Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in Movies ·
I finally sat down to watch it today, and thank goodness the opinions on this forum don't dictate my movie choices.😁

I went in expecting a Star Trek movie, and that is exactly what I got. I have no complaints about that.

Naturally, I was able to laugh off that ridiculous "evasive maneuver" Kirk epsilon.
28 Days Later in Movies ·
I finally sat down to watch it today... honestly, though... I read John Wyndham's work and a whole mountain of similar sci-fi disaster novels ages ago, so the film felt a bit tedious to me.

The only scene that actually gave me even a slight chill was when those rats were fleeing.

Hmm... folks... but I have to ask, has anyone here actually sat down and watched the previous nine installments?

😁
I haven't seen The Godfather yet.

I intend to watch it eventually, primarily because I am growing tired of people's incessant reactions to my initial statement. 🙄
JasonX in Movies ·
I watched it, just like every other horror flick on Netflix, and I have to say, it didn't disappoint. In fact, it actually exceeded my expectations, especially considering it’s just some random sequel in a franchise I can barely even keep track of. 😁

And then I get all the grief from people when I point out that most of the witches out there are just stay-at-home moms. 😁

Jack Harris3 said:How can you possibly say that isn't the case? Baffy isn't exactly letting me just drift aimlessly through the void; instead, they seem hell-bent on installing an engine or, at the very least, forcing some oars upon me! (Though, if you ask me, they’re probably only intended for shearing—I haven't the slightest clue what else they'd expect me to use them for.) 😱

Good grief... I am honestly relieved you didn't decide to say that to my face after a few beers. If you had, we would have been in serious trouble. Those few sentences of yours are nothing short of a treasure trove—a veritable goldmine of hidden, subversive messages reminiscent of the most radical political propaganda. 😁

Jack Harris3 said:With Baffy’s relentless military discipline, I likely come across as nothing more than a fool—utterly trivial and lacking any shred of seriousness. 😁

I believe I ought to be more circumspect regarding my future correspondence. It seems I have already cultivated a reputation as some sort of neo-Nazi, satanic, black-clad, child-eating, blood-stained new agitator. Is that really how I am perceived? 😈
And here I am, just another sheep following the herd.

Jack Harris3 said:Some individuals require a rigid foundation to function—be it through religion, strict discipline, or meticulously crafted goals and plans. They need that structure to feel secure. Others, however, lack such anchors entirely, choosing instead to simply drift and adapt to whatever life throws their way. As Plutarch once observed, there is a fundamental divide between those who seek stability and those who embrace the flow.

Let’s be perfectly clear about this... if we are discussing goals and strategic plans, those are nothing more than loose frameworks within which I operate. They are not set in stone. Everything can be overhauled by tomorrow morning, and I will adapt instantly. That, quite simply, is the bedrock of an efficient life philosophy. To resist change is to invite nothing but stagnation and eventual death.
I find myself entirely unable to predict what this coming day might hold for me.

Drifters don't even possess a fundamental sense of purpose; they simply drift through existence. They lack direction, merely reacting to whatever passing whim or temporary trend happens to blow their way. They adapt to every fleeting distraction that crosses their path, moving aimlessly from one moment to the next. However, let me be clear: if I were to sit down and truly get to know you, I am certain I would be able to convince you that you are anything but a drifter. 😁

Jack Harris3 said:Listen here, Baffy, what exactly would your plan be if you suddenly found yourself tumbling out of that meticulously planned and perfectly equipped boat of yours only to begin sinking? What then? Would you simply attempt to cling to the first floating debris you happened to encounter? Perhaps you might try to grab onto a life raft—and don't go assuming they are as useless as you seem to believe they are. 😁🙂

Well, if we are looking at this from a broader perspective, they aren't entirely without merit.
If I found myself adrift, my strategy would be quite methodical. I would swim until I reached a buoy, cling to it to catch my breath and regain my strength, and then proceed to the next buoy. I would continue this repetitive, disciplined process, moving from one point to the next, until I finally reached my ultimate destination. 🙂

Mr. Peach said:Hmm... I think you missed my point entirely. Let us move on. 😁

I am moving forward while you are just drifting aimlessly. 😁

Mr. Peach said:...but the beauty of it all is that one can change their mind three times before reaching the city and end up eating pastries without ever even seeing a cup of coffee. 😁

Good grief... such feminine fickleness.

Mr. Peach said:You simply cannot grasp this; you wouldn't even realize if you actually wanted the pastries, because the objective was the coffee, and there is no room for deviation. 🙂

If I want coffee, I go to get coffee. It is that simple. You didn't actually want coffee, because you changed your mind so rapidly, which merely proves you have no idea what you want. The distinction lies here: I know precisely what I desire, whereas you are merely wondering if you might feel like having coffee, and thus you ponder which of us is truly free...🙂

Mr. Peach said:P.S. You failed to explain what spirituality is and who, or what, determines the degree of spiritual development. 😁

And how is that possible? How could I not have explained it?
I stated quite clearly that attempting to explain such things to a drifter is a futile exercise.

Jack Harris3 said:And should it?
Work didn't create man, after all...

No, no... we are brought into this world by birth.

Jack Harris3 said:What’s wrong with floating? Floating is bliss. 😁
But it doesn't move you forward...

I never suggested there was anything lacking, but how does one explain the necessity of an oar or a gasoline engine to someone who is content just drifting?

Jack Harris3 said:Do you actually know where you want to go? Have you been there before to know what awaits you and whether you'll even enjoy it?
Baffy, you're just chasing the illusion of purpose... 😁🙂

It is pure curiosity that drives me.
For a man stripped of his goals and his illusions, nothing remains but the void.

Jack Harris3 said:If I ever happen to achieve it—and that is a significant "if"—it will simply be a byproduct of living my life. I have absolutely no interest in some frantic, desperate pursuit of enlightenment. Why would anyone spend their existence chasing a shadow? If it happens, it happens, but I refuse to make a spectacle of myself by hunting it down. 😁

Alright, alright... I’ve finally come to the realization that you aren't doing a single thing. 😁

Jack Harris3 said:But tell me this: what even qualifies as "spirituality" in the first place? Who exactly is tasked with determining someone else's spiritual development? By what criteria are we supposed to measure such an abstract concept? And more importantly, who possesses the authority to accurately judge their own spiritual progress, let alone attempt to assess that of another person?

How am I even supposed to explain this to you when your entire worldview is built around an idol who acts like a literal buoy—just drifting wherever the current takes them, completely incapable of steering toward a destination or actually doing anything to reach a goal?

Jack Harris3 said:Are we talking about those who join this forum claiming they are actively engaged in spiritual self-improvement, or what?😁

Rest assured, they certainly aren't the ones claiming to do absolutely nothing.

I find myself staring at this in sheer bewilderment... truly, I am at a loss... I keep trying to wrap my head around how any of this actually connects to spirituality, but the more I look, the less sense it makes. I remain utterly confounded.

I am a seeker of Zen... the only thing I truly know is exactly what I do not want.😉

#WildCard said:As if it were that simple! 😁

One should simply marry an unattractive, asexual, and quiet woman just so you can both effectively neutralize one another. 😛 😁 😁 😁

Ihhh....I would much rather remain alone. 😛

What kind of Devil would want a neutralized relationship?
Frida Kahlo in Movies ·
I finally sat down to watch this movie so I could give you my thoughts.

Now, I don't know much about Frida, but let’s be honest: this film was an absolute snooze fest—nothing more than a glorified soap opera. There were really only two moments that managed to grab my attention: those scenes with the skeletons in the hospital, and that part in the bar where the old woman is singing at her table.

While watching, I happened to see some of her paintings, which only served to reinforce my impression of how shallow and tedious this entire production was. Someone capable of creating art like that undoubtedly possesses a profound, dark, and deeply complex inner world—one that this film completely failed to capture.

Based strictly on what this movie presents, Frida comes across as nothing more than a neurotic housewife prone to occasional outbursts.

Look... I usually just skip over terminology entirely and mentally translate everything into terms that actually make sense to me 😉.

hollowviper72 said:If you have any truly specific questions... go ahead.

I've read through it and I don't have any questions. Honestly, if the system works for you the way you intend, then both praise and criticism become entirely redundant, wouldn't you agree?

I know enough to get by. I can hold my own.

Is there any actual literature on this online?

hollowviper72 said:In some ancient tongue—I can't recall the exact name, ah...—Tier Rath translates to "Pillars of gradac".

Any terminology involving the Pillars carries an intensely mystical weight, does it not? 😁

How? Exactly how?

wiredbear2 said:Could you perhaps describe a specific instance where the wicked has attempted to manipulate you?
The constant presence of television and suggestive imagery just doesn't feel like a sufficient reason for such profound distraction.

Hmm... but that is precisely what I have been arguing all along. It shouldn't be difficult to observe how the mindless noise of TV and the sight of scantily clad women can fracture a man's focus.

Consider this... right before my very eyes, the Devil himself managed to shut down three local shops when I desperately needed supplies for some magical work. One was on vacation, the second shifted its operating hours, and in the third, there was a fatal accident.

Uh, uh......😈

wiredbear2 said:Anyone who works is going to get tired eventually. Perhaps you should try getting some decent sleep and drinking water instead of beer.😎

Ihhh... I certainly don't drink that much... honestly... I've had maybe seven or eight beers in the last fourteen days... it's practically negligible. And as a rule, I don't consume alcohol on weekdays because of my profession.

Look, Baphi, we are dealing with actual witches here! 🙂

Well... she’s lucky. If I were my own biggest obstacle, there wouldn't even be much of a problem to begin with.

Quote : Solaris said:1. Mini-skirts: either use a blindfold, or maybe one of those horse blinkers?
Or simply limit all communication to women who aren't wearing mini-skirts.

Alright, fine, I’ve already tried that. Since I'm a bit nearsighted, I end up taking off my glasses only to have to put on sunglasses instead. But the real issue arises once night falls, especially when we head out to places where the concentration is so high that escaping them becomes nearly impossible.

After an encounter like that, I'm practically incapacitated for any kind of magical work for a day or two.

This might sting a little, but it's strictly for therapeutic purposes—for your own good:
"You're just a standard-issue fluffy warlock who's merely pretending to be dark and wicked." 😛

Ihhh....that doesn't even compare to the things I tell myself. 😁
Me, dark and wicked? Please. I am a gentle lamb—mild, quiet, and perpetually terrified. I can say whatever I want here because nobody can physically lay a hand on me.😁
