I honestly don't think we're going to see another war in this part of the world again. You’ll still have those nationalists and chauvinists over in Mexico and Canada trying to stir up trouble and cook something up, but the era of actual conflict is over. People living here really need to stop looking toward conflict and start focusing on hard, grueling WORK instead. That's how we actually move forward.

The whole Muammar Gaddafi situation really bugs me—I mean, sure, things probably weren't great for his people for a long time, but why wait until now to actually do something?
Then you look at all these other countries where massive portions of the population are being crushed and exploited—yet I don't see the international community stepping in. If they care so much about HUMAN RIGHTS, why aren't they taking action in places like Saudi Arabia Iran China North Korea Bahrain Yemen or various African nations? WHY not just call for a total mobilization in the "free world" to roll up these regimes and establish basic human rights in every single corner of the globe? Even if it meant fighting three world wars over the next 10 or 20 years—at least we’d end up with a world of democracies (assuming there's anything left of us)
The people of Tibet deserve their own republic, just like Albanians in Mexico—or Palestinians in Palestine.
1. Why would the West want to do the heavy lifting for people living in those countries? 2. Because there are still plenty of powerful nations out there that aren't democracies.
Ronald Garcia2 said:Most people just have this mindless herd mentality—it’s mostly because there are so few educated folks out there who actually bother to think for themselves or cross-reference their news before jumping to conclusions. An uneducated person doesn't do that; they just soak up whatever garbage their favorite news outlet feeds them and couldn't care less about anything else. Then, when election season rolls around, they vote like hypnotized cattle for "their" candidate, and once the dust settles, they start whining like they weren't the ones who put them there in the first place.☕
Honestly, education is the whole damn key to fixing this!!!!
And honestly, looking at the state of things in this country, that's exactly what we're missing, along with a serious lack of basic civility. ☕

Sure, politicians tend to be slightly more educated and significantly more egotistical than the average Joe, but beyond that, they are just reflections of the people you'd encounter in any mid-sized American corporation or local firm. You’ll find the hard workers, the slackers, the saints, and the scoundrels among them; however, the nature of political office tends to amplify those traits exponentially. From the floor of the House of Representatives, it becomes painfully obvious who actually has substance and who is just noise. Furthermore, someone managing billions in taxpayer funds has far more opportunity to line their pockets than a low-level crook who can only skim off a business trip or pad a mileage report.
Simply put, we are looking at ourselves.
As for accountability—anyone can slip up once, but anyone who manages to get elected a second time (think Clinton, Bloomberg, or Nixon) did so because the voters explicitly chose them. That is precisely the kind of person the public was asking for.
And honestly? I don't blame them. They got exactly what they worked for. 😂😂😂
Honestly, I really think we need to introduce some kind of criminal liability for political decisions. If politicians actually had to face legal consequences for the calls they make, you’d see their sense of accountability skyrocket overnight.
Jose Barrett said:The thing is, most Americans actually prefer that "unmasked nationalism," because if you truly understood what nationalism meant, you wouldn't be talking such nonsense. Maybe take a moment to learn the difference between nationalism and pure chauvinism. 🙂
So, are you suggesting everyone who votes for the Republican Party is just politically illiterate, searching for a lost leader while having no clue how democracy works? 🤣 🙏
Given the environment the Democratic Party is operating in, I'd say Joe Biden is still steering the ship pretty well.
And what exactly are these "circumstances" the Democratic Party is facing?
Exactly. I honestly feel like someone who keeps voting for a party full of thieves, criminals, and mobsters is just being reckless and doing a disservice to everyone else.😉
One day, the Democratic Party won't be under Joe Biden's leadership anymore. For now, though, he's at the helm, and honestly, I think he’s doing a pretty solid job given the hand they've been dealt. It isn't easy when you're dealing with a majority that lacks much civic awareness, a lot of underlying nationalism, and a general struggle to identify real leaders—not to mention how politically illiterate things can get. Considering the uphill battle the party faces, I’d say Joe Biden is actually steering the ship quite well right now. Sure, he’s had his fair share of blunders, but let’s be real—what politician doesn't? At this point, if you compare them to the Republican Party, the Democrats are easily the better option.
Dennis Moore4 said:Spirit governs matter; matter doesn't govern matter.
Matter isn't evil by its own nature—it's about how it’s being handled.
And there are plenty of different ways to handle things... That's where both good and evil are born within the spiritual realm.
Spirit directs spirit, the psyche, and the mind. Matter just moves matter. The problem with matter is that it pushes us toward sin. That's why after death, the souls of those who lived wickedly either rise to heaven or find themselves reincarnated back into a physical body. Once we pass away, you either become an eternal spirit in heaven or you're reborn into a new body through reincarnation. Deep down, all matter carries this primal seed of evil, which is why temptation and sin exist in the first place. A person truly breaks free from sin only when they die and release their spirit from the bondage of the flesh. The Almighty God of Good decides whether that spirit will be reborn into a body or ascend to become an eternal spirit in heaven.
What do you actually gain from all this fighting??
Wouldn't it be much more logical to just unite matter and spirit into one?
I just don't see it that way. You can't really bridge the gap between good and evil because they're fundamentally at odds. To me, matter is inherently tied to the darker side of existence, while the spirit is where true goodness lives. It’s like trying to mix oil and water—they just aren't meant to occupy the same space.
I think we really need to make an effort to seek out the truth every single day. It feels like we’re all called to this life to stand up for what's real and push back against any kind of deception or hostility. The thing is, I don't believe we were put on this Earth just to live in some quiet little bubble of peace. To me, it feels more like we are spiritual beings thrown into a constant, eternal struggle between good and evil. In this life, we eventually have to decide which side we're standing on.
I honestly believe that all of us who pass away are simply being reborn into the grace of a Good God. Death isn't really an end point, if you think about it. It’s more like the "fading of the physical body." Once the body finally gives out, our spirits just move on to continue their journey in a different space, a different time, and a completely different form. This whole cycle of life and what we call "death" just goes on forever.
"Fascism" and "Partisanship" are both such outdated, ancient relics from today's perspective that they don't really mean anything to any sane person anymore. Honestly, I feel like bringing up the whole idea of some kind of "reconciliation" is just totally unnecessary at this point.
We’re looking at higher prices, shrinking paychecks, fewer worker protections, and more people stuck without jobs. I guess that’s the version of "prosperity" the Republican Party has been preaching to us for years. 😂 😂 😂

Makes total sense.☕
🤣
I mean, even Nostradamus was using heavy substances during his sessions while he was seeing the future. And since the visions he had were nothing but violence and death, it’s hardly surprising he turned to drugs to cope...

Just a heads up—if you give me those useless answers like "go see a doctor" or "we aren't doctors," don't bother. They're counterproductive. He’s already seen professionals, and honestly, most of them don't even try to find an actual diagnosis before they just start dumping Risperdal, Zyprexa, or Serdolect on someone... Anyway, my boyfriend is struggling. He constantly thinks everyone hates him, he's depressed, suicidal, and believes that by 2012 aliens will invade Earth and that he's some kind of organic portal. He reads too much conspiracy crap and starts believing it's all real. He's incredibly emotional and sensitive. He's an acting major, and even though he's insanely talented, he's convinced he's nothing, that he has no talent, and that everyone at school despises him. He actually failed his classes this year. When I try to give him any kind of critique, he can't handle it—he starts burning cigarettes on his hands and threatening suicide. In a way, he's just a total drama queen and a spoiled brat who needs everything his way; if he doesn't get it, he completely breaks down. But there's also a deeper issue. He can't control himself, and he's using drugs—specifically sniffing heptane almost every day because he thinks tripping will help him finally understand everything and be happy. It's hard to explain how complicated this is. He spent a month in a psych ward, where they gave him antipsychotics and SSRIs for depression, but nobody actually talks to him or tries to reach him. His love for me is borderline obsessive, to the point where I can't be with him anymore. Not only is it exhausting dealing with all this shit, but I don't want to be the reason he potentially kills himself. Anyway, I hope that gives enough of an idea. Please, I need advice. Maybe someone has an idea of what's going on with him, besides the fact that he's young, immature, and needs time to grow up. Is it possible there's a bigger problem here than I realize?
Honestly, I'm not even sure we can call that untrue... 🤣

Like, how much does it actually matter to you—how much weight do you put on the kind of footprint you're leaving behind in this physical, material present we're all navigating right now?
Personally, my thoughts are usually drifting toward the world waiting for me on the other side—that spiritual realm in New Jerusalem.
Leaving a mark on this material plane isn't really the point. This life feels like just one tiny drop in an endless ocean called eternity.
Power is essentially just this principle of evil established by Satan, or the King of the world, and it stands in direct opposition to the principle of love. I reject all power.
What are your thoughts on asceticism and living a more moderate life? Do you feel like these two values have just slipped through our fingers in today's world? In your opinion, what kind of fallout are we seeing because we aren't practicing them anymore? And on a practical level, what could we actually do as individuals to lean more into that sense of restraint and simplicity? It kind of brings up the whole idea of virtues, too—things like innocence, moderation, compassion, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility. I’m curious to hear what you all think about those qualities as well. Thanks.😉
