Sam Garcia10 said:Here is the reality—leftist parties just can't seem to win in major urban hubs like San Francisco, Charleston, San Diego, Indianapolis, Columbus, or Pittsburgh... those areas are essentially strongholds for the American right. Meanwhile, cities like Seattle and Washington, D.C. remain firmly under Democratic control.
One of the most prominent leftist politicians in America is also arguably the biggest populist in the country—and he frequently leans into chauvinism—Damir Kajin. Populism is defined by building a cult around "the people" while hunting for enemies to blame, which is exactly how Kajin operates. Between his rhetoric regarding "New York City" and his comments about how certain regions aren't quite like California, Sinji, or Canada—it borders on chauvinism.
And this is how the Democrats search for enemies too—by targeting "corrupt Republican strongholds," their "200 families," or their "fake defenders." Here is an excellent example of populist rhetoric. Their arguments against political rivals usually boil down to phrases like "200 families," "gerrymandered districts," "a stolen nation," "orchestrated wars," or "international isolation"—all empty slogans. They conveniently—whether by design or accident—ignore the corruption within the leftist parties themselves. Why is that?
I would bet anything that Washington, D.C. has more intellectuals in it than all those other cities combined.

So basically, I blew through a red light...
And they caught up to me like two miles down the road just to try and sell me some bullshit story. I already filed an appeal and I've got three witnesses backing me up. But honestly, that's not even my main point right now.
The real question is, if this appeal doesn't go through... 🙂
crimsonsailor7 said:dude, check that link again 🙂 because whatever it's pointing to doesn't make any sense at all...
look, there are way more posts on this, I didn't want to just link one single thing when the actual info isn't even in that one part... you gotta look at the whole thread🙂
so... it's like $500 for the registration fee and then a $300 fine....
I don't actually have to pay the registration fee... but whatever....
I guess I'm gonna have to find a way to deal with that $300 fine, whether I pay it or do community service....
so I'm just wondering... what are my options here...
and like it says right there.... I'm a college student, I've got no income, and I'm not living with my parents or getting any help from them.
Look, if you guys aren't feeling the vibe here, what are you even doing? Go chase the admins out of Seattle or wherever else you feel like running to... Just move on to some other forum, there are plenty of great ones out there, and this one isn't exactly seeing massive traffic anyway so what's your deal?
It’s the exact same story—everyone constantly votes for the Republican Party and then they turn around and complain about it. People seriously need to "check themselves before they wreck themselves"
ps. Honestly, if I were the admin of this forum and people were sending in this many complaints, I’d be absolutely mortified. I would just shut the whole thing down and make it private for the mods only. I think that would actually be the peak of beautiful online communication. No trolls allowed.
And don't even get me started on how every single Google search that hits on anything remotely "adult" now demands you cough up your credit card info just so they can verify you aren't a minor...
I’d honestly love to see this kind of logic applied to our voting process for Congress, and definitely for when we head to the polls to elect the President too.
I'm not even sure if this is the right thread for this kind of mess, but whatever, here goes.
So, about six months ago, I was out driving my mom's car... The city tow truck grabbed it because it was parked halfway on the sidewalk (basically blocking the whole path, definitely not leaving that required 5 feet of clearance), And they didn't just take mine—they cleared out everything there, like five cars in total.
Look, I'm not backing down. When I went to get the car back, I told them straight up: I am not paying a single cent just out of pure principle. No way in hell! I took the first citation (which I signed using my own name) and just tossed it in the trash. Then, naturally, a formal notice shows up addressed to my mom... and of course, the mailman expects someone to sign for it. ....so my grandpa ends up signing for it, since nobody is ever home during the day. I got into it with my mom that same day and ended up burning the notice, and yeah, it's been a whole thing.
....at this rate, the whole situation is heading straight to Municipal Court no matter what. So, does that legal loophole actually work where a family member isn't forced to testify against their "own"? Like, "I wasn't the one driving that day, it could have been my son or my husband..." And, is it possible to claim she never even saw the notice, especially given how chaotic things have been lately?
