A Sci-Fi Horror Thriller co-produced by Canada, France, and the USA. Directed by and written by Director Vincenzo Natali, the guy behind hits like "Cube" back in '97, "Cypher" in 2002, and "Nothing" in 2003. Since those were pretty unique projects, you'd expect this one to follow suit—and the stills definitely hint at that. Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley lead the cast, joined by Delphine Chanéac, Abigail Chu, Brandon McGibbon, David Hewlett, Amanda Brugel, and Stephanie Baird. The budget sits at $26 million, and the film is set for a limited US release on September 18th this year.

My bad... but this whole thread feels kind of pointless. We’ve already spent way too much time debating remakes versus the originals on these boards...

At the end of the day, it's all subjective anyway. Some people dig the remake, others stick to the original...

Jacob Peterson28 said:Nobody's really replying to you; people are too busy whining about American cinema😁

Anyway, thanks for the reminder about Winterbottom. I kind of lost track of him after "9 Songs," but I still have those dark flicks like "Jude," "Butterfly Kiss," and even "I Want You" etched in my memory.

Any idea if this will actually hit theaters here?

And look... like I said in another thread... if it isn't Twilight or Avatar, people just don't care, haha...

Not sure if it'll play in our local theaters... with US distributors, you never know. They'll skip the big hits with famous actors just to screen some garbage nobody's ever heard of... so, yeah... we'll see.😁

Tyler White40 said:I'd love to see how much of a disaster this turns out to be. Jean Reno has really gone downhill since he stopped working with Besson.

Drop a comment... I actually want to know if it sucks too. I can barely find the time to even hit the theater...

There’s already a thread about this movie... but judging by the silence, clearly nobody's actually watched it. Or if they did, they're all just keeping their mouths shut...

Try finding the soundtrack over here...

Yeah... Barry Pepper... and there was a time when Michael Rapaport was constantly popping up in big movies in supporting roles too...

I’d personally go with that trio—Tom Sizemore, David Morse, and Bill Paxton... though I can probably think of a few other names if I tried harder.

But man, I still remember those days when you'd see those three popping up in every other movie, usually playing one of those supporting roles that actually made the film interesting.

This spy thriller comes from director Michael Hafstrom, who most people recognize from the 2007 flick "1408." It’s set in New York City back in the 1940s and features a heavy-hitting cast of international stars. You've got John Cusack, who already teamed up with the director for "1408," alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan, David Morse, Franck Potente, Chow Yun-Fat, Ken Watanabe, and Li Gong. Filming took place in Thailand and the United Kingdom. The budget sits at $50 million, with a release date slated for July 2010.

Before long, Soames and Anna are involved in an affair that will put everything they have at stake. JAPANESE TRAILER

It's a psychological thriller from director Michael Winterbottom ("A Mighty Heart", "Happy Hour People", etc.) that feels like "American Psycho" but with a subtle noir vibe. It's already hit the circuit at festivals like Sundance, Berlin, and the Tribeca Film Festival, where audiences have absolutely loved it and the critics are raving. Based on the hit novel by Jim Thompson, the cast is stacked with big names like Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Ned Beatty, Elias Koteas, Bill Pullman, Simon Baker, Tom Bower, and Casey Affleck in the lead. In the US, it hits theaters with a limited release on June 18th, though it lands in the United Kingdom even earlier on June 8th.

Christian Taylor3 said:Yeah, honestly, it’s kind of worrying for those of us hanging out on this film forum—we all pretty much live for your initial takes after those press screenings. Even more so than waiting for your deep dives from Cannes. 😁

Look, I’m asking you a serious question here and all you do is mess with me... seriously.

Larry Harris8 said:wtf? Is this a joke or is someone actually negotiating this over there?☕

Honestly, nobody’s dropped a real 3D Fight Club yet, so it’d be cool to pack that fourth one with action while JC Penney is still cooling off after "The Towering Inferno"🙏

poor Dolph probably just lives for getting beat up🤣

Assume it's just pre-selling... basically, the producer will try to hawk the concept at this year's Cannes... if the numbers look good, they'll likely hit up JC Penney and Dolph with an offer to jump back in for another one...

briskbison41 said:You mean for the fourth time?🤣

poor Dolph.. he just takes beatings all day😁

Nope... third time. He was in the first one... then the third... and now maybe the third time in the fourth film☕ 😁 😁

Andrew Sanchez3 said:Is Dolph even acting much lately?

Yup... everything is in 16! And he isn't just acting... he's directing too. His recent director/actor project was "Icarus"... and he'll be in "The Expendables" soon...

Wasn't there some kind of press junket happening around here yesterday? Anyone catch it?? I couldn't make it, unfortunately...

I wonder if this is actually happening!!? If it is... they're gonna kill off Dolph for the third time lol😁🤣
