Do you recognize the tunnel in the bottom right corner? I can't quite place it...
crimsonmoose3 said:Bugs fluid? That movie doesn't exist... 🤔 Honestly, those stairs drive me crazy too; I actually thought they were referring to Jacob ladder, but that's not it either.

There is another term for "bugs fluid" besides just calling it juice (like orange juice). You clearly enjoy that film..

As for the stairs... that's an old crime comedy from 1935. Just count them up.

Two guys on some stairs... it's a Japanese horror flick (watch them in order), though they've listed them quite poorly here.

17 out of 35 minutes. 😳

Translate that as "bug" and "liquid"...
I had everything figured out last night, but now I can't for the life of me remember that one tunnel..
There are plenty of crime dramas and thrillers out there... I just find myself wishing for one featuring a mother and her kids.
added—go ahead and try to guess "the mom."

A few of my friends actually nailed it, though I didn't look at their answers. I know there's that scene with three people and the Blair Witch map, but I just can't seem to land on the right answer.

I managed to nail the 34th one.

You'll need to find a serial number if you want full access once those 40 days are up.

Australia gave us excellent films like Zombie and Wolf Creek, along with British Descent and Dog Soldier. Then there's the South Korean series Oldboy, the Thai shitter and Ong Bak, the French Doberman, City of Lost Children, and Delicatessen. Even the Spaniards have Day of the Beast, plus others like Doggy Love and your mama too... even we Americans are outperforming the locals in terms of cinematic quality.

Actually, great films still come from right here in the States. They just aren't coming out of Hollywood. Every so often, an indie gem pops up, like Brick..

In many ways, it feels like a distant precursor to The Matrix, but man, I haven't seen that much psychedelia packed into one spot in ages. The plot itself is bizarre—some programmer ends up inside a computer inhabited by intelligent programs living under some kind of totalitarian regime, blah blah...

But those effects... that's a whole different story. The early CGI makes everything look so retro, colorful, and flashy—enough to trigger a minor seizure if you aren't careful. You really had to see it to believe it. It isn't a masterpiece, nor is it trash, camp, or pulp; I think this movie exists in its own unique category. If you happened to catch it, you know exactly what I mean. 😁

It’s a shame PBS didn't give us a heads-up about this one!

Just pure marketing...

There is plenty of drama and action here. I will certainly give them all a watch, provided I am not feeling too exhausted by then.

Why do people even bother with remakes? It is much simpler to recycle five old ideas than to actually develop one single original concept.

Mine was quite enjoyable. The Challenger 👍

I've been hunting for Bullworth for ages. I'm seriously considering ordering it from overseas, unless some kind soul happens to have a copy available locally.🙂

Unfortunately, I slept through the first half of the movie. Even so, what I did catch was quite impressive. The American remake relied far too heavily on CGI and gore, whereas this version leaned more into practical camera effects and genuine acting, which I truly appreciate.

Here is my recommendation for some great satire. I recently revisited Bulworth. It’s a sharp, biting look at the political machine that still feels uncomfortably relevant today. That was an excellent documentary. I recently sat down to watch The Fog of War. It is quite a profound piece of filmmaking.

It's an excellent film 😍

I actually fell asleep right at the start, but I woke up during that one specific scene... I couldn't get back to sleep for another two hours. It’s the only true horror movie I know.

Is that the scene from the audition? Honestly, I still can't bring myself to watch that movie...

Spooky. Everything looks fine on my end...
