Yeah, yeah, I think I already mentioned that in three different posts earlier...😉
Word is it all comes down to the budget, and the investors are starting to get cold feet about the money involved. They might pick things back up in the fall, but honestly, it might just be over for good...😬
Nescafé or Turkish coffee? in Miscellaneous ·
slywolf45 said:That's interesting...
I spent basically my entire life drinking Turkish Coffee and absolutely loved it, you know, there's just that coffee, the one you can always recognize...😁
But then I finally tried Nescafe. It was honestly love at first sip... 🙂

I just really can't stand it when they make it for me at bars using nothing but straight milk...👎

I've actually walked away from a Nescafe at a cafe more than once without even taking a sip, just because the way they prepared it looked totally revolting, like it would actually make my stomach turn... maybe if someone makes it at home it's fine, but out in public, no way...😢

I just can't bring myself to fall for Nescafe or give it a real chance... For me, it's still all about Turkish Coffee 😍
analoglynx23 said:last year's topic from this same author actually felt more interesting to me... 😁

Man, you certainly don't give up easily☕

Personally, I just love this time of year when the days stay so incredibly long😍
The group from the church is what really gets to me... 😬
And right on their heels, you've got the bride-to-bes.
Nicole Cooper72 said:So, if a friend sent me some money online yesterday from a different bank to mine, shouldn't it show up by noon today??? It’s just not showing up on my end, and I even stopped by the branch, but the teller told me it should have been there already, yet there's still nothing...

Sometimes it can actually take two or even three full business days when you're dealing with different banks.
Just hang in there and wait a little longer, and definitely keep in mind that since it's the weekend now, things might take an extra bit of time...
Nicole Cooper72 said:I need to mail an item of clothing, and I was wondering if they would just process it as a package if I put it inside a big yellow envelope...

They always send mine that way.🤷
Whenever the clerk at the UPS Store seems a little hesitant, I just politely ask them to treat it as a package because it’s just much easier for me and it's how I usually handle my shipments and receive things... and they almost always end up accepting the envelope as a package after I ask...
Selling my soul to the devil to get out of debt in Miscellaneous ·
Not really. I'm just a bit of a pushover myself 😬
But I am genuinely curious to see what a price list for souls would actually look like...
American actors in movies in Movies ·
Maybe it’s just because they focus so much on stage acting at those academies, but film acting is a whole different beast...🤷 I mean, you aren't even really projecting your voice or worrying about that precise theater diction when you're sitting in front of a camera like that...
gentleranger19 said:Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up those yellow bubble mailers... it feels like they're charging a bit too much at the local Post Office.🤷

You can usually find them at places like Barnes & Noble😉
They tend to be a little easier on the wallet than the Post Office...
Superstitions in Miscellaneous ·
That’s a first for me...
Even though I have my moments where I let myself believe in things that aren't exactly grounded in reality, this just sounds like total nonsense to me...
Stupid question :D in Miscellaneous ·
Mark Ross8 said:If we're talking about people snorting coke or meth 😵😵😵

If that were actually the case, it would certainly make sense...😁
But honestly, most of those folks haven't even seen a line of powder in their lives...🤣

just leave a little bit to the imagination and show off almost everything...
success is basically guaranteed, because our buddy is going to be absolutely mortified by the sheer embarrassment... and if at least two of you actually walk out on him mid-way through, well, that might just be the hardest part for him to swallow...

Yeah, totally—aim for those perfect materials like polyester and plenty of Spandex, maybe even some glitter thrown in there, and definitely grab the cheapest shoes you can find...😍
It’s also highly recommended to sprinkle in a bunch of foreign loanwords where they don't belong and make zero sense in context...👍
Should you give your phone number to panhandlers? in Miscellaneous ·
To specific woman from this story? I definitely wouldn't be handing over my number... honestly, she should probably just be grateful instead of burdening some complete stranger by asking them to go out and buy diapers and stuff for her🙄.
It would have been fine if she’d asked about a job opening or something useful, but this whole approach just doesn't sit right with me at all...
I've certainly given my number to other people and I've done it plenty of times before, because helping someone out with money or supplies isn't an issue for me, provided my gut feeling tells me they're actually a good person...
ATM issues/locations? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I think I understood what he meant about finding the lowest withdrawal fees, specifically when you're using a Split card to grab some cash from an ATM at Chase or Citibank...
Some banks charge around $33 $3.25 in fees, while others tend to be quite a bit higher than that...
Elizabeth Brown90 said:The website mentions that shipping for packages up to 5 kg is $3.00...is that actually a new change?🤔

Maybe that rate only applies if you're sending something within the same zip code, because I remember it being $10.70 before...
Every single package I sent out last week ended up costing me over $12...

No legal system is ever purely on the side of what’s right, because we all know the old saying that justice is blind...
hollowpilot54 said:The collection for the 500-piece set has officially kicked off!

Wait, what's going on here? I'm a little lost...

I'm not even sure if we're all talking about the same movie, but I know for a fact this one's been pushed back until the fall, and by then we might finally see if they even decide to film it at all, especially since everyone headed back to the States about a month ago...
500 Days of Summer (2009) in Movies ·
The soundtrack was absolutely incredible, and honestly, the whole movie just felt so warm and sweet...
hollowsailor33 said:That just isn't true at all... I don't get why I have to keep insisting on certified mail, because honestly, I'm more than happy to pay whatever is asked as long as I get a tracking number or proof of shipment. She has proof that I sent the money, but where is my proof that she actually sent the item, right? If she had just told me to pay an extra $15, I would have paid $5.00 without even blinking... But her response was basically that she never uses certified shipping because it's such a hassle with $10! 😲
Wouldn't you want your money back in that situation?

Well, I assume you meant sending it as a standard package rather than certified, which should still give you some kind of receipt😉
I'm totally with you on this, she really should have just shipped it as a tracked package...
Sometimes I'll charge a customer $3.25, but then I'll just cover the difference myself to make sure the full shipping cost is met...
I've never just sent something via regular stamped mail, since it's usually assumed we're talking about tracked packages...
