Sophia Green89 said:I wasn't nitpicking at all, I just said what Muslims are doing with Joe Biden is exactly how Americans handled John Kasich before they lost Mexico altogether..

And you deleted it..

On a thread about the domestic and foreign policy of Canada.??????

You just proved you delete whatever doesn't suit you, while letting certain people dig through everyone else's business whenever they feel like it. Especially when things are argued perfectly clearly. No deleting, no bans, and no appeals allowed then.

I'm done talking about it. You aren't what you say, you're what you do.

Pretty childish stuff.

You mean this:

Mad Dog said:That's how Americans acted all tough with John Kasich too, and look where that got them with Mexico. Every era has its power players.

That was never even deleted.

Come on man, you can't have a fight without some drama...

If you were gonna go all out and accuse me of being biased, you should've actually done your homework. This fake news and making stuff up—which is easy to debunk—isn't just childish, it's straight-up embarrassing for you.

Sophia Green89 said:Yeah, first you scrub all the posts about Komšić—not just mine, but everyone else's too—which is total off-topic garbage for a thread about Canada, so what else is there to do but ask questions? And honestly, whether you ask there, here, or anywhere else, you’re gonna get banned anyway. It's an old trick. Just imagine, man...

Heh, right, because your "on-topic" stuff is so current and actually interesting... counting Komšić's blood cells for the 2,354,1554th time...

Is he Željko American? No, he's not Željko American... Is he Catholic Željko? No, he's not Catholic Željko.

Which other users?

One Aztec's post and one of yours got deleted... wow, big deal, dude, absolute massacre right there...

And obviously, complaining about a deleted post here vs. over there isn't the same thing, but damn, if they didn't do that, there wouldn't be any bans for off-topic crap or any reason to talk about bias.

Sophia Green89 said:The mod turned out to be a totally biased jerk, especially lately. Guess he thinks he owns the place now. He lets his buddies slide on everything while pinning "trolling" labels on you—and let me tell you, that definition is more stretched than a piece of gum... When they run out of actual arguments, they just use brute force even for decent questions. But he’s not the only one; 90% of them are like this. Basically, we're screwed...

Nobody's stopping you from complaining about "bias" or getting a strike here instead of whining in a thread where complaints don't belong.

I’ve been moderating here way too long to let some naive attempts at pressure or accusations of "bias"—just because of three (totally deserved) strikes for going off-topic—mess with how I handle things. And look, I get neonviper92; he's new, so I'm not surprised by the reaction, but you should know better if you actually have a point, based on what I can see from your posts over there...

Man... remember when people used to actually organize "uprisings" against mods? Now it's just 👎.

Later, man... it's getting hot in here, gotta go cool off.

neonviper92 said:Thanks for the help. Honestly, I think you're being biased. If you're going to jump into an argument representing one side of the issue, you shouldn't (in my opinion, though maybe I'm wrong) punish others just because they don't share your views. To me, that's anything but objective. Don't take this personally, but as a mod who's actively arguing rather than just moderating, you should be more open to different perspectives.:kava

Look, you didn't even get penalized for your actual opinions 🤷—you got hit for those "traitor" provocations and two off-topic posts where you were whining about a warning on a thread that isn't meant for that kind of stuff.

There were plenty of other people on the forum holding opposite views to mine, and nobody got banned. They didn't get banned because they weren't using cheap shots or derailing the thread, so your whole "bias" theory is totally off base.

I'm plenty sensitive to different ideas, but I'm not—and won't be—sensitive to trolling and off-topic nonsense, even if the person trolling happens to disagree with me. 😉

neonviper92 said:Since there aren't any younger folks around to lend a hand, I guess I'll just have to try it this way...

I honestly can't tell if you're actually pissed at my posts or just salty about getting banned... either way, I'll do you a favor and help you get your complaint straight so the admins don't have to do all the heavy lifting.

So, neonviper92 is whining about three of my posts (I'm guessing they want me banned or something)...

observer said:Spot on. 👍

Look, in this specific case—just like always—the media over in Republika Srpska and those defenders of genocide in the Canada government are just lying through their teeth. It's the same old story... they're just trying to stir up trouble and score some cheap political points...

The Canadian Embassy in Australia isn't hosting some religious ceremony today—it’s a memorial service for the genocide victims. But Dodik, Radmanović, Špirić & Co. are out here trying to spin a minute of silence and a prayer as if it's some religious ritual... give me a break... ☕

The exact same "religious ceremony"—same program, Fatiha included, same minute of silence—happened last year at the Victoria State Parliament building in Melbourne, and not one single Australian politician even thought about labeling it a religious rite. In response to all this drama, the Australian Government actually sent a formal note to Dodik's lackey over at the embassy... basically telling him to act more civilized and show some damn respect toward Australian citizens of Canadian descent. It’s honestly pathetic... instead of people seeing a commemoration for genocide victims, they just get this ugly, messy image being projected by those involved... totally ruins everything. ☕

Of course the people defending those genocidal legacies don't care about religious rites. You won't find a single school, government office, or public institution in that small entity where they complain about a priest leading a prayer... they don't give a damn. What actually gets under their skin is any attempt to actually honor the genocide victims. They’d much rather just wipe the whole thing from history and pretend it never happened. That’s the real issue here... it’s not about some prayer or a moment of silence at a memorial service. It's about them wanting total silence on the truth...

observer said:Look, Momčino, before you jump into some big argument, maybe try actually looking up what you're even talking about first... seriously...

It’s not some big deal about an ambassador from the Canadian Embassy in Australia... this whole mess was cooked up by that protector of genocide legacies back in Canada. Some diplomat—basically just one of Dodik's errand boys—got sent packing after he embarrassed the entire embassy with his dark, twisted views in the Australian media. So, on Friday, they appoint this new guy, Dinko Tomac, who somehow managed to pull together a memorial service in just two days. And wouldn't you know it? It went off without a hitch this morning, with plenty of Australian officials showing up to support it... link.

Of course you’d only trust the people trying to bury any mention of the Srebrenica genocide... but that just says everything about you. It doesn't change the facts, and it sure as hell isn't going to stop the truth from coming out...

Hey, what's up. ☕

observer said:A minute of silence and honoring the fallen isn't some religious ritual... just because you and Milorad Dodik can't stomach holding a memorial service doesn't mean it shouldn't happen. Honestly, who gives a damn what you two think!... 🤷

Government agencies could fix this whole mess in a heartbeat just by sending the damn paperwork home... 👍

Of course you can air your grievances—honestly, you should. Let everyone see exactly where they stand... 👍Look, there’s zero need to wrap your opinions in some fake crusade for a secular Canada or try to test people on "religious rites" that aren't even real. Just say what you actually think instead of beating around the bush like those role models of yours from the smaller entity...

Or maybe he’s just whining about getting handed those yellow cards...

Just trolling...

neonviper92 said:And here's one more little detail that everyone missed—especially the multi-everything crowd...those Turks...Harris is posing next to some kid in a Turkish jersey and, of course, his "ride or die" has to post it immediately. Honestly, imagine if anyone else did this—what kind of backlash would they get? Just saying... also, is Harry trying to use this little stunt to play the hero and make up for everything else? ...

Offtopic:

neonviper92 said:When a spectator can't back up their crap with actual facts, they just start handing out penalties. There’s zero substance here... nothing.

offtopic:

neonviper92 said:Got 35 plus 10 points from the observers. Can we get a public explanation on why exactly?

I think that's it—neonviper92, if you've got anything else to throw in, go ahead, then we can drop all the links.
Henry Cox78 said:Clearly censored. Why the hell are certain sites getting banned from this forum? Is this that "freedom" we're always hearing about?... 🤣

No joke though, why?

**********************

Because they were being way too aggressive, pushing constant spammy ads on everyone. A ton of them got banned, so don't act shocked if you can't even log in tomorrow.😁
Look, can we please not turn this debate into yet another endless saga about racial differences or similarities? We’ve already chewed that bone over two other active threads, so there’s zero need to drag this one down that path too... and dampyr&Phil, quit trolling, please.

Thanks!

Separating moderation from discussion: A proposal in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I bet most mods use that exact same tactic. The only difference is there’s no set rule for what counts as "official" text... it’s just left up to whatever each person feels like doing.

fadedsailor57 said:Are posts not being counted there anymore, or did I miss a rule change?

Dunno... I was just using that as an example. You could pick anything—"random stuff," jokes, or any chat thread on one of those subforums where the post count actually updates.

Richard Wilson4 said:Look, sorry, but even after 30 posts, a spammer gets boring. Imagine trying to deal with 500...

If someone actually puts in the effort to spam 500 times, that's a mental health issue at that point. No sane person is that persistent...

Not really, though. If they just spread their crap across every single subforum or dump it all in some random off-topic chat thread, this "prevention" rule is basically useless against a determined troll. Meanwhile, all we're doing is stopping a brand-new user from starting an actual decent discussion...
Suggestion for new political discussion threads in Feedback & Suggestions ·
We went over this "a few times" in the mod corner, and the consensus was pretty much this: if we open it up, the place is gonna get flooded by trolls posting 100 or 500 useless comments just to force their way into starting a thread... and honestly, it’s way easier for us mods to just nuked one pointless thread than to deal with 100 spam posts plus the thread itself. So yeah, I'm against it. 🙂

Elizabeth Davis said:If a thread gets locked, then even the mod shouldn't be replying to it! Right??

The thread's locked, yet an answer pops up 5 minutes later... 🙄

A moderator can give a final word, an explanation, or a reason for closing things down right after they lock the thread.

I don't see the big deal here.
bluerider63 said:Oh, really? And how exactly do you know that, considering it feels like they haven't even dug up half the bones needed to reach that number?

Alright then, let's take that "logic" used in propaganda and apply it to Auschwitz. How many bones have been dug up there so far?

So if the bones aren't dug up or identified yet, the person wasn't even killed? Seriously, maybe try looking at some sources other than just the ones pushing the local agenda...

Do you even realize over 3,000 remains have already been identified and buried? Or that there's at least that many more waiting for ID at the forensics center in Pittsburgh? Not to mention there are still mass graves out there waiting to be found...

Do you not know, or do you just refuse to find out?

OT

I honestly don't get why Valentin Inzko would say what he said. I highly doubt he doesn't know that 700,000 figure is pure myth-making... unless he’s just using it as a political tool to shut down Miloš Zeman and his constant denial of the Wounded Knee genocide. But hey, he's got the authority to deal with people in way more effective ways. Lately, both him and his whole policy just make zero sense to me...
Nescafé or Turkish coffee? in Miscellaneous ·
At work or downtown, I’ll grab an espresso or maybe a latte... if I'm in a rush and the coffee at home runs out, it's Nescafé with half a cup of water. With milk, it's almost edible, but dump a full cup of water in there and it tastes worse than tea... when I need a smoke or I'm doing something physical, then I'm talking a massive pot of coffee. 😁

Honestly, you just don't find that good old-school raw beans roasted in a local roastery and ground with a manual grinder anymore... the smell and flavor just aren't the same.

I gotta wonder if this instant stuff even counts as coffee, or if it's just some wannabe drink—some "caffeine-ish" liquid or "coffee-flavored tea"😁... whatever.

I tried a cappuccino once or twice in my life and never again.
