Best Movie Soundtracks? in Movies ·
soylent said:I just wish you were around when my phone rings with my own composition playing! 😁 )

I’m definitely no expert here... I can't really say which ones are the absolute "best," but one of the most fitting soundtracks I’ve ever heard was for "Hideaway."

Ugh, I’m trying so hard to find this one song but I don't even know the title. It's from the "Hideaway" soundtrack—you know, that part where his daughter gets mad at him, storms down the stairs to her room, and blasts that specific track? That's the one I'm hunting for. If anyone knows the name of the song, please help me out! I desperately need it!!!
Hey everyone!
Here’s the situation:
I was hanging out with some friends at band practice and got blasted by some seriously loud music.
Now, I’ve been dealing with this constant ringing in my ears for three weeks straight, even though my buddies are totally fine.
What do you guys think I should do?

My private messages aren't showing up. It shows the correct count, and even tells me I have a new one, but there’s nothing actually there.

Can an admin please look into this? If there's any unread message stuck in the system, could you grab it from the database and just shoot it over to my email instead!

Trying to dodge a blade or pull off a perfect block is incredibly tough. Honestly, while the guy is still threatening you, your best bet might be to grab the arm holding the knife, hammer him with a few heavy strikes, and then just wrench the weapon away from him (better safe than sorry).

👍 👍
That said, your absolute best move is to just get the hell out of there, hit them in the head with something hard, and finish the job once you've created some distance.

You can't exactly snatch a knife away if someone has a solid grip on it. When you're defending against a blade, there is no such thing as "letting up."
Defending against a knife is incredibly difficult, especially if the attacker actually knows what they're doing with it.
1. If someone comes at you with a knife, run as far away as possible and grab whatever hard object is nearby to strike them with.
2. Create distance by pushing them away or landing a solid punch to the head.
3. If you're cornered and can't escape, your last resort is trying to establish blocks or leverage—but those are strictly your absolute last options.

Our coach brought a knife to training to demonstrate what a knife attack and defense actually looks like.
He held the knife and told my training partner to try and run.
The coach simulated an attack, and my buddy was scrambling all over the mats just trying to get away; he didn't stand a chance at using blocks or leverage because, in a real situation, he would've been cut or stabbed long before he could react.

Oh, really? Look, the Bible is fine and all, but it just doesn't hold a candle to the Gita when you compare them. ☕ 😬

Does the Bible actually say that? 😁

Yeah, people were definitely talking. Haha. But honestly, sound quality is always a hit or miss. I can't even remember the last time anyone was actually satisfied with the audio at a concert. It’s just like a band's name—everyone has an opinion on it. And get this! Some people don't even like the music we play! Haha. At the end of the day, you just have to keep grinding and getting better. Voila! Cheers.

So, first impressions of my doctor. I switched over to his practice less than a month ago, and I finally had an appointment with him the other day. At first glance, he comes off a bit cold—almost blunt. (I think someone else mentioned earlier that he’s a bit of a hardass.)😈 ...but he's actually a huge joker. And hey, the guy's from a small town in the Midwest—of course he is.😬 (Mainly because my grandma was Canadian—blood is thicker than water.) The clinic was spotless, and the exam was as comfortable as a gynecological checkup can actually be. My Pap results should be ready in about a month, and I’m waiting on the microbiology ones (usually takes about two weeks). Typically, you have to wait around two weeks for a routine appointment, but if it’s an emergency, they can squeeze you in right away. Also, the nurse is awesome. Seriously, she’s great. Go for it!
Well, if they're looking for it, let them have it!

I’m not from Canada, so whenever I hear the word "butcher," all I can picture is some guy wielding a meat cleaver. Thanks, but no thanks.
I got my tax refund results and my social security benefits within a week. It's pretty obvious that things are finally wrapped up with that. 😢

I thought it was a great time. A few more gigs on the calendar would really take things to the next level, though. Then again, I was actually playing on stage, so I might be a little biased. I’ll have to have a chat with Joe about the upright bass, haha.

Big thanks to everyone who made it out to the concert yesterday, and a huge shoutout to those who wanted to be there but couldn't make it happen. You guys are the best.
