Brian Foster2 said:The website for Profil is a total wreck, just like those algorithms everyone keeps whining about... it’s a disaster. Half the stuff listed in their inventory isn't even on the site. And get this—I saw a review today in the local paper for that old horror flick on Brier Street... the first four parts are hitting video stores this week, and you can bet they'll show up on Profil or Algorithm pretty soon...

I'll just give them a call and see if they actually have it. Thanks. 🙂

Brian Foster2 said:You can pick up Seven and American history x at Barnes & Noble or grab them on loan from the local library video collection.

I checked their website, but there’s absolutely nothing listed... Maybe they have them for sale in-store but just haven't bothered to update the site yet...

Arthur Garcia59 said:Look, if it's listed on the movie site as having been released, I know it happened. Why it isn't showing up somewhere else shouldn't be the reason this thread is called "MovieSite.com" instead of "US Distribution" or "Where Are All the Movies?"

Alright, fine, you got me there. I messed up the thread title. But regarding this whole "verified release" thing... it clearly isn't true when there are actual movies supposedly out that are impossible to find here because they just don't exist in stock. I actually got a little excited today seeing news that they released Street Fighter on DVD. Now the real question is whether that'll follow the same pattern or if it’ll actually hit the shelves and rental stores. As for American history X and Seven, I actually went as far as calling Blitz on the phone back in the first month specifically about those two, and they told me: "We've released them, they'll be on sale by the end of the month." And since then? Nothing. Not a single trace...

I had to start a whole new thread just to vent about this one website... Honestly, it’s not even just that one site, I’ve noticed the same pattern popping up in a few different places lately. I make it a point to stay on top of everything coming out on DVD, and I’m genuinely wondering if anyone else has caught onto this weird glitch in the matrix. A huge chunk of these "New on DVD" listings? They don't exist. Seriously. I’ve checked everywhere—online retailers, local shops, you name it—and half the stuff listed isn't even in stock or available for rent. I'm talking about big titles like the A Nightmare on Elm Street collection, American History X, Seven, and so on. It makes zero sense. I’ve double-checked, too. Some of these movies were supposedly released like six months ago according to the sites, but there hasn't been a single trace of them since. No shipments, no updates, nothing. Just total silence. If anyone actually knows what's going on with these phantom releases, please... I could really use an answer here...
Man, if they’d just finally release Fight Club on DVD here in the States... :S

I heard someone say they released the first five movies on DVD over here. Does anyone actually know where I can find those? Vertex has always been pretty solid when it comes to their movie selection, but lately, it feels like they haven’t put out anything decent in ages... just a bunch of absolute trash cartoons instead.
Call of Duty in Movies ·
I checked out Call of Duty yesterday and honestly, it wasn't anything to write home about, but I guess it's worth a watch if you've got nothing else to do...

Alex is the man, and he definitely deserves a say 😁
It’s bad. Actually, it’s just plain bad... Not even as bad as Once Upon a Time in the West, but man, you’ve got Clint Eastwood, Tuco, and Angel Eyes in that one, making it way more entertaining and interesting 😁
Look, I’ll just say it: 2001: A Space Odyssey is mind-numbing boredom to me, whereas Blade Runner easily sits in my top 10 all-time. That should tell you everything you need to know about my taste...😁
Midnight Meat Train (2008) in Movies ·
Absolute masterpiece. And man, it is brutal as hell. 😁
Max Payne - the trailer looked promising, but the movie was absolute trash

Rewatched this yesterday and honestly, I’m just gonna say it again—this movie is incredible. The tension is unreal. But this time around, I actually sat there and tried to make sense of that ending, because let's be real, it makes zero sense. Once those mirrors shattered and the demon crawled back into the old lady, the whole mirror thing should have been over, right? So after Jack Bauer kills her (and probably dies himself in the process), how on earth does he end up trapped inside the mirrors? I’ve been digging through some forums looking for answers and found a couple of theories. One idea is that when the glass broke, the demon dragged Jack Bauer into that mirror dimension, and that’s where the actual fight happened... which would explain why he's stuck there after killing the woman. Another theory is that the demons just snatched him up as revenge for what he did to her, leaving him stranded in that void. People are tearing him apart or praising him in the comments, but I'm just sitting here trying to piece it together because the logic is so fuzzy. Did anyone actually wrap their head around the ending? And for those of you who've seen it, what's your take?
Who is the greatest Sci-Fi director? in Movies ·
Ridley Scott because of Alien and, for me, the absolute best Blade Runner😁
Outlander (2008) in Movies ·
Caught it yesterday and honestly? I liked it. It’s definitely a massive step up from Pathfinder.
Donna Thompson2 said:If we’re being completely honest here—and I mean truly, brutally realistic—that scenario has absolutely zero chance of happening.

If you didn't catch the drift, it was a joke ☕. I said the closest things to reality would be Mad Max or maybe The Day after Tomorrow. Though, honestly, there's probably a few others that fit...
28 Weeks Later 😂🤣

I mean, I'm right there with you... honestly, the closest thing we've got to a real-life scenario is probably some kind of Mad Max nightmare, mostly because everyone is going to be clawing at each other over oil reserves... though, if things go south fast enough, we could just as easily end up in a total disaster movie like The Day After Tomorrow
