So, how much of this summer's releases have actually dropped so far?
I haven't even touched half of the stuff that came out, especially all that end-of-the-year clutter.
I’m digging Lali Puna, Soft Pink Truth, Jens Lekman, Walkmen, The Album Leaf, and Xiu Xiu.
Interpol still hasn't really clicked for me, for some reason...
I'm still just sitting here waiting for certain people to donate some new Les Savy Fav to the pile... though I wouldn't complain if we threw some Stereolab into the mix too.

I don't know... I think this thread would actually get interesting if someone could just walk me through some of the slang people are throwing around here...

Your lists are alright, but you’re jumping between genres way too fast... people are going to lose their minds if you don't smooth it out.
The trick is to build blocks of music and then slowly transition them using tracks that sit somewhere in the middle.

By the way, I posted a thread ages ago titled "Why American youth aren't politically engaged" (or something like that, I have a weird thing for the word youth 😁), and not a single one of you showed up... yet suddenly everyone wants to get involved now. 🙄
Back then, I also got labeled by two boring old guys as "extremely liberal" just because I try to encourage people to think with a liberal mindset—which apparently makes me act like an extreme conservative? If I'm a liberal, of course I'm going to promote liberal ideas.
Anyway, enough politics for one day...
Let's just hope our alternative culture manages to survive a bit longer here in America and in Washington, D.C....

That’s honestly why I liked the film so much; I found myself just watching which bands were playing in the shop and listening to all their rambling nonsense about music and stuff...
