Have you watched Viking?
I have. Honestly, they irritate me. Ivar, in particular, gets on my nerves. I suppose I’ll finish it just so I don't leave things hanging, and in the vain hope that the next season might actually be better than this one.
Terry Reed13 said:I actually lost interest even before that, but I plan on finishing it. If you haven't seen this yet, I highly recommend it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4179452/ It’s been a long time since I watched the first two seasons, so there was a significant gap, but now that I see the third season is out, I intend to catch up over the next few days. It follows a similar mold to Vikings, though perhaps it holds even greater potential.
I have finished watching The Last Kingdom, and it is quite impressive. I truly appreciate how rapidly the plot moves, though certain characters certainly grate on my nerves—sometimes even Uhtred himself and the choices he makes. It would be even better if he were finally done with Alfred's daughter 😍 although I do feel a sense of sympathy for her and Ragnar.

It makes me wonder if that might play a role in whether he actually decides to make the trip to America. I hadn't listened to them before, but ever since I started—I simply can't stop. 🙂 Nash is an incredible guy—he’s got that genuine rock star charisma you just don't see much of anymore in America!
It feels like I’ve finally reached a realization, and honestly, it seems to be the truth given that they haven't shown up for all these years. They could easily pull a tour all the way to Austria, yet I highly doubt anyone ever even invited them to perform here, or perhaps they simply don't have a following in this part of the country. It truly saddens me. It is a shame that they are among those whose livelihood and passions have been compromised by political interference. Still, if that is indeed the case, it might be better if they don't come at all—better to stay true to their principles. Well, it looks like I'll have to pull myself together and make a trip over to either Mexico or Canada. 🕺
Why on earth would Pobs need to moderate the chat? Why should anyone be forced to do that? Is it because we collectively lack any semblance of self-control and spend our time constantly bickering, providing endless material for deletion? No, we aren't going to simply calm down. Instead, they should just assign us a moderator to keep us in line so they don't have to shut the whole chat down.
Personally, I am all for the chat, but if we could all just temper our passions a little, everything would be much simpler.
There is actually a discussion thread over on the Various PDF under "How to Clean Eyeglasses (Prescription)," if I recall the title correctly. It might not seem obvious at first glance, but Pobs informed us about it once before. So, feel free to continue the conversation there. If you have the guts. And I know you do. 😁

I dream of being able to turn from side to side or shift in my office chair without having to carefully calculate every single movement just to avoid a sudden jolt of pain. 🙂 My little one is 4 years old now, and since the moment I gave birth, there hasn't been a single day where my back hasn't been absolutely killing me. It actually started in the hospital; I genuinely thought something had gone wrong during delivery and messed up my spine, but they just brushed it off and offered me some painkillers. My doctor just shrugs her shoulders and says, "I don't know, but I know a great chiropractor." Of course, everything would be so much easier if I weren't practically on my own with the kid and without a car during maternity leave—constantly straining myself walking up and down hills and stairs all day long. If I could somehow lose a few pounds, start exercising more seriously and frequently (I somehow manage to squeeze in two yoga sessions a week, which helps slightly, but not entirely), and if my job didn't exhaust me... sitting in one spot for 8 hours a day is brutal; it’s much better when I’m on vacation and moving around constantly. But then again, I can't exactly go find a different career given my profession... And so it goes... 😢
Two months after giving birth, I became completely stiff. I couldn't even straighten my back; I could walk, but only if I stayed bent at a VERY SPECIFIC ANGLE! I honestly don't know how I survived that day. By that evening, I went to see a friend's partner, who happens to be a professional chiropractor. I had never believed in that kind of thing until I got off his table feeling like a brand-new person. When dealing with back issues (in my case, it was a herniated disc), you absolutely must start with corrective exercises first; once you strengthen those back muscles later on, you can train however you like. 😉
ironbadger9 said:While childbirth brings immense joy to some, it certainly introduces a host of complications for others... I didn't want to open this thread in the Health subforum because that section is specifically reserved for issues caused by pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, and postpartum care—and there are quite a few of them... Back pain, hormonal imbalances, skin issues, breast changes, circulation problems, dental issues, vein problems... oh my... Specifically, I am reaching out because of one particular issue that has been tormenting me for about ten days now. JOINT PAIN. In the mornings, my finger joints ache, my wrists hurt, and once I actually get up, I can barely walk because my knees and feet are in such agony. The absolute worst part is that I struggle to hold my baby properly, and things keep slipping right out of my hands. I have been doing some research, and everything seems to point toward rheumatoid arthritis (which, honestly, I am terrified of because there is no cure), and I fully intend to get tested as soon as the holidays and my time off are over, but in the meantime, I just need to vent here. Have any of you dealt with similar issues, and can someone please reassure me that this is temporary? Is it possible that breastfeeding a six-month-old could deplete my calcium or magnesium stores?
The pain you are describing sounds exactly like what I went through just a year ago. For me, it lasted about two or three months. There were several mornings where I woke up unable to even straighten or spread my fingers; they would stay cramped for about ten minutes until I could move them around a bit. My knees were absolutely killing me—honestly, I felt like I was going to collapse at any moment while holding my child.
In my case, I think the culprit was staying indoors for so long; I was practically housebound for two months and barely saw any sunlight. I ended up being deficient in Vitamin D, and then my calcium levels started acting up too. I took supplements along with four drops a day and made sure to get outside in the sun as much as possible (even though it was a very gloomy winter). Please, go get your blood work done first; get a full panel. It might turn out to be nothing, or perhaps just a simple deficiency, and I truly hope it isn't rheumatoid. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.😉
It depends on the situation. I don't typically eat it with a spoon; instead, I just make a little well in the center and drink it directly, and if I have the time, I’ll even savor it by licking it. If I'm feeling particularly bored, I might even use my finger to clear the dish, almost as if I were washing the saucer itself. I suppose I just enjoy playing around with my food and being a bit experimental, honestly. 😁
I really should have been the one to start this thread about them. That’s what happens when I keep putting things off. 😳
I find myself listening to them constantly; I just love them. They are truly excellent across the board—from the vocals to the guitar work—but what resonates with me most is the beautiful songwriting found in every single track.
It is hard to pick a favorite, though "Secrets" is special, as are "Young, Beautiful and Smart," "I Hear You Breathing," "Grass," and "Better If I Had Never Kissed You." There are just too many gems to choose from.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will honor us with a tour somewhere here in the States... 😍
There is certainly some truth to your point, as I remember walking in with my backpack and didn't encounter a single security check or any suspicious glances. When you reach the entrance, simply inform them that you intend to bring your own bag because you are committed to reducing plastic waste, and that you'll be using it to carry your purchases. 🤷
You should try searching on Tinder or something similar. If you can't find them there, you might just have to accept that you didn't make the cut when it came to selecting photos. 😁 It's possible you looked so terrible in those shots that they decided it was better not to include them at all. 😁
gentlebear93 said:I realize this might sound like a ridiculous question, and perhaps I’m the only one who actually managed to mess things up with these sticks—but honestly, damn... I've had quite a few drinks tonight. Anyway, these are the ones I'm talking about. I am unable to process the content within that specific image link. Could you please provide a description of what is shown or upload the file directly? Once I have the details, I would be happy to write a post about it for you. I cut them all in half, and then we proceeded to "drench" them in that color—or whatever that substance was supposed to be. 🙏Ugh, I’ve already laundered this jacket twice, and those stains are still staring back at me. HELP! 🙏
Mickey? 😲
Shouldn't you just take it off? The color starts fading almost immediately after it's removed from its packaging. We actually had one burst on us by accident once, so I'm speaking from experience.

What bars are you talking about, and where? Around here in California, you won't find them anywhere. 🤷
