Milk doesn't have any iron in it... so I guess if you're drinking milk, it's not doing anything for your blood iron levels anyway.
As for those studies people post all over the internet? There’s an old saying back home that basically means anyone can write whatever they want on a stove... and I think that applies here too.
Vitamins are incredibly heat-sensitive, so they pretty much get destroyed every time you cook something. That kind of food might still have calories, but from a nutritional standpoint, it's basically empty. The shorter the cooking time, the more vitamins actually stay intact. In that sense, maybe even using a microwave isn't such a bad idea...
But, just so there's no confusion, nothing beats fresh fruit and vegetables... you really can't go wrong there.
Look... if you're dealing with liver issues, you’re supposed to be on a strict liver diet... so, I guess, cutting back on fats isn't really an option there...
If you've got high triglycerides or cholesterol... then... I don't even know...
In theory, you wouldn't need some nasty pig fat packed into a single pill, because if that were actually the case, they probably would have just sold it that way...
Not to mention how adding pig fat would drive the price up by $17
Why should I be avoiding fatty foods, and what kind of supplements are we even talking about here? (No worries if you can't say, I get it).
A lot of stuff—like Vitamin E—is fat-soluble, meaning it needs oil to actually get absorbed. But usually, they already pack enough fats right into the pills themselves... In my opinion—and please, correct me if I'm wrong—you’ll probably get the best absorption out of those kinds of tablets if you wash them down with some whole milk.
As for swallowing straight oil, honestly, your stomach might start making some pretty loud growling noises.😉
Then you've got the ones that don't just shut those two out, but actually have that whole extra 'dimension' to them—where you're basically forgiving someone to get rid of your own resentment, or to settle some perceived debt they owe us, or maybe even just to forgive ourselves for whatever mess we made along the way.
Look... If you aren't even sure if the other person is going to screw up again—then forgiving them is just plain stupid. It's a mistake. And if you're "forgiving" someone just because that's how you were raised or because it's what people expect? I guess that's just a fancy way of saying you're too weak to handle the confrontation. It's an excuse to run away from the conflict.
In any other scenario, though? Yeah, forgiveness is strength.
There’s a massive difference between looking someone in the eye and taking their life, versus just sitting behind a screen playing Warcraft and sending an army off to slaughter people...
- maybe a magnesium deficiency - gotta upgrade my monitor setup (Dell or something) - for the wife, less time hunched over the computer and more time hanging out by the kitchen sink 😉
Did you actually land hard on your knee, or did you just twist it? If you twisted it, I guess it’s not that weird if it isn't swelling up yet. You could have torn a ligament or something...
Seriously though, watch out for that knee. It’s probably one of the most complicated joints in the body, especially since it carries so much weight. Any injury there tends to just get worse over time, I think...
Pure nonsense.... I mean, I guess you're just salty because you didn't make the cut for med school, right?
If you actually knew a single doctor in real life, you wouldn't be posting this garbage..
Besides, if you really hate doctors that much, maybe try being consistent for once. Next time you have a stomach ache, don't bother going to the ER since they're all trash anyway.
Look, there’s never actually been any proof that aluminum causes Alzheimer . It’s just one of those theories people throw around... I mean, if that were actually true, you'd see plenty of Alzheimer patients who don't even use deodorant or drink Coke from cans, right? So, I guess it doesn't really hold up.
Yeah, right... big pharma companies are basically just non-profits dedicated to the greater good of humanity... Developing a single new drug costs about $500 million, and I guess they just collect all that cash through voluntary donations.. And don't forget, every single expert working there is just a volunteer who works part-time after their real job, or maybe they just dedicated their entire lives to science and work there full-time for free... Oh, and when someone sues a company because a medication actually failed them, the government just steps in and writes a massive check for hundreds of millions to cover the damages so the corporations don't take a hit...
If some other pharmaceutical giant comes up with a better cure, they probably just sit down and agree to distribute it together... Naturally, distribution channels are way cheaper for developing nations, and I suppose drugs for AIDS are much more affordable for people who clearly aren't using protection and are being promiscuous... because hey, they're human beings too, right?
Look, if we're actually going to have a debate here, you should probably start by mentioning your education or at least where you're getting all this info from...
though I get the feeling any real discussion would just die right then and there😉
If people stopped drinking Cola, they'd just find some other sugary soda to obsess over instead.. So, I guess some other drink would just end up being the new 'healthy' choice, if you can even call it that.
Do people actually change their minds about Coca-Cola once they get hired by the company? Probably... I mean, otherwise they'd just get fired, right?
Look, this isn't about stooping to her level, it's about fighting for what you're entitled to... If I were you, I’d head down there in person and demand an appointment right then and there. And if she tries to brush you off? You go straight to the hospital director.
I actually did something similar once because of a nurse. I wrote to both the hospital director and the Department, demanding a full explanation of everything they had done regarding her conduct...
I mean, this whole thing feels more like a classic case of media sensationalism than an actual sign of a failing healthcare system... (not that our medical system is doing great, obviously)
How do I actually set an animated GIF as my avatar? I mean, I've found plenty of sites with ready-made ones, but for some reason, they just stay static on this forum... they won't loop or anything...
(Honestly, I was hoping for something where the cash is actually counting up, instead of just sitting there being still 😬 ))
