Believe me, it’s totally worth sitting through a ten-minute track or longer... just stick to Pink Floyd. They have plenty of songs running six or seven minutes that are absolute masterpieces in my book. You really have to learn how to just get lost in the music itself, not just obsess over the lyrics. Sure, you can deliver a message or a verse in two minutes, but then you lose the whole vibe. That said, the Ramones are legends, and they deserve nothing but respect.
I’m buying both, honestly. I totally agree that Hollywood has gone downhill—especially when you look at how they used to write actor profiles versus how they do it now. It feels like any average journalist can churn out a piece these days, regardless of whether they actually know a thing about cinema or if they're just scraping info together. On the other hand, Paramount Pictures has incredible imagery; visually, it puts Hollywood to shame, though visual flair was never really Hollywood's strongest suit anyway. That said, my heart stays with the good old days of Hollywood, back when the real experts were still calling the shots. 👍
Justin Taylor said:Getting wild during rehearsals??? Who are we even talking about here? I mean, I know Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich used to mess around together... they definitely did that back in the day... but I honestly think they’ve outgrown all that nonsense 😁 Are you thinking of someone else specifically??
You know how people say "liars are thieves"? Well, I highly doubt Lars and Kirk stopped at just messing around. 😁
Yoga is fine, I guess. But at the end of the day, it’s a personal choice. We could definitely incorporate Yoga into PE classes at school, but if teachers are just going to do whatever they feel like regardless of the curriculum, why should taxpayers foot the bill? I personally get into long-distance running, yet nobody ever picks up the tab for my gear.
It’s pretty weird how you’re trashing My Dying Breed while claiming Ashes You Leave is actually a decent band... especially since MDB is basically the blueprint for AYL. The only difference is AYL has a female vocalist, which makes them sound way more soft.
I guess you're just arguing with yourself at this point.
Honestly, I feel like you can wrap everything up and say what needs to be said in about three minutes. Once a song drags on past that, it just starts getting tedious—unless you're lucky enough to get stuck with nothing but an instrumental stretch, 😉
I just got back from the Sundance Film Festival, and honestly? "Okay" doesn't even begin to cover it... it was absolutely incredible! I’ve got a few gripes, but everyone has already pointed them out, so there's no point in me rehashing them... my only real headache was the transportation situation; I really wasn't feeling the vibe of those cramped little shuttle buses. But yeah, that's about it. I'll definitely be seeing Sonoma again next year!
Ryan Ruiz said:I’ve been reading through some Heavy Metal lyrics lately, and honestly, they aren't really my thing. All that stuff about killing, violating souls, and other mindless nonsense... it's just too much. Even if I happen to dig a specific song from the genre, I truly don't care what the lyrics are actually about. For me, it's all about the sound—if the music hits, I'm happy.
You should check out the lyrics from Immortal, Emperor, or even the old Satyricon stuff... they're definitely morbid (though that doesn't really bother me 😁), but more in that beautiful, dark, cold kind of way...
By the way, does anyone happen to have the lyrics for Summoning? Pretty please... pretty pleeeease! 😁
Just so everyone is aware: When it comes to expert medical testimony involving pulmonologists in asbestos-related compensation cases, we’re seeing a troubling trend. At least in local courts like those in Phoenix, experts are claiming it's possible to have asbestosis without actual lung damage or impaired lung function. This effectively strips plaintiffs—who are genuinely suffering—of their right to damages. Essentially, they're arguing that even if a doctor can indisputably diagnose someone with asbestosis, the fibers haven't caused physical harm or affected respiratory performance. IF THAT IS AN EXPERT'S ACTUAL "OPINION," then what on earth are we supposed to be treating?
