Look, Sean Penn is one of my absolute favorites (among others, obviously). So please, stop talking nonsense.🙂
Walter Garcia6 said:... the most disgusting, spoiled, and brainless group of people in our entire society...
Look, you’ve always got a choice in the matter. If you hate them that much, why on earth are you even showing up? Go see a local GP, or head to a clinic in some small town—I don't know, just go somewhere else. Nobody is forcing you to walk through those specific doctor's doors.
Ugh, just total idiots. Completely primitive.🙂

Hell no, he's the king. I mean, just look at his handle. It says everything you need to know.😁
restlesshound77 said:Look, I’m not talking about sedatives here.
I cycled through at least six different kinds of those antidepressants over an eight-month stretch.
Zyprexa, Normabagel, Lithium... there were others too, but honestly, my brain is mush and I can't recall the names.
They were heavy-duty stuff—it felt brutal. I dropped down to 115 pounds, couldn't sleep for anything, couldn't eat a thing, just pure depression, zero focus, total mental chaos...
Well, Zyprexa is actually a neuroleptic, Normabagel is basically Valium—so a sedative—and Lithium is a mood stabilizer. That last one is usually reserved for severe, endogenous depression as a preventative measure, and it’s used for other things too, which isn't really what we're discussing here.
Matthew Morris28 said:So you're wiped out, you hit the sack, but then you just lie there staring at the ceiling for two hours.
Then the morning rolls around and you're still exhausted, snapping at everyone at work. You're basically fighting twice as many battles as you should be every single day.
It's just constant irritation and living on edge.
Where do you draw the line? When do you decide to just chill out and take something like Persen or whatever?
When do you give in and try to settle things down with some chemistry—you know, when your brain gets stuck in this mental whirlpool it just can't spin its way out of?
Look, real rest is the only thing that actually works, not some sedative. Sure, Persen is herbal and feels like it has an antidepressant vibe, but honestly? You need sleep, not an antidepressant.

Man, you really need to learn how to read.🙂

Comparing 😂 Star Wars to a movie like this... I honestly don't even have the words.😢
Personally, I thought the movie was beautiful. It actually makes you stop and think about things while you're watching... and that soundtrack 😍 shinsi😍
It’s not just some run-of-the-mill flick, and that's what matters. I've seen so many movies that I forget the second the credits roll... but this one? It actually stuck with me.
Honestly, you're being as clueless as the person above you. If you really think this crap is "beautiful" and "impactful," good grief... you're basically a houseplant.🙄
And as for who's comparing Star Wars to this garbage? People like you.
IggXy said:So, I was digging through some old threads on here when I stumbled onto this depression forum...
By which I mean this one http://www.depresija.org/forum/index.php?act=idx
I honestly can't wrap my head around how some people aren't even functioning as actual humans. Like, if you want to have a role in society, you gotta have some kind of interest, right? Even if it's just stocking shelves at a Walmart. But these people? They just sit around the house, popping antidepressants like candy, whining about being sad... some girl is posting about having zero will to live, another is talking about suicide... and we aren't talking about teenagers here, these are grown adults in their 20s and 30s!
And here I was thinking *I* was lazy... meanwhile these folks are basically dying inside and too terrified to even step outside...
It’s unbelievable... someone writes in saying they've been on medical leave for three months because of depression!!! Honestly, people like that need a reality check—they should be working themselves to death instead of jumping off buildings...
I used to feel bad for depressed people... but once I actually looked into it... it's just "human garbage"🙂
Hey, man, don't go there. There are people who deal with real depression and they genuinely can't function. And then you've got people who don't have "classic" depression, but rather personality disorders where the depression isn't even the main issue. But they still have other problems that make them incapable of working. Look, you can't just expect them to get up and go to work; it's like telling someone with food poisoning, "Yeah, you feel like crap, but get over it and go to work." Environment matters too—most of these people live alone, or if they were in a relationship, the whole thing falls apart because of the illness. It's not as simple as it looks on the surface.
Sure, there are people who fake it for attention, but you can usually tell pretty quickly that something else is going on with them.
So, I finally popped this one into my DVD player about a week ago. Honestly? It’s a total disaster. Just... awful. Boring as hell, the acting is painful to watch, the dialogue is straight-up nonsensical—basically, everything about it is just garbage. It’s your typical, mindless flick about some clueless American kids who have absolutely no idea what they're doing with their lives. 🙄 👎 👎 👎
The only thing that didn't make me want to throw the remote at the wall was the soundtrack, I guess.
And then there's Natalie Portman. Seriously, she went from being in Star Wars to wasting her talent on this absolute trash.🙄
briskwolf12 said:I’m looking for the medical side of this, preferably explained in the most complicated way possible:
how and why does someone using heroin end up with blood in their urine?
And what are the long-term effects on the brain? I'm talking about memory, lucidity, all that stuff. Not just while you're high, but what happens to people who have been off it for a long time. Is there a lasting impact on their mental abilities? Like, how much does heroin actually physically damage brain cells? Are there permanent consequences for the brain in that sense? What about motor skills?
All I find in this sea of anti-drug propaganda is nothing but slogans and empty talk.
Thanks in advance.
Any trace of blood in urine is pathological—it’s got nothing to do with heroin itself.
As for how heroin hits you if you're a chronic user? It wrecks the neurons in your frontal cortex, hippocampus, and so on. Long story short: you end up a total vegetable. Ever seen a long-term alcoholic? That’s what you're looking at. If you want that life, be my guest.😁
Homeopathy... yeah, okay... Look, I’m not exactly a huge believer myself, but I think I see where shadowgardener12 is coming from, even if just in parts. In my neck of the woods—which, let's be honest, is a pretty high-functioning part of the US—you actually have primary care doctors who specialize in homeopathy. So yeah, there are actual MDs out there practicing it. But, man, bad timing... about two months ago, they passed this law that basically pulled the plug on insurance coverage for it. Now, if you want those homeopathic remedies, you're paying for them straight out of your own pocket. I don't think we need to go overboard with the drama, though. If a certain remedy actually works for you? Fine, go for it. Support what works. But then again, shadowgardener12 seems to put way too much faith in the whole thing. We really need to find some middle ground here. Like, if you've got full-blown pneumonia, a little homeopathic drop isn't going to do squat for you.😉
Personally, I'm all for having both options available. If someone wants to go that route, hey, more power to them.
banderas said:I’m gonna throw this question out there from a woman’s perspective: Why does that drug even still exist? Like, why are we still manufacturing it and writing prescriptions for it when we have Klavocin?
From what I remember, both of them are just standard products you'd find at a place like Pfizer. Amoxil is just amoxicillin (an aminopenicillin), whereas Klavocin is amoxicillin paired with clavulanic acid, which gives it a much broader spectrum of action.
hoja said:Doctors are actually telling women to ditch the thongs and go back to standard briefs if they want to stay healthy. This whole warning popped up because they're seeing way too many patients coming in with genital infections.
Gynecologists are claiming that thongs can irritate the sensitive skin in that area, especially if they’re too tight or made from cheap, nasty fabric. Apparently, the biggest culprit is the back part—the "string" section.
Thomas Gent, a member of a gynecological association in New York City who worked on the study, explained how those little irritations can help bacteria spread and lead to fungal infections.
And get this—every second woman under the age of 50 wears them daily.
Look, I wear thongs every single day and honestly, I can't imagine my life without them. Thank God they exist. And I bet most guys feel the exact same way. 😁 I have zero clue how thongs could actually be bad for your health, especially that "string" part you mentioned—that isn't even located near the vagina. The only thing that makes any sense to me is that maybe some women wear tiny, suffocating thongs that dig in, but that's kind of on them—mine are perfectly comfortable and fit just right. If that's the issue, then wearing tight, digging-in regular panties would cause the exact same problem anyway.

And now I'm stuck traveling for the funeral 🙂
this is just too much.......
Oh, damn it, why do such tiny little beings have to die? 😢 😢 😢 And sepsis, for God's sake. 😢
P.S. It wasn't actually a surgeon's error, so don't go judging anyone based on half-baked info and ignorance—nimbleskipper13 laid out everything perfectly well enough.
Anthony Wood54 said:And once again... I just don't think doctors can actually help. It's all in my head, honestly. Just me against myself...

You're probably right. You likely have an F60.31 diagnosis or whatever, and let's be real—nobody here is going to fix you. Not even you, most likely.

Yeah, right... and what exactly is this guy using to "cure" psoriasis, vitiligo, or those "brown spots"?🤣 I'm dying to know. 😁
So, how did he "cure" you? 😁 And what was it that he supposedly fixed in the first place?
P.S. Isn't posting ads against the rules? (Or maybe you're just getting a kickback? 😁)
Megan Peterson87 said:I’ve been on these antibiotics for a week now and my head is absolutely pounding... it's driving me insane... I usually can't stand them anyway... honestly, I just want to quit right now... what do you guys think? What kind of side effects are you dealing with? Is it even worth taking them if you end up feeling even worse afterward?
Good grief, Jesus.🙄 Is someone actually paying you to post such incredibly mindless questions? Especially this last one, which I "loved."

I just curl up in the corner of the tub like some kind of weirdo and let the steam melt the stress right out of me. It’s exhausting, honestly, but in a good way. So, anyway:
Is taking hot showers actually healthy?
Look, I’m a fan of the hot shower life too. 🙂 Why wouldn't it be "healthy"? Or maybe I should rephrase—what's the actual downside to using hot water? (As long as we're talking normal temperatures, obviously, not enough to give yourself second-degree burns or anything crazy.)

mistybear4, they could go see twenty people if they wanted. How the hell are you supposed to know which one of them actually knows what they're talking about?
