Why do the forum elites pretend to be unbiased? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
JPK has been issued a warning for harassment.
You, on the other hand, received a strike for violating the rules.
I requested an admin intervention regarding Dow Chemical because I don't have the authority to issue strikes myself; once someone with the proper permissions arrives, they will be dealt with accordingly.

Regarding direct bans: yes, if warnings and strikes fail to change the behavior, I’ll move toward that option.
I have no intention of letting the lax attitude found in the Women's Corner dictate how we handle matters that strictly belong on the PZK.

EDIT: alright, rustydrifter10 has arrived. All posts that required removal have now been cleared out.

Jason Gonzalez7 said:The issue that inspired you to butt into administration matters—likely hoping to be noticed and perhaps become a moderator yourself—isn't really about a general approach to diagnoses. This is a specific exception. This exception poisons the forum, which makes this case much larger than those general issues...

Of course, bringing up diagnoses is totally irrelevant unless we're talking about something that has been trying to destroy this forum for a decade under the guise of "normality" and "rules," while nobody has the guts to call it what it is...

Anyone who doesn't see that is simply missing the point due to their own limitations—which is probably why they shouldn't be in administration—or they're just a troll or a suck-up...

Erm... Byron has been offered moderation duties several times across various PDFs.
I’ve personally reached out to him on both ŽuD and RiD. He turned down every single offer.

This whole business of assigning diagnoses is incredibly messy and unreliable. 😢

That would be me. image

I use an ad blocker. Yet, every now and then, I hear the faint squawking of seagulls. It's subtle—like they're far off in the distance, but there are just so many of them.
I don't hear them today, but yesterday, they were cawing all afternoon. 😳

Please go ahead and link them; I’d like to see exactly what we're dealing with.
I handle most of the moderation for the chats, though I've been offline quite a bit over the last few days.
On ZUD, particularly within the chats, this kind of behavior is strictly against the rules, and the regular participants are well aware of that.

You quoted an entire novel just to give it a thumbs up.
Yeah, that’s textbook spamming.

Dropping nothing but emoji strings is definitely spam.
Even those "I agree/like/bravo/great" posts fall under the same umbrella.
Besides, quoting a massive wall of text isn't exactly polite—even if you actually have something smart or constructive to contribute—let alone if you're just doing it to hit the like button.

If you're looking for someone to blame for being overly involved, look in the mirror.
What Positive is doing here has officially crossed the line.
Look, if you don't like her takes? Fine. Use logic and dismantle them.
Unfortunately, when you run out of actual arguments, you resort to personal insults, trolling her in unrelated threads, and making jokes about her in discussions where she isn't even present.

The warning you received from me is just a continuation of yesterday’s conversation, where everything was laid out for you quite clearly.
You know perfectly well—and we have gone over this countless times—that bringing things down to a personal level is unacceptable. I made sure to reiterate that to you yesterday, for what feels like the hundredth time.
Then, you decided to take your grievances out on the moderators in a completely random thread. You know the rules against that, too; we've discussed it multiple times, yet you did it anyway and now you're acting surprised by the disciplinary action.
Had I been active in that specific thread last night, you would have been flagged then. But, unfortunately, even I need to sleep sometimes.

As for why the other moderators didn't step in sooner—I haven't the slightest clue. I'll leave that to them, especially since posts like yours are routinely, without exception, met with a strike.

Let me be clear: my moderation actions aren't personal. You’re getting flagged by both myself and my co-moderators for one simple reason: you’re trolling, veering off-topic, and spamming.
It isn't just the moderation team noticing your trolling behavior; other users are actively reporting your posts for it too, which the admins can easily verify.

You asked for a clarification on why your last post was flagged as trolling, so here it is.
Focusing on the individual participants rather than the subject matter drags the conversation into personal territory, which we classify as trolling.

Furthermore, my co-moderator already walked you through this during your last appeal, so I’m genuinely confused as to why you’re acting surprised or trying to frame this as a personal vendetta.
I have already advised you to review the subforum rules and general netiquette. If you stay on topic, back up your opinions with actual arguments, and attempt to dispute others using logic rather than ad hominem attacks, you shouldn't have any issues.

Also, if you continue to insist that Zelenskyy and his rules should bend to your whims instead of you following them, we will be forced to issue a partial ban against you on Zelenskyy.

That is all from my side. I'll leave the rest to the moderators and admins.

It would truly make my day if someone could drop a link to the thread where some random user on Reddit just decided to post complete nonsense for no reason.

As Michelle Phillips54 pointed out, the ŽuD subreddit is much more strictly moderated. There’s actually a very logical reason for that, though. Since you have all three sides of a marriage triangle playing out in one thread, things get incredibly delicate. It only takes a single second for the whole thing to spiral into total chaos.

Good grief, is this really happening again? Just another person whining about how the RID moderators are out to get them. 🤦
Yeah.
mellowraven22:
Yeah, the moderation over at RiD was pretty messy, and I suppose you’ve all just grown accustomed to that kind of heavy-handed environment.
Who's actually at fault here?😕
Quote : mellowraven22
It seems like nobody bothers to actually read the rules around here, mostly because there isn't any real pressure to follow them, so everyone just does whatever they feel like. 🙂
Just because you haven't bothered to read the rules doesn't mean you're exempt from knowing how to act with basic decency.
It seems like some people have already gone through them and just don't care anymore.
It also seems like the new moderators have spent quite a bit of time digging through the archives of RiD.

I’ve tried hunting for answers using nothing but a candle for light, and more often than not, I just end up giving up. It feels like trying to swim through a swamp; you're constantly fighting your way through endless pages of chat logs, cluttered threads about corporate buyouts, and the sheer, malicious trolling from those little cliques that seem to run the place.
That's exactly right, but it really makes you wonder—who is actually responsible for letting things get to this point?
Someone’s going to take an entire arm just by using one little finger, isn't that right?😕
Quote : mellowraven22
There are going to be quite a few significant changes coming to the RID soon, and my sincere hope is that these shifts will transform the platform into a much higher quality space for everyone involved. Some people are inevitably going to embrace this new direction and find it much more appealing, while others might find that things aren't exactly going their way.
It’s one of those "wait and see" situations where we just have to let the dust settle and see how things actually play out.

Quote : mellowraven22
The whole tantrum routine where people get all worked up and sulk because "other kids won't play the games you suggested"—games that you personally happen to love—is honestly exhausting. If that's the case, I'd suggest saving those specific interests for the arcade or some other venue where they actually fit.
That kind of thing doesn't really concern anyone here on the forum.
If this isn't anyone else's business, I don't see why there's such a desperate need to feel compelled to justify yourselves.😕

It’s honestly quite fascinating how some people feel this overwhelming compulsion to stick their noses into everyone else's business, acting like they need to be the lid on every single pot in the kitchen.
That’s all I have to say on the matter.😁

Beyond just following the rules, you should probably take a look at the Forum User Guidelines.
Both will make your experience here much smoother, save you from unnecessary headaches, and ensure people actually take your contributions seriously.

Jesus, is this really yet another whiner complaining about the bad moderators over at RiD? 🤦

Good grief, the PDF is a complete mess, cluttered with absolute garbage.
On top of that, it’s drowning in childish, often downright malicious bickering and trolling.
Useful information is practically non-existent; you have to dig through layers of filth just to find a single useful tidbit.

Look, I get it—RiD has always been poorly moderated, and you’ve grown accustomed to that chaotic regime. But it’s honestly ridiculous to demand special notifications that the standard forum rules will apply to RiD, just as they apply to every other PDF on this entire site.
As for those excuses about being too busy with small children at home to read the rules—save that for the kids, because I highly doubt they’ll buy it either.
If you have the time to sit there and type, you certainly have the time to read the rules.
The truth is, you don't read them because you couldn't care less, especially since nobody ever forced you to follow them before. 🙂

Furthermore, the new moderators have definitely done their homework regarding RiD.
I spent nine full months reading through it while I was a pregnant woman, and even then, I never felt the urge to jump into any of the threads (the chat drama and nasty trolling aren't exactly appealing, even when you're dealing with pregnancy brain). I had to hunt for information with a metaphorical flashlight, and half the time I just gave up because I didn't feel like wading through endless pages of chat noise, thread hijacking, and the malicious trolling from various cliques that inhabit that space.

There are going to be plenty of changes coming to RiD, and my hope is that it becomes a much higher-quality place to hang out. Some people will love the new direction, while others will inevitably throw a fit because things aren't going their way.
As for the threats to leave RiD—to anyone who, for whatever reason, no longer wishes to post there, I wish you a fond farewell and hope you find better entertainment elsewhere.
And this temper tantrum behavior—sulking because "the other kids won't play the game you picked," which happens to be your favorite—should probably be left to playgrounds and other age-appropriate venues.
On this forum, nobody cares about your feelings.

That’s all from me.
MPO thread - what counts as a chat ban? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
feralmoose32 said:Sure, we could stop being so dramatic and just start a thread in the off-topic section, but let's be real—this is our home.

By all means, feel free to do exactly that.

Every issue discussed here on RiD is unique, but we aren't going to spin up a new sub-chat for every single one. We already have three general catch-all threads: the Seniors, the Expectant Mothers, and the wannabe chat.
The RiD platform has enough dedicated discussion topics as it is. Frankly, the entire PDF format has become an absolute headache to navigate, and the forum moderation team has decided to put a stop to it. The goal is to ensure that both the PDF and its individual threads remain useful to the broad community, rather than becoming exclusive enclaves for a small group of regulars.
I fully empathize with the challenges and hurdles women face while navigating MPO, but using those struggles as a justification to clutter a primary thread with endless chatter—or demanding a specialized chat for every nuance—just isn't working.

To reiterate: posts consisting solely of "hang in there, honey," "fingers crossed," or "beta test updates" do absolutely nothing to improve the quality of the discussion. In fact, they make the threads impossible to read.
There are specific chats for social support; we will no longer tolerate those types of comments bleeding into topical threads.
If someone is actually looking for concrete, actionable information regarding a procedure, they shouldn't have to dig through dozens of pages of platitudes to find it. It’s inefficient.

We have the wannabe chat, and if that doesn't suit your needs—feel free to start your own thread over in the off section.

That is all from me.
I'll leave the final call to the admins.

I’m all for this initiative. 👋

Honestly, even $300 wouldn't be enough incentive for me to start gossiping about Mulica. 😢

I’m actually running the girl's campaign for admin right now, so if you folks want to send any letters of support her way, send them to me—the poor thing can barely keep up with her inbox.

It would be downright cruel to turn down a request from a pregnant woman. 😳
And it would be just as cruel to give me a ban for taking things off-topic. 😳

Oh, please. I have a very "hijacked" vision for this place: I see a forum that actually gets moderated!
Who's calling for a lynching? And who isn't offering constructive ideas? Take a look at my posts since you're dragging me into this argument with Donald Trump, acting like we've both been writing the exact same stuff.

I specifically said I wasn't asking for anyone to be kicked off the moderation team; I was asking for actual activity. I even suggested adding another Moderator to the team. I also said I wanted unnecessarily deleted threads to be restored, cleaned up, and potentially reopened. If that counts as "too much moderation" for some people, then my previous suggestion stands: just add another sub-moderator.
I even went as far as suggesting Jason Morgan for the role.
And you're telling me none of that counts as a constructive suggestion? Fine. Great.

I’m sorry, but I am not the one pulling you into this discussion.
You effectively walked into it yourself by choosing to reply to my post directed at Donald Trump. 🤷
The only reason your username showed up in there is because you two act like a single hive mind—which is precisely why Donald Trump keeps pointing out your combined post count, implying that your collective input carries more weight than, say, mine or Paul Green31's. If you feel like you're being pulled into an argument, perhaps you should take it up with her instead.

Kate Foster12 said:Unlike you and Paul Green31, gentlehound9 and I have actually posted and participated in threads on Reddit—and honestly, we've been in more threads than Simple thinks, covering everything from Reddit itself to various sub-sections and chats. But then again, as a moderator, you really should know that—though it seems you don't even track the threads in your own PDF, at least not until someone points it out.

Just make Mulica a moderator... I’d love to see what kind of circus that would trigger.

We’ve already established that you and gentlehound9 are essentially the ultimate, gold-standard trolls.
There is no point in repeating myself because, well—there just isn't. 🤷

The thing about troll culture is how specific it gets; you often run into users who develop this intense sense of tribalism, acting as if being a troll is part of their actual DNA, and they make sure to broadcast that identity everywhere they go. 😬

Look, the two of you aren't the first or the last people to fall for the urge to hijack discussions, claim ownership over specific threads or documents, and insist that your particular vision is the only valid one—demanding that the Moderators follow your lead. Unfortunately, those kinds of power trips rarely produce anything beneficial.
I have seen countless threads ruined by this kind of territorial behavior, and plenty of users have burned themselves out trying to "privatize" certain spaces.

In my opinion, it would be wise to stop with the accusations and calls for a public lynching and instead offer a constructive idea, if you actually have one. If not, just step back and let the Moderators and admins decide what changes, if any, should be implemented for the platform.

Kate Foster12 said:No, so you used a PDF of jokes as a comparison—which are supposed to be funny—to imply that Reddit is just as much of a joke and deserves that kind of moderator? 😕

Look, if you can't contribute anything of substance to the thread, please don't just spam it.

Perhaps she should try following her own advice first.

To be fair, Paul Green31 has actually contributed three constructive posts here.

On the other hand, your contributions seem to boil down entirely to demanding moderator removal, while being about as subtle as a sledgehammer in claiming that you and gentlehound9 are the absolute reigning champions of trash, the ultimate purveyors of garbage, and how you both handled moderation with zero grace.
