How to appeal a partial ban? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Can you please just accept things for what they are for once in your life? Yes, I was a moderator back then and I’m still a moderator now. The decision rests entirely with me. I'm not sure what part of that is unclear. There is no further discussion to be had here. We have already exhausted this argument across several threads on the PŽK. I don't see any point in dragging this out again.
You only received partial access six months ago. It isn't being revoked now.
As far as the admins are concerned, Tyndall already stated in one thread that you should reach out after 18 months.

No.

Eric Newman75 said:Alright, one last thing from me and then I'm done. My bad, obviously. 🙂

I messed up what I wrote above, and you just confirmed it—it did say he was married. That's point one.

Second, when I was talking about people dragging others, I wasn't really aiming at voden as much as I was at N'dugu and that one user who showed up here using the exact same rhetoric during the ZgSash thread. He dropped a few posts in a row, they got deleted, but they were up long enough that people started linking those insults back to the former moderator.

The guy got banned because his posts were genuinely toxic.

So, yeah. That's the deal.

Doxing on Reddit. Does that work? 😁

There you go. Your post has been set as the opening thread. 😁

Let's ensure that discussion on that specific thread stays strictly focused on avoiding commentary regarding moderator actions.

I can move all posts starting from post #28 over to a new thread, I just need someone to come up with a title for me. :I really am terrible at coming up with titles.

Joseph Watson3 said:Look, if you upload an image to Imgur and then just drop the link onto a Reddit thread, legally speaking, you’ve published that content to Imgur—not the forum. The site itself doesn't own the image.
Is that concept really that hard to wrap your head around?

Well, yes. The post lives on the forum, and the link to the image is inside that post. If the user happens to have an Imgur account, they can always delete the image. Once that happens, it won't show up on the forum either.

I suppose my view is that linking to a thread or a specific post where someone shared their own image isn't against the rules. However, if that original post gets deleted, or if the image itself is removed from Imgur, I don't think it's right for someone else to come along later and re-upload that same image to the forum.
Who's actually the local legend around here? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Of course. It’s one thing to participate in discussions, but it's quite another to follow someone into subforums you don't even frequent just to quote them solely to be insulting and completely off-topic.
Yildirim typically posts in the US and LSE sections. He always has. He didn't show up there specifically to harass ex Anaïs. He's been posting in the spark thread for a long time now. He isn't there because of ex Anaïs; at least, that much seems obvious.
I can certainly see why she might find it irritating. However, as long as he isn't breaking any forum rules and is responding to posts politely, his comments won't be deleted or sanctioned. She should probably just put him on ignore and disregard everything he says. I suppose there isn't really any other solution.

It isn't true that he is being tolerated or allowed to be insulting. But we should also be clear that she won't be tolerated doing that either.
How to walk away from a toxic relationship in Psychology & Therapy ·
What exactly is it you want from us? 😕
Look, if you aren't actually in love, you can just end this right this second if that's what you want.
I don't think you need a therapist. I guess you're just bored and looking for a little attention or someone to run errands for you.
I don't see how his rambling about wanting to marry you really matters in all of this.
Why were my threads deleted? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
The Forum is being tidied up. We are removing threads that the moderators feel aren't worth keeping around.

Since you can't actually link directly to someone's search results, it just doesn't work that way. If you manually click on Gerald Rivera17's username and select the option to view all topics, you should be able to see them yourself.
PMs in Forum Help! ·
I assumed it was pretty obvious that when you say "just with all the regular forum users," you're referring to the specific people you actually chat with, rather than the entire 273,000 members on Reddit.
PMs in Forum Help! ·
Is it happening with all the regular forum users too?
My theory was that this issue pops up when someone sends a PM from their phone.
But, I guess I could be wrong. It doesn't happen to me very often.

I hadn't really given it much thought. 🤷
It’s not that I’m particularly worried about it or anything, but I suppose it felt good to finally bring it up in this discussion. 😬

Honestly, I am so sorry; I suppose I was just getting way too excited about every single donation I made to lose track of some checkbox down at the bottom, um 😳

I definitely agree that they should expand our inbox capacity, maybe to at least 100 messages. 😁
The thing is, it hits the limit incredibly fast, especially when we're busy gossiping (just like my colleague darksailor2 mentioned 😳).

Then it happens—we step away for a quick coffee break for fifteen minutes, come back, and realize we missed a mountain of important updates because our inbox was already maxed out. 😢
Girls, now that I actually say it out loud, it makes us sound like we don't have lives outside of this Forum and our private messages. 🤔
Which is exactly true! 😳 Do something to brighten up our pathetic little lives. 😁

But seriously. Every single time I issue a ban, that automated message gets saved to my inbox, and more often than not, the banned user actually replies to it. Then there are all the other PMs regarding moderation duties. And just regular PMs. 😢 😁

I suppose I am fully behind you all in your fight for greater rights. 😁

Why shouldn't we be able to Ban users we interact with? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
coppernomad44 said:well, I'm clearly not the only one who's confused, because nobody else thinks the reasoning makes any sense either...

Am I not allowed to ask for an explanation?...

Yeah, I even asked the person who was banned, and even they don't think the reason given justifies a permanent Ban...

Aha. So we've finally reached the point where he actually KNOWS why he was Banned, he just happens to disagree with it. That’s a different matter entirely. 🤷
Why shouldn't we be able to Ban users we interact with? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
coppernomad44 said:Yeah, we are repeating ourselves... 😁

I’m asking again, why shouldn't this matter to anyone else who actually cares? Why does someone get Banned...

Sure, the reason for the ban was stated, but it didn't make any sense to me. And clearly, it hasn't made sense to anyone else either...
Look, Smizl asked for a specific, well-reasoned explanation as to why Bear received a permanent ban, but she never got one. I don't see why a clarification can't be provided, or why if people are genuinely curious about the reasons, they aren't allowed to have an explanation...

You can keep insisting that it's just a private matter between the banned individual and the administration, but I still don't see why it has to be kept exclusive to them, or why the reasoning can't be shared with everyone else who's interested...

since we've only heard the reasoning from one person, and it's obviously left us all pretty confused...

But why should those reasons be clear to you specifically? 😕 If anything is said at all, I suppose some people just "won't" understand. 😉

Here is a brilliant idea—if you are actually curious about why someone was Banned, maybe try asking them directly.
Can someone explain how the banning process works? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Everyone has noticed how much you attack Sovereign whenever he shows up in a thread. And you do it aggressively, too. Even though he clearly has way more experience with women than you do—since he’s actually been in a relationship while you just act superior and mock him constantly—it's pretty obvious. I went ahead and dug up just one example of how you communicate, though there are honestly dozens more.
One of my warnings. I suppose I should probably address the recent comments regarding the Democratic Party's current direction. It seems like there’s a lot of heated debate happening right now, and while I don't want to overstep, I feel compelled to offer a bit of my own perspective on the matter. It honestly feels like we are seeing a significant shift in how certain policies are being handled, and maybe that isn't necessarily a bad thing, though it certainly feels unsettling to some. I guess you could say the tension is palpable. I truly believe that if we look closely at the underlying issues, there might be a more balanced way to approach these changes, but perhaps I'm being overly optimistic. I'm just sharing this because it feels important to maintain a level of civil discourse, even when things get intense. We should try to listen to one another, even if we don't fully agree. After Sovereign finished messing around and completely derailing the conversation into the Offtopic forum.
Well, here you go again after four days, weighing in on his post:
Asking someone for a cigarette and a lighter is basically the same thing as hitting on them. 🤦 Well, I guess that’s just Sover for you. :zubo

I'm not really sure what exactly he's taking offense to, but I see no reason to back down. If anything, I think it’s necessary to stand my ground and push back even harder. There's no point in giving in just because someone is acting sensitive.

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:It’s pretty obvious how successful your pickup lines actually are, isn't it? You’re still single, despite all those attempts involving offering cigarettes—not that I’d ever do that if I were a smoker, because I absolutely can't stand people begging for smokes—magic tricks, terrorist dads, and whatever else. Personally, I haven't seen a single successful line yet, unless you count something incredibly stupid that a middle schooler might fall for. A real opener should be an icebreaker, a way to initiate basic communication, but these lines just end up making a girl laugh at you or leave her feeling confused. That’s about it. Just because you managed to make that girl laugh with your magic trick doesn't mean she was actually interested; honestly, I doubt she would have fallen for it even if she were single. Maybe she was just taken and used that as an excuse to get rid of you. 🤷
To pull off a successful approach, you really need charisma—a certain level of charm and a sense of humor that doesn't cross the line into being tacky. If you nail that, any conversation can get off the ground. Even if the approach fails, say because you just aren't her physical type (and Apollo, you might want to take note of that), it’s still worth it to have a girl around for casual hangouts and seeing each other every now and then. I guess it also helps to stay clean-shaven and well-groomed; women definitely appreciate that. 😉

You only got a warning for this specific post, but honestly, you could have been hit with way more than that. I mean, you even commented earlier about how someone should probably shave more often (?)—it’s getting ridiculous.
And honestly, seeing those photos of yours—with that patchy, uneven little beard going on—it’s probably no wonder people think you're way younger than you actually are. I mean, I had that exact same kind of scruff when I was sixteen. 😂

Look, kid, that’s just not regular. It's like if someone asked you, "Do you shower on a regular basis?" and you answered, "Yeah, maybe twice a month." You know, if you end up working at a firm somewhere, you're going to have to shave much more often than just twice a month. :mig Maybe it's just me, but I can tell you from experience—guys who stay freshly shaven definitely have an edge with women.
No, it’s not even a question of whether you look younger with or without a beard; with that beard, you just look like some high school kid whose facial hair is barely starting to come in. :rofl :

but you just keep going
Jeffrey Cooper7 said:Well, who else am I supposed to reply to if I'm quoting you? : shrug:

And how would that even sound—offering to buy a girl a drink? "Hey, I noticed you're by yourself, so I thought maybe I could buy you a drink to cheer you up?" Maybe something like that? Or just, "Hi, can I buy you a drink?"

Look, that feels a bit sleazy to me, but sorry, it’s way too sleazy. If you aren't even able to earn enough for your own cigarettes and a lighter, why would I give you a few bucks? I might give a couple of dollars to the guy I see every day who doesn't have both hands, because he actually needs it, or if I see someone truly destitute, but just because someone asks nicely so they can buy smokes? No. I had one instance where a guy with his girlfriend stopped me and asked if I had a few bucks to lend him. What was I supposed to say? "Yes, absolutely, here is some money." I just told him straight up I didn't have it and left it at that. I mean, what kind of behavior is that? He isn't a beggar, he isn't disabled; he's a perfectly capable person, and now I'm supposed to hand out cash to people like that?
I only know one thing I learned from panhandlers: when you ask them for a favor in return, it's pretty hard to get one. ☕ Personally, I think it would be embarrassing for a healthy, able-bodied man to have to beg for money. I'd rather take any job under the sun than have to beg.☕

Some comments from forum users who have noticed how often you do this

UnknownRoad said:this has nothing to do with the topic, you guys are being incredibly annoying🙄

Which one is Express to you? You latch onto this guy in every single post. You know, nobody likes a smart-ass.

mentalny said:Man, he really went all out on him...

On topic: I remember hearing some similar pick-up lines back in the day (absolute nightmares): "Hey baby, you'd eat anything I gave you!"

:/

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:What's going on here? Is every guy on this thread defending him? 🤣

mentalny said:It's just because the guy's got looks, that's it! He's being defended! : D

Come on, keep the bad pick-up lines coming!

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:Just a pretty face.🤣
I honestly wonder how many women would actually say someone is good-looking. 😁

Regarding the subject, it reminds me of Will Smith and his lines from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH4BJ9B1lrw : D

In short. You've done this repeatedly across several different threads.
You ignored the warnings. After receiving a few strikes for trolling and getting explanations and warnings via DM, your response to my private messages was, predictably, more trolling. That’s when you started leaving those little notes on my posts:
