I’m just sitting here wondering when the new RB is actually going to show up. Will it come with a gold exhaust pipe featuring "Adrian Newey" engraved in diamonds 😍 and "Red Bull Mafia" etched in tiny silver letters underneath? 🙂
I'm also dying to see what Mercedes is up to—like, I am seriously obsessed with that Mercedes right now 😳... as for the rest of them, I honestly couldn't care less.

Though, let's be real, the McLaren is looking gorgeous again. 👍

Still not an issue🙂
All you really have to do is hit "log out" before you close the forum and everything should work perfectly fine...
It's a minor hassle, sure, but still way better than getting logged out every five minutes.😳

There’s also that workaround using a portable version of Chrome on a USB stick. That way you don't have to worry about anything since your browser is right there on the drive...
Just set a master password for Chrome and you're golden.🙂
Haven't tried it myself, but if I remember correctly, I read that it works without any issues.😁

Nathan Jones98's Ferrari used to be relevant, but their last truly elite car was ages ago.🤷
If my memory serves me right, back when they were running under some different leadership...🤔
It basically means this current crew hasn't built a single legitimately great car. Ever.

And honestly, they’ve had an insane amount of luck just to stay in any kind of title fight... and then they somehow managed to blow it—not once, but multiple times (and I'm talking about the team, not the drivers).

Ever since this "new era" team took over at Ferrari:
Running cars based on the "old foundation"...
2007 - More luck than brains. That title belonged more to the Hamilton/Alonso/Dennis trio than to Ferrari.
2008 - Singapore > Mechanics > Fuel hose > Massa = total disaster.

New regulations, a completely new car designed by this specific group, and where are they?
2009 - Literally nowhere.
2010 - They weren't even fighting for the title because of the car; it was mostly because everyone else choked and made massive mistakes, plus Alonso having a hell of a season.
But that tactic of covering for Webber > Petrov > sitting around waiting for a miracle without doing anything? Total joke.
2011 - Basically non-existent again.
2012 - Once again, the title fight wasn't due to the car being a beast. It was thanks to competitors tripping over themselves (mostly McLaren, but also Red Bull wandering early on, and missed opportunities from Lotus, Mercedes, Williams, and Sauber) combined with Alonso’s best year ever.
In my book, the team is still to blame for losing that title, specifically because of Monza.
If Alonso had just nailed a fast lap in qualifying there, he would've started in the front two, because they actually had the best pace that weekend... instead, the geniuses decided to have him "hold up" Massa in qualifying.
Don't even get me started on the car's development toward the end of the season.

Looking at everything from 2009 to now, Ferrari hasn't actually built a proper, championship-contending car. They just had incredible luck and world-class drivers. And they only got that driver because he happened to end up at McLaren, which is why he moved to them in the first place. Honestly, who's to say Kimi wouldn't have grabbed another title if he'd stayed put?🤷

Plus, from what I hear, they've formed a "parallel team" to work on the 2014 design.
If 2013 turns out to be another train wreck while the 2014 car looks decent, you can bet the crew responsible for the 2013 car will be heading straight to the unemployment line.😳
The only real question left is figuring out which people are on the "2013 car" team and which ones are on the "2014 car" team. 🤷

steelmaker83 said:Let’s be real: when you look at Ferrari—specifically Alonso—he’s been the only one actually making life difficult for Red Bull over the last three years. In two of those seasons, he dragged that championship fight right down to the final corner.

A miss?

Even if there were technical failures with the car, the driver wasn't the problem. You don't fire management just because the machinery fails.

What on earth does Alonso’s driving have to do with design failures, wind tunnel issues, or whatever other excuses they're using?😕
And how does his talent justify keeping a crew that can't even build a decent car?😕

Besides, haven't you noticed the pattern over the last five seasons?...
Ferrari fights for the title in even years, then completely falls apart in odd years with a car that can't even touch the frontrunners...
It's obvious: their mid-season development cycle is a mess, and those mistakes clearly haunt them the following year...
That screams "something is broken internally." Money isn't the issue—they've got plenty of that. It's pure incompetence at the organizational level...
If these aren't the kinds of massive failures that warrant firing people, then what is?

And where did you get the idea that Alonso is the only one, and why are we only looking at the last three years?🤷
Direct title battles against Red Bull/Vettel:
Vettel vs Button - 1-1
Vettel vs Alonso - 2-0

If you're totally lost, just go back to where you started—back when you weren't exactly breaking any speed records.😁
I’ve got a feeling that if things don't turn around, this might be the final year for Leclerc, Sainz, and maybe even Lewis at Ferrari.😳
I highly doubt Ferrari management is going to sit there and take six years of straight failures in a row...

If you click the link, you'll see what the Can-Am series was all about—it wasn't just endurance stuff, but sprint races lasting maybe two or two and a half hours, pretty much like the Grand Prix races back in the day. You’re gonna spot a ton of legends from the GP world here. We're talking Bruce McLaren, John Surtees, Phil Hill, Jackie Stewart—guys who basically drove anything with wheels, from Formula 1 cars to sports cars, endurance races, Indianapolis, the Tasman Cup, and this Can-Am series. Once, they actually asked Jochen Rindt— "What do you do, Mr. Rindt, once the Grand Prix season wraps up?" —and Rindt just shot back: "I race!" Times have changed, though. Nowadays, guys like Alonso and Vettel—total bottom-of-the-deck players (moderators, chill—calling them "bottom-of-the-deck" isn't an insult, it's just a way of saying they don't measure up to names like Rindt, Clark, or Hill in ruggedhawk20's eyes, obviously)—are probably busy hitting some spas or chilling at a ski resort. Forty or fifty years ago, their predecessors were out there actually racing. Anyway, enjoy the clips.

By that logic, Vettel, Schumacher, Grosjean, and Karthikeyan would be the heavy hitters, not the bottom of the deck... 🤷 because those four definitely drove something even after their Formula 1 seasons ended.

The rest of them? Nothing. So they’d be the ones landing in that "bottom of the deck" group. 🤔

If we’re following that logic, we could find a reason to celebrate pretty much every single day.😬

350 points - mass ban evasion and partial ban in Feedback & Suggestions ·
An actual reasoned complaint?
Based on what? You're comparing posts that have absolutely nothing to do with each other.🤷
So, I’ve got this interesting little setup going with my eight posts out of fifty-three on this thread...
Eight posts? Please. It’s not just about those eight posts you're fixated on—you’ve got 53 comments on this thread alone. And you’re already jumping into qualifying by pointing fingers, claiming that one driver absolutely trashed his session by driving off track. Give me a break.
And you’re already at it—trash-talking Kimi Räikkönen while trolling the thread. You clearly love picking fights with that specific group of fans just to get a reaction. Typical.
So, basically, you just love stirring the pot with different fans and trash-talking pretty much every driver outside of whoever you actually root for...
And that’s just about enough.

Let's go with the last post you didn't include. He's one of the absolute worst....
So, you watched the race, saw the replay, and even checked the live broadcast—and there was zero mention of any penalties or even an investigation into that incident. Nothing.
Check out this video after the race showing how Alonso and Ferrari aren't even complaining about Kimi Räikkönen's move... and then they do it all over again. Just watched the video. You’re still out here insisting Kimi Räikkönen is the one to blame, acting like it's common sense for anyone with half a brain.

And you clearly know exactly how the rules work in Formula 1...
Look, you know perfectly well that Kimi was right on Alonso's tail and got shoved off the track. You also know it’s enough for Kimi to get his front wing right up against the rear tire of Alonso's car—if he does that, Alonso pushing him wide could actually be a penalty if the stewards decide to call it. There aren't any specific rules about parts of the car touching in that scenario. Ahead. Alonso...
And honestly, anyone who can actually see that Kimi was played there knows he isn't the one at fault. You really shouldn't label them as idiots just because they see what's actually happening.

And I won't even get started on those sneaky little insinuations in that post about how Kimi was being careless. They used this incredibly "cleverly" worded sentence implying he basically charged straight into the back of Alonso just because he wasn't paying attention... as if that's the case.

Here’s how it actually looks in the real world:
Alonso is the one. I don't even know where to start with this one. Just... wow. Kimi Räikkönen is just pure chemistry. Driven off the track.
On his way back to the pits, Kimi loses control of his car and slams right into Fernando Alonso's.
The pros are calling this a racing incident. They're saying Kimi didn't do a thing wrong—basically, it's on Alonso for pulling out of the race himself.

Neither Alonso nor Ferrari have any complaints about Kimi and the moves he's making.
If they’d actually complained, they would've definitely known about it—either by reading it or hearing it on the broadcast, just like we all did at Monza.
The fact that there wasn't even an appeal just proves Kimi didn't do a single thing wrong.
And it happened again during the broadcast. It was crystal clear exactly what went down and how it played out.

It was obvious from the start that Kimi Räikkönen wasn't at fault here. Neither Alonso nor Ferrari even bothered to complain about his move, even though Kimi was still their direct rival for the driver's championship and his Lotus was a major threat to their position in the constructors' standings.
And they didn't even complain, despite the fact that moving up a few spots in the constructors' standings means millions of dollars in prize money. It’s pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain that Kimi is the reason why, yet nobody's saying a word.
And they didn't even complain. It’s wild because we all know how this works—any grievance from a driver or a team, especially when they're fighting for the title or crucial points, gets hauled straight to the FIA stewards. Sometimes you get an instant ruling, and other times that little message pops up on the screen saying the incident will be investigated after the race. They call the drivers in, sit around reviewing replays and telemetry, and then—lo and behold—absolutely nothing happens. Just total nothingness.

If the fault was as obvious as you claim—and if it really was "enough for the smart people" to figure out—don't you think Ferrari or Alonso would be out there demanding a penalty for Kimi Räikkönen?
Shouldn't they just tell them that if Kimi gets penalized, he’ll end up with zero points or maybe just one or two?
Ferrari’s pulling ahead in the Constructors' Championship, holding a 6 to 8 point lead over their direct rivals, Lotus.
- Fernando Alonso already holds a 6-8 point lead over one of his main title rivals

And none of that happened, even though you’re insisting Kimi is clearly at fault and that "enough is enough"...
There is zero chance I'm buying your act that you were being serious instead of just trolling and poking at Kimi's fans.
Not while you're tossing out conspiracy theories about how he was just trying to help a buddy chase the championship.

As for comparing our posts...
If I recall correctly, during the Italian Grand Prix, I argued that the FIA—specifically the stewards—were being inconsistent because they hadn't penalized similar incidents leading up to that race. I also pointed out they didn't penalize other drivers for similar or even worse moves (especially Prost) and suggested they should have either hit them too or just called everything a "racing incident."
It would be the same if Kimi had complained, or if the Lotus boss had complained, or if the stewards had penalized Alonso for that incident but then failed to penalize Kimi for a nearly identical clash with Perez...
In that imaginary scenario, I'd be the first person to back you up and say the officiating wasn't fair.

But as far as I remember, at the Italian GP, I did NOT:
- insult Alonso
- insult everyone on the topic by calling them idiots for failing to see that Alonso was the sole person at fault
- claim that Alonso ruined Sebastian Vettel's race and qualifying
- troll or provoke specific fans from the start of the weekend until the very end

Even if I did, according to whatever logic you're using to justify yourself😕
If I'm trolling, then I deserve a warning card, because I'm a forum user just like you. I can get a strike or a ban just like anyone else...
My posts can be reported and moderated just as easily as an admin's.
I actually don't have a problem with that... if a moderator decides I need a strike for a post or a ban because of my entire history on this thread, fine by me.🤷>

Just because someone else did something doesn't give you the right to do the same thing, only several times worse... and you just keep quieting down for a bit... only to lash out again... even after being warned directly.

You've been warned to stop the trolling, the provocation of fans, and the trash-talking of various drivers on the grid.
Since you didn't stop, you got a partial ban. And no, it wasn't because of this thread about the Japanese GP; it's because of your behavior over a long stretch on the Formula 1 Reddit, and your stubborn refusal to stop repeating the same patterns.

Besides, if my memory serves me right, you promised both me and Tyndall that if your permanent ban ever gets lifted, you wouldn't pull any more crap at football games. If I'm remembering correctly, you even asked for a cut of the money from that PDF. 🤔
What are you even doing over there?🤷

Regarding that second post—yeah, my bad. I accidentally flashed a yellow instead of a red. I ended up asking them to take the yellow back, then finally handed out the red card. My mistake.

So what if he stayed yellow? What's the big deal?
First off, consider this a yellow card warning. If you keep acting like this, you’re getting a red. And if you keep pushing it even after the red? You're banned. Period.
Hertz doesn't have any active bans on them... so again, what exactly is the problem?

Where do you get the idea that someone else's nonsense somehow justifies your own?
You’re responsible for what you post. Period. Just because someone else is doing it doesn't make it okay—especially when it's the same people constantly repeating the same tired points.

2. - I already explained to you.
This isn't about just one or two posts; it's a massive string of them stretching through this entire thread.
With the server acting up, I honestly didn't have the chance to click through the posts in the mod panel because of constant 503, 504, and 408 errors.
Besides that, you got the warning on your profile because you've been relentlessly trolling and baiting fans using the exact same pattern.

3. - Unfortunately, you didn't give us any other choice.
You've been warned—I don't even know how many times at this point—to stop trolling and provoking various Reddit users and fans regarding Formula 1, and you were warned over a long period by every single moderator on this sub.
But you didn't just refuse to stop; after every single warning, you kept right on going, and then you moved on to provoking the moderators too.
Then you started dragging old, irrelevant, or even completely random posts into your appeals, including stuff from years ago, just looping endlessly until you get bored...

You were warned that if you didn't drop the act, you'd face another partial ban on Formula 1.
Instead, you kept it up, and that's exactly why you got it.

Quick take on all this talk about Kimi potentially grabbing the title...

Anything can happen at this point...
Everyone seems to have written off the McLaren duo, but honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if they pulled something off...

Red Bull looked phenomenal in USA; actually, they looked totally dominant with plenty left in the tank.
But given how this season has played out and how fast the power balance shifts, nothing would surprise me—not even a dominant McLaren, Lotus, or even Ferrari showing up in the next few races...

I’ve got a feeling the teams just haven't gotten used to this new points system yet.🤷
There are still 125 points left on the table.😳

Even Button isn't out of the running with his 63-point deficit...☕
Two bad races for Vettel and Alonso and boom—the whole crew of Kimi, Hamilton, Button, and Webber could easily find themselves in a serious title fight heading into the last three races.😳

Let's say a somewhat crazy scenario...

South Korea:
Button - 25, Webber - 18, Hamilton - 15, Kimi - 12, Alonso and Vettel - out of points.

Standings:
01 Fernando Alonso 194
02 Sebastian Vettel 190
03 Kimi Räikkönen 169
04 Lewis Hamilton 167
05 Jenson Button 156
06 Mark Webber 152

India:
Button - 25, Webber - 18, Hamilton - 15, Kimi - 12, Alonso and Vettel - out of points.

Standings:
01 Fernando Alonso 194
02 Sebastian Vettel 190
03 Lewis Hamilton 182
04 Jenson Button 181
05 Kimi Räikkönen 181
06 Mark Webber 170

Three races left and everyone is within 25 points. Bernie's probably rubbing his hands together right now...
Impossible scenario?
Based on what we've seen so far, it looks like it...
but it's not exactly impossible or completely insane.

And I can't help but think Bernie might even cook something up like this just to send the viewership through the roof.😳

steelmaker83 said:What are you so worked up about? You’re the first one to trash Alonso, and now you're trying to lecture me on morality?!

Where exactly am I trashing Alonso?
If I say he got lucky because everyone else had issues, I'm saying it because I actually think he got lucky...
If I say I think he's worse than Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel in qualifying, I'm saying it because that's my opinion and the stats back it up.

And no, I won't be writing that he’s done nothing this season—🙄 actually, if I recall, I've said a few times now that I think he's having his best season yet.
I'm definitely not going to call him a "pseudo-champion," a fraud, or some total amateur.

Sure, you might see me writing glowing praise about how legendary Vettel was in USA.
But even then, I don't write it just because the competition fell apart. Even though I think he would've won anyway because the car was clearly perfect at Ford, I don't feel the need to claim Vettel was a god and everyone else was a disaster, a joke, a fraud, or an idiot.🙄

Am I trashing Alonso because of his start or what? Because I'm not.
Maybe I'm "trashing" him when I point out the fact, well before the first practice session, that his best qualifying result at Ford is 5th place, that he seemingly can't get the track right, and that he constantly runs into trouble there...
Is that "trashing"?

If I were actually a hater, after last race's results, I'd have plenty of ammunition to tear into Alonso. Go ahead, try and find a single post where I've actually gone on a rant against him.
Who knows, maybe you'll surprise me. If you actually show me where I'm wrong, I'll be sure to fix it...

Honestly, enough with the constant trash-talking and belittling the drivers.
I’m seriously fed up with this nonsense. Consider this my final warning: knock it off.
😳

I truly don't get it. I can wrap my head around having different opinions on someone's skill behind the wheel—that's fine.👍
But calling world champions "nobodies"? Especially when we're talking about a driver who’s grabbed six podiums this season, scored points in 14 out of 15 races, and is the only one to actually finish every single race? Calling him a non-factor is just delusional...🤦

steelmaker83 said:And one more thing. No matter how much people complain about the tires, I don't think the tire degradation has actually stopped...

Yeah, I can see that too. It just feels like every team is intentionally slowing their drivers down so it isn't as obvious anymore...

http://en.mclarenf-1.com/index.php?p...=Mark Webber

If you look at Vettel's times, it's clear his fastest lap was about 1 to 1.3 seconds quicker than his previous average, even on 14-lap old tires...
It’s obvious teams are being way more careful with tire management now than they used to be...

Times would probably be a lot faster, but they'd have to commit to a one-stop strategy and risk the tires giving out in the final laps...
Basically, all the teams just stopped using those aggressive tactics.

Even back in Singapore, we saw Massu pushing like crazy because he ended up behind, so they went for that aggressive approach and didn't baby the tires at all...

Who knows, maybe we'll get a surprisingly fast race toward the end of the season—like the last or second to last one—and see Pirelli fall apart again.😳

Honestly, this is the best video I've come across yet. Exactly what I needed to finally make sense of this whole situation.
It’s pretty depressing, honestly. Especially once they actually start enforcing those rules from Indy. This is basically a drive-through for Alonso.Honestly, it’s probably for the best. They didn't earn it anyway.
I think Kimi's front wing was actually ahead of Fernando's rear left tire before they made contact.
The crucial part is from 0:34 to 0:40.

Maybe by that precedent, sure, but common sense says absolutely not.
It’s just racing, honestly. And don't even get me started on that start... what a mess.

At the end of the day, it was pure, unadulterated stupidity. Honestly, who's even going to bother punishing anyone for something that dumb?
Look, when you're staring down a massive pack of cars at the start, things get messy fast. It’s not like you can just glance around and see everyone's position perfectly. You're flying at insane speeds, trying not to wreck, and suddenly someone's in your space. It's chaos.

There definitely needs to be a penalty when someone drives like a blind man—total Grosjean style—and slams right into another car. Ahead. I don't even know where to start with this one. Just... wow. 🤦
Look, a little side-to-side nudge in the middle of a pack isn't even in the same league as something like that. You can't even begin to compare them. It’s not even close.

There’s a massive difference between squeezing someone at the start or forcing them out in a corner versus what just happened on that straightaway. There was plenty of room there. It wasn't even a battle; it was just a case of following exactly what the guy behind you is doing.
At the end of the day, that rule exists specifically to say the driver has to leave space. On the plains....
Look, I wouldn't say it's written there for nothing... because once you hit the straightaways, it’s actually pretty easy to track exactly where the other car is and what they're doing.
Look, hitting that apex perfectly isn't exactly easy, and trying to navigate the chaos of a standing start? That’s a total crapshoot. It's practically impossible to stay clean when everyone's fighting for space.

If you ask me, that penalty Vettel got at Indy was a massive stretch. It made zero sense. Honestly, based on how I read the rulebook, that call wasn't even consistent with the actual regulation.
If they actually slapped Alonso with a penalty for that move at the start using that same rule, things would be getting absolutely ridiculous.🤦

On top of all that chaos at the start, we’ve still got to deal with something called a blind spot.
Looking at all the footage, I’d bet anything Kimi was right there in that blind spot. There's no way Alonso even saw him. He really should’ve been keeping an eye on where Perez was, what Button was doing, and just tracking everyone else around him...
Heading out and wondering where Grosjean might land next. Will he actually find a decent seat, or is he just looking at a dead end?
If they’d actually penalized Alonso for that move, I’d be the first one in your ear arguing that the penalty was total nonsense. I’d be telling you straight up that it was a massive joke and easily the dumbest call in the history of the sport.😳
Look, I'm not even an Alonso fan, and honestly, a penalty like that would actually help the driver I *do* root for.

The FIA usually manages to screw things up with some brainless decisions, but somehow, by some miracle, the stewards actually did a decent job this time. 👍

They’ve still got plenty of work to do, but they definitely need to put Grosjean on ice.
Look, maybe what he did on its own isn't an automatic ban, but given his track record? One more slip-up like that and he definitely deserves the boot. The kid just refuses to learn. 🤦
Maybe those guys over at Detroit are even worse, because if they can't see that there's a fundamental issue with his vision and perception, then we're really in trouble.🙄
