It’s perfectly fine to discuss the contents of private messages if they involve moderation discussions... just those specific exchanges. It’s no different from posting a notification about a ban, which is also a private message that often includes context from moderators—nobody gets penalized for that. After all, that's how user inquiries get resolved. However, if an explanation has already been provided in your DMs, you won't receive the same answer twice here. We generally don't repeat ourselves in public threads either...
Jose Brown57 said:So, she actually made it all the way to retirement with that kind of knowledge base... 😁 Anyway, things are looking up—can I grab a coffee? Just black, no frills. Honestly, I think that’s the move. p.s. We usually pick up those fancy professional packets at the pharmacy—you know, that powdered stuff you just stir into water or tea and drink—but we decided to skip that route this time around.
For most people, that's actually the perfect morning laxative. 😁
I'll admit, I acted a bit too hastily there. It felt a little trivial—like the whole thread was just being used to pass the time. It stretched on for over ten pages, mostly filled with suggestions that didn't really fit your needs anyway. I can restore it, if you still find it useful...
Everyone is entitled to delete their own posts within the allotted timeframe. That includes this particular user.
For technical reasons, no one can have fewer permissions than a moderator. They need the ability to review deleted content, check reports, and ultimately issue warnings or bans. Generally speaking, if people realize there are no consequences following a warning, they tend to ignore them. Often, they ignore them even when they know there will be...
Personal attacks aren't allowed here. Just because someone insulted you elsewhere doesn't justify hitting back on this platform. And an "I'm sorry, but..." doesn't make it any better.
If the moderators are unavailable, they will coordinate with the site's super-moderators and the lead administrator to handle things.
mistyseal11, sorry for the long wait. I just realized this was one of the threads I had hidden... I'll get back to you in a few hours once I'm back online.
A moderator will reach out to you shortly. Please bear with us... It’s summer, so people aren't hanging out on the forum quite as much as they usually do during the year.
Jerry White29 said:😁 😁 ...well, I think you missed my point entirely... Take a look at what’s written in that box... if you know which one I mean... now, read what he actually said... do you see it?... If that doesn't work, let's give this another shot... ... Have you finally realized... Not quite right... Grandpa... 😁
You can't really communicate like this using this PDF...

The Administrator usually steps in if they feel a moderator or supermoderator made an error. Regardless, your appeal belongs in the existing thread dedicated to card appeals, rather than starting a new topic. It can be addressed there if necessary...
Please don't try to lecture me on my role here based on whatever fantasies you've cooked up... they have absolutely nothing to do with reality. I am well aware of my responsibilities and my authority on this platform. If you actually have something relevant to say regarding the subject of this complaint, go ahead... otherwise, feel free to start your own thread for everything else.
Fair enough, but I honestly don't care about the status of an Adobe Acrobat file if I'm not the moderator or supermoderator in charge... That's on whoever is responsible for it to handle.
I honestly don't understand why you can't see that if your posts are being deleted or you're getting flagged, you're clearly doing something wrong. It has nothing to do with anyone having special connections, as you seem to think... moderation on this Reddit thread isn't related to how other sites handle things at all. And yet, you keep making the same point for the third time. But sure, let's just stick to your theory about favoritism. If I were to issue another warning now because you're complaining about deleted posts in a space where that doesn't belong, you'd just claim someone is being protected again...
Anyone looking to appeal a ban or a strike should head over to the designated thread to do so. There’s no need to comment on other users' penalties here. We don't allow that kind of discussion in this section...
I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread until the supermoderators can step in. My apologies to those who were actually looking for a constructive conversation...
We aren't going to give you a platform here to wage those crusades you said you were planning...
frozenranger52 said:I agree with the complaints regarding Coca-Cola's mediocre moderation on terrorism threads. His comments comparing types of terrorism are being wiped out. Even sarcastic remarks that actually dissect public hypocrisy are getting people banned and posts deleted...
Please provide links in the future. If a post was removed, link to the page where it used to be. Also, take a look at the rules in this PDF regarding how to file an appeal...
Morgan Rodriguez57 said:Personally, because of this behavior, I’ve asked both lonebadger6 and Pizzaria for partial bans on Newsweek. It's much easier to breathe when you know you won't get a strike after every single post...☕
briskbison55 said:It isn't just this forum; the situation is the same on forums and in the media all over the US. In places like Chicago, they wipe posts if someone just mentions that four attacks occurred in seven days—it's just facts, yet they still can't handle it...
You cannot participate in appeal threads concerning PDFs where you have a partial ban...
Linda King said:Regarding that post of yours that got flagged and then deleted... 🤣
Sanctions don't apply to you personally. Everyone has the right to speak up for themselves, and it's a choice whether they do or not. Your only real grievance here is the warning you received on that thread before deciding to come over here and start a discussion about how someone else's post was moderated.
The moderators will weigh in soon, so please bear with us. I won't close this thread until then, but let's not turn this into a space for heavy insults—we've already seen that happen once (and the post was removed). That goes for making claims without providing links to specific examples, posting provocations, being unconstructive, or anything else that violates our general forum rules and this subforum's guidelines. Otherwise, you'll be locked out.
