Law Abiding Citizen (2009) in Movies ·
Honestly, I think this movie is incredible—easily one of the best things I've seen all year. The way the whole plot is structured is just brilliant, and the character Butler plays is so well-developed. As for the ending... yeah, part of me wishes it had gone down a different way, but I’m actually okay with how it played out. It felt earned, and I wouldn't change a thing because it was pretty much what you'd expect (SPOILER) that anyone who tries to take justice into their own hands—even if that justice is harsh or feels right in the moment—is ultimately going to end up dead or behind bars.

Rutger Hauer as Roy Batty in Blade Runner and Schwarz as the T-800 in Terminator 😁
Lethal Weapon Collection - Director's cut in Movies ·
Since the voting opened up, I went ahead and cast my vote for the second one... mostly because I’ve lost count of how many times I've watched it, and it just hits different. It’s got that special place in my heart. But honestly? The whole Weapon series is top-tier. Every single movie holds its own when it comes to quality and pure entertainment value. I’ve seen them all countless times, and I swear, I could sit through them over and over again and still get a huge kick out of them. Seriously, the greatest duo in cinema history. 😁

briskbison41 said:That Saw series was pretty mid for me... feels like they just follow the exact same formula every single time.

Either you totally missed the point of the story or I don't know what else to say. Nothing about this is following some repetitive pattern, because honestly, every sequel handles things differently and actually introduces new elements and explanations...

So, a high-quality rip finally dropped, so I sat down and watched it today. Honestly, the movie is more than just good—everything actually connects and makes sense for once. So, spoiler alert, Hoffman managed to slip away again based on how things played out at the end, right? Man, we’re going to be waiting forever for the next sequel. I'm dying to know where they take this next...
Resident Evil series (2002-2008) in Movies ·
Resident Evil: Degeneration is easily the peak of the franchise, and honestly, I’m just sitting here hoping we get more sequels that actually hit like that. Most of these movies are straight-up garbage because, first off, the characters and the plot don't have even a shred of connection to the actual games... the characters feel like they were just tossed in there as nothing more than window dressing to pretend there's some link to the source material. And second: Who is Alice? Where the hell are the real icons? We should be seeing Leon Kennedy, Claire, and Chris Redfield, or Jill Valentine, and all the chaos that actually revolves around them. The animated RE projects are handled so much better—the stories are solid, the plots actually make sense, everything is a perfect ten... whereas the live-action movies are just massive failures...

Honestly, he could have had fifty more assistants helping him out and it wouldn't change a thing, because at the end of the day, they just don't have an original thought in their heads... 🙄

God, I just read online that they’re planning to shoot the seventh installment in 3-D and already have an eighth one lined up for 2011. Honestly, I wish they’d just pack it in and go home already... 😠 👎. Don't get me wrong, I actually found most of them pretty engaging, but man, there is such a thing as going way too far... 🙄 Most people are just waiting for this whole franchise to finally wrap up because at this rate, there's never going to be an end in sight...

I guess it’s because of those ridiculous scenes where they’re just trying to tear each other apart, but honestly, how do you even kill something that’s basically immortal?

Look, if I were calling the shots, I'd make sure they stayed dead once and for all. If they ever ended up on the floor, I’d just chop them into tiny little pieces, ship every single limb to opposite ends of the United States, and bury them deep in the ground. Then you can try getting back up if you're feeling ambitious... let's see if there's a sequel after that. 😂🤣

Ryan Wood98 said:To be honest, I found the first one to be rather foolish, much like most American superhero movies (with a few exceptions, of course). So, I suppose I am not expecting much from the second one either.

I feel like you're one of the rare ones actually trashing that movie☕

The American quarantine was a total disaster. 👎

I'm in. 🙂I really hope they don't go overboard with the sequels. Personally, I feel like this one installment was more than enough to tell the story... anything else just feels like they're going to water down the whole concept.

That idiot Costner, right after the MASSIVE TOTAL DISASTER that was Waterworld, just went and crashed even harder with The Postman.

😵 😵 😵

I wouldn't exactly call Waterworld a failure, though. It picked up some awards and had Oscar nods... As for Costner, if you ask me, he was at his absolute best in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Bodyguard, and The Untouchables (which is my favorite 😁 )

Man, I’d give anything to see Mel Gibson get back in front of the camera... but from what I’ve been hearing lately, he’s pretty much done with acting and just wants to stick to directing. 😢
3:10 Honestly, the Yuma remake is hands down better than the original 🙂
1. Fight Club (which they never even bothered to release on DVD here in the States 🙄)
2. American History X (another one that either never saw an official US DVD release, or if it did, you can't find it anywhere to save your life 🙄)
3. Pulp Fiction 😁
4. A Clockwork Orange 🙏
5. Scarface 👍
This thread is basically like asking: "What's your go-to drink? a) water or b) beer" 😂🤣. It all depends on what I'm feeling at the moment 😁. But seriously though... when it comes to movies, it really just depends on the specific film. Most of the time the original is obviously better, but there are those rare cases where a remake actually manages to surprise you and turn out decent, so I can't quite decide how to vote here...

This movie is such absolute garbage, it’s actually insane. I couldn't even make it to the end... gave up about two-thirds of the way through because it was just that bad.
