Look, just because there’s a date listed on the announcement doesn't mean the feature is magically coming back on that specific day. That’s just when the notice itself expires, which can be extended if things take longer, or changed whenever they feel like it, so honestly, that date has absolutely nothing to do with when the search function actually gets restored.
And I really don't know what someone was thinking when they claimed the moderators are just copy-pasting the same thing all over this Reddit, because seriously, that makes zero sense. The announcement clearly states the feature is disabled TEMPORARILY and will be back soon enough.
So yeah, it’s coming back, so please stop trolling with posts saying it’s gone for good and quit spreading misinformation. The feature is down for a good reason, and whatever that reason is, the admin team isn't obligated to spell it out for you. Once the issue is sorted, it'll be back, and you'll be notified. End of story.

The moderator already gave you a heads-up to stop flooding us with new topics and to try actually engaging people in the discussions you started in the first place. The thing is, nobody’s even talking in your threads, there's zero engagement, so if we let you just pop open one topic after another without any actual conversation happening, it’s basically just straight-up spam, and we're gonna have to delete it as such.
I’m not bringing Temu back because the last few pages were just a complete mess of rule-breaking posts. I get that off-topic stuff is its own specific thing and the moderation tends to be a bit more laid back there, but I am absolutely not going to let you guys hijack a thread like that again. It's just not happening. I’m just speaking in broad strokes here regarding all that whining about the state of those PDF files. Honestly, though, the same logic applies to pretty much everything else on this board. If someone is going to sit there and complain about something, they really ought to back it up with actual links or some kind of proof, because I guess just throwing out vague, general grievances isn't really going to fly around here.
