If you downloaded Windows directly from Microsoft and this is still happening, then we're looking at something else entirely.
Especially if you just did a clean install, let the system grab its own drivers, and then only installed something like Chrome or Opera before everything goes boom. At that point, you really need to check the hardware.

Just try installing Windows 11 straight from the Microsoft site just to rule it out.
So, a second Microsoft Account?
What should I upgrade to after my HP 625? in Laptops ·
Finding anything decent on DVD these days is a total nightmare, but honestly, who even cares anymore?
If you’re really dead set on it, just grab an external drive.

iPad issues after factory reset in IT Support ·
You’ve got a mountain of instructions here—do this, do that—but honestly, with all those workarounds and hacks, none of it is actually going to work. Might as well use this as a coaster for your beer.

If you just send them the confirmation without a model or reference number, they’ll have the money in your account within minutes. There isn't even a cap on how much someone can wire you via ACH.

The SP is just days away and we still don't have a dedicated place to debate the high-budget production value of the upcoming broadcast from Qatar. We need to reminisce about those absolute dumpster fires of past shows—the terrible guests, the mindless chatter, 🙄 that one heavy-set guy with the beard who thought he was a singer, having Elvis Presley act as a "specialist" on Mexico, Only Army's endless stories about 1934 and Meazza, or even that classic debate about when the neighbor's cow dies.
We urgently need a PDF!
Sure, go ahead and type in an email like no@thankyou.com and any random password you want. They'll just tell you the account is invalid and report you to the local authorities right away.
What's the point of required reading? in Students & Teens ·
I didn't bother with a single required reading assignment in high school, yet I’ve definitely read more books than everyone else combined. I could never get through those dusty Russian classics, but I absolutely devoured anything by Sven Hassel. And don't even get me started on guys like Hemingway—it's like trying to decipher ancient hieroglyphics.

PS *The Little War Diary* is an incredible read.
How to connect to WiFi on Windows XP? in IT Support ·
Honestly, it's garbage. There's zero point in even connecting it to the internet. Maybe you can use it to play Solitaire.
How to connect to WiFi on Windows XP? in IT Support ·
There’s even a modem lying around—plug it in and you can get IE6 running. Pure nostalgia.
Though, honestly, I don't think anyone actually uses dial-up anymore. There's probably nothing left to even connect to.

Even if you manage to get it connected and download this browser, you're dealing with a single-core relic from the Stone Age. With maybe 512MB of RAM—if you're lucky, maybe even 256MB—it'll struggle just to open a single tab.

Man, those old laptops actually had a physical switch on the side you had to slide back and forth just to turn on the WiFi.
It’s not gonna happen in a week. Look, in Rufus there’s this "Windows To Go" option—just select that. Honestly, how it actually plays out is anyone's guess since I haven't personally tested it. Who knows if it'll act up on different laptops or PCs when drivers are missing, or present, or just a total mess...
Just grab a Windows 10 or 11 ISO straight from Microsoft, fire up Rufus, and pick "Windows To Go." It might take a few hours to finish building.
As for whether it actually works? You'll just have to find out.
The only thing is, you can't just yank that external drive out while you're working, or everything will go south real fast.
I picked up a used 500 GB external HDD, and I was wondering if it’s actually possible to install Windows 10 (or 7) onto it. If it is, how do I pull that off?
So, this guy wants to install Windows onto a USB drive. Look, it’s not exactly a walk in the park. You can easily set up Windows To Go for version 10 or 11, but trying to get Windows 7 onto a USB stick? That's going to be a massive headache, and honestly, it's not even worth the effort because the performance will be absolutely soul-crushing.
Mary (2021) in Movies ·
Every single movie about the coast follows the exact same formula: some hot-headed guy—either the dad or the husband—who spends the whole time yelling because nothing is ever good enough for him. Then you’ve got the wife just playing along, and a daughter who’s stuck in a depressive funk, desperate to escape, only to be held back by her controlling father even if she's already in her 40s.
Wi-Fi driver issues? in IT Support ·
Or just hit Device Manager, right-click on whatever Wi-Fi icon has that yellow triangle or question mark, and update the driver. Then you can finally find the folder where you unpacked this thing.
And honestly, who knows? Maybe it’s some ancient relic without Wi-Fi. macOS usually handles all the drivers automatically anyway.
Three games in one day was the sweet spot; four was just overkill. I mean, who actually wants to be watching Costa Rica vs. Japan at 11 PM? Plus, you can't compare Winter to Summer—you're wiped out much earlier in the Winter when it's dark basically all day.
Unfortunately, yeah, having those three teams in one group is going to be a total disaster. My favorite part was the group stage, especially those first two matchdays—now we’re losing all that excitement. Plus, once some underdog makes a run for the Democratic Party or Lesotho, things are going to get incredibly messy.
We aren't going to forget Qatar anytime soon.
