling on about these long-winded stories that didn't have any connection to Popovich or even follow his basic logic... if he actually cares about that stuff, I'll happily copy-paste his ramblings and shoot them over to him in a private message so he can try publishing them as short stories on some literary site or a random blog instead.😉

Man, let’s get off this thread and move on. If you really want to write deep, soulful essays about your undying love for livestock, there's actually a whole section over in the literature forums for that kind of stuff. Honestly, it actually makes my day when "newbies" start getting a feel for how we organize things here... though, if you're settling in, you probably already figured out that clones aren't supposed to be blue 😉

Steven Wood72 said:Alright, but what about the people actually cheering them on? If calling out their behavior counts as hate speech, does supporting it count as "madman speech"? Are they gonna get sanctioned too?

I mean, seriously, what kind of opinion is someone supposed to have about a group of girls who spend their time being provocative, shoving frozen chickens up their asses, having orgies in museums, and acting like total idiots in churches?

If they’ve actually earned themselves a jail cell, then is saying they deserve to be locked up considered hate speech? In my book, Breivik deserved to be thrown behind bars for what he did—does that count as hate speech now too?

If these girls broke the law, aren't we allowed to say we want the law enforced and for them to face the actual consequences?

Look, you can totally criticize what they're doing in a constructive way, but any posts that call for literal lashings or those trollish rants where people are actively egging on repressive punishment for their "provocations" are going to be flagged as hate speech, which leads to a ban.

Seriously though, just type out "they should have been beaten harder." Honestly, saying stuff like they deserve to be tossed into a federal penitentiary because they're being provocative and all that is straight-up hate speech. From here on out, any kind of incitement to violence is going to get you flagged, and a lot of people are probably going to find themselves getting their accounts suspended or banned for calling for violence...

Anyway, this whole thread is totally dead at this point, so I'm locking it down before things get too ridiculous.
Crime News in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’ve gotta admit, I have this nagging fear that things could spiral into a full-blown internet lynching where everyone just starts playing judge and jury. You know how it goes—after some high-profile crime or murder hits the news, the comment sections just turn toxic overnight. People start posting stuff like "hang him" or "burn them at the stake" and it just gets incredibly ugly really fast.

Man, you really could've hunted down a version with a better accent than that Anglo-Saxon one you dropped the link to. It’s pretty obvious these singers don't have a clue how to pronounce American English properly... but hey, I guess that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, does it? 😉

granitefalcon26 said:If I can offer my professional opinion here—and please, let me just say I know way more about medicine than you do since I’m actually a specialist—it's just not happening.
A guy falling on the street isn't going to end up with a skull fracture unless we're talking some truly extreme circumstances. This guy is 100 kg; he would have had to basically sprint at a concrete slab, dive headfirst, and slam into it. Honestly, looking at how this played out, I find it really hard to buy that story. You get a skull fracture from a motorcycle wreck, a high-speed car crash, or falling from a significant height.
So, yeah, you're totally trolling. The way that cop handled things, leaving a man with such severe injuries, is nothing short of pure savagery. The officer has been suspended, and because we're dealing with serious bodily harm, the Department of Justice is going to have to step in and launch an official criminal investigation against him.
The officer's actions were incredibly brutal and wild. We aren't even talking about self-defense here; the cop wasn't even under threat—he was just hitting a guy against a wall near the entrance of the police station.
Since the American officers involved have been suspended, it shouldn't be too hard to guess the background of the cop who went absolutely feral on an American veteran.

Does this even need a comment? Was that supposed to be "official procedure" or something??

According to what my colleague Prof. Gruden said, someone with a blood alcohol content of 0.25% is usually sluggish and sleepy. There's no way they'd be acting aggressive at all. There's no chance our veteran hit his head against a wall on purpose. You can read more about that right here
.

Unfortunately, though, my dad—who happens to be a chief surgeon—is telling me the exact opposite. He says it is absolutely possible to get a skull fracture from hitting your head on concrete, especially if a person is drunk. When your reflexes are slowed down, the impact against the ground is much harder because your body is completely limp.

I also remember a friend of mine from about ten years ago; he was hiking down the Appalachian Mountains after having a few glasses of wine. He slipped on some leaves, slammed his head against a rock, and sadly passed away in the hospital two days later from brain contusions and bleeding. His cranium was fractured.

Also, just to set the record straight, it's not true that the officer has been suspended. I'm so glad you're using dnevno.hr as a reliable source! Cheers.

PS, this isn't meant to be a debate thread about the specifics of the case.

wiredangler5 said:The whole legal excerpt you posted about authority is basically just you opening up a debate regarding the District Attorney's Office in Memphis, which honestly feels like you're trying to justify what the cops did in Memphis. I was just adding my two cents on why I think coppermarlin13 is totally justified in calling that whole scene pure chaos.

Right, because apparently, putting on a uniform turns a guy into some high-society gentleman from a fancy academy, and suddenly that uniform acts like a magic shield against being a total animal—even if they’re staying quiet about stuff or actually shooting someone, they can just shrug it off since they're "acting on behalf of the law." 😉

The Memphis District Attorney's Office announced today that there's reasonable suspicion that both individuals committed crimes against property by damaging someone else's belongings under statutes 235.1 and 3 of the Penal Code; additionally, one of them is suspected of assaulting an officer under statute 315.1 and 4, along with making threats under statute 139.2 and 3 against two police officers. Pajčić hasn't been questioned yet since he's currently in the hospital. There are strong suspicions that around 11:30 AM on November 12, 2013, the suspects used stones to smash the commemorative plaque on the Memphis Police Department building, and that one of them attacked an officer on guard duty, resulting in physical injury, followed by threats made toward an officer after being taken into custody. Željko Maršić, a member of the American Legion, confirmed the Secretary of Homeland Security Rank Ostojić's report that Pajčić had too much to drink, noting his blood alcohol level was measured at 2.7 per mille during the incident.

"If not even higher! You have to understand that after things like this happen, people start turning to alcohol more heavily. It's a normal reaction because the situation is just getting more and more tense," Maršić said.

Maršić claims it isn't true that Pajčić just tripped and fell yesterday. Contrary to the official police report, a member of the American Legion who witnessed the physical altercation is reportedly going to testify publicly. "He saw the officer on the opposite side of the street when he noticed Pajčić heading toward the plaque to break it. He ran over and, using all his weight—this guy is well over two hundred pounds—he slammed into Pajčić and knocked him against the wall, after which he fell to the floor and was seriously injured," according to the version held by the American Legion. Because of this, Maršić says this informal veteran group will be filing criminal charges against several people in the department. The American Legion believes the officer exceeded his authority yesterday, used excessive force, and that the police failed to provide medical assistance to the injured man.

Nobody is mentioning the gun or the threat of a gun to the head except for that one news site... meanwhile, the forum regulars are busy arguing that the injured guy was way over a 2.7 BAC.

Alright Scot, you might have given her a warning, but you really need to scroll through coppermarlin13's posts to see exactly what I'm talking about...

Melissa Walker86 said:Look, you can choose to read this as just a little deep dive and label it as nothing more than political maneuvering and sensationalism if you want, but the whole point is that this user actually asked WHY she was being cardboarded—basically questioning if her post violated the forum rules by being flagged for "hate speech" and how you personally define that term. Plus, she's pointing out that if her post really was worth cardboarding, why haven't we seen other posts exactly like it get the same treatment?

The truth is, she’s just trolling. Like, constantly. Even the other folks jumping into this thread are calling her out on the trolling. Just scroll through the whole discussion and you'll see. And hey, just a heads-up, the official report from the Secretary given in Congress today didn't even mention anything about police officers being beaten—which is what coppermarlin13 claimed happened because that's the rumor she's spreading—it actually just described a guy who tripped while he was busy smashing tiles with a blood alcohol level of 2.7.

That's my two cents.

And of course, every single time coppermarlin13 gets cardboarded, she goes and starts a whole new thread over at the FBI just to point fingers and ask why everyone else seems to get a free pass while she's the only one getting hit.

Like Sam Green73 said, it's all just politics and sensationalism, which is basically what they pump out on CNN every single day, and then they bring it over here and act like it's absolute gospel truth.
I’m totally with Scotty on this one. Honestly, it’s just some classic trolling.

gentletiger11 said:The Non-Aligned Movement doesn't even need to break up (though, personally, I wouldn't mind if they did)—it's just that the name has become such a joke that nobody takes them seriously anymore. People just laugh at them.

Everyone knows what the NATO acronym stands for—that alliance can call itself that forever—but as for what it actually means to be "Non-Aligned" today? Nobody has a clue...☕

So why was NATO even founded? The treaty was created
with an armed attack by the Soviet Union
against Western Europe in mind , but the mutual
self- defense clause was never invoked during
the Cold War .
If you follow that logic, then NATO doesn't even make sense to exist, let alone keep its name. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization? Does the US or any other partner have some deep, mystical connection to the North Atlantic or the ocean itself? It's kind of a funny way to name things when you think about it!

Do you ever just sit there and wonder about the world that’s gonna keep spinning, moving along, and just existing long after we've all checked out?

I was thinking about that Ismet Mujezinović watercolor piece—you know, the one that's also on the smaller side, but from before his whole revolutionary period? The one featuring that classic old-school neighborhood vibe...

thanks so much!
