😲 😲 honestly, they should put this in big, bold red letters somewhere because I had absolutely no clue... 😳
OT: my inbox is getting way too hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 👋

And honestly, looking at everyone else in the diaspora 🙂 what’s your actual plan? Are we talking about having specific threads for work, moving to the US, what people do for fun, traffic jams, or maybe even weather forecasts...? There’s so much room for endless chatting and just blowing up the boards if we go that route. Following that logic, we’d basically need ten different sections for Canada, Australia, or even the UAE too...
It doesn't have to be just one single topic, but we definitely can't have fifty different ones either...
Of course it exists. It’s just like having an option to pay out those penalties... Just because something is laid out in black and white doesn't mean it actually happens in the real world, it just gives you a bit more legal breathing room when things get messy.
Well, you pretty much answered your own question right there... if they're running late because of their own screw-up, then yeah, they owe penalties, but otherwise, no way...
Look, you can just file the report if you want to, nobody's stopping you... based on what you've actually written here, though, it’s honestly pretty tough to tell if there’s enough substance to actually justify a formal complaint or a lawsuit...
Look, the mods don't really get to play god by deciding which topics we can or can't talk about, but they definitely have the right to step in if someone breaks the rules we've all agreed on. It usually starts with warnings, then you start racking up strikes, which leads to a three-day ban, maybe seven... and if things don't change, it ends with a permanent ban. That’s just how the game is played here. You've gotta realize that not everyone views this forum through the same lens that you do, and honestly, not everyone is going to end up being the kind of user you think they should be...
That user actually ended up getting some warnings and their controversial posts were wiped from the board too. Since you're still pretty new to the community here, if I can offer a bit of advice, it’s probably better to just report any posts you think are out of line instead of getting dragged into an argument or trying to give them a taste of their own medicine 🙂 Also, if someone starts being rude or insulting in your private messages, you can report that by clicking the little triangle icon in the top right corner, and the mods will handle the punishment.
