I am looking for a second opinion because my first neurosurgeon told me I need stabilization—specifically, screws at the Lumbar Spine level—and frankly, I am terrified.
I read somewhere that he only performs cervical spine surgeries. Or perhaps I just mixed up the details.
Yes, I was actually one of his patients, and several other specialists have recommended him to me.
He handles cervical issues, but he does much more than that; for instance, he performed lumbar surgery on my primary care physician.
The waitlist for an appointment can be quite long, but unlike some 🙄, he is very easy to talk to regarding recommendations and other matters—he is incredibly approachable. 🙂
If you are looking for excellent recommendations for the lumbar spine, Dr. Sajko at Johns Hopkins Hospital is also highly regarded.
Additionally, for a physiatrist, I would recommend Dr. Miran Jakšić at Holy Spirit.
