The United Kingdom is stepping out with that band today. Might be worth a shot betting on England picking up their first yellow of the match...
Looking back at yesterday, Kane gets booked at 6.0, better odds there.😁
I noticed everyone's pulling Kane out of the yellow card markets today... strange.
I’ve been hitting the Muay Thai gym lately, training alongside my older son, who’s about 15 now.
Hopefully, kids will start getting out of the house more soon—honestly, this whole online generation thing is a mess; they really need to be out there running around instead of staring at screens. He needs to know how to hold his own if things get ugly... he's got pretty solid handwork down, though his footwork still needs some serious polishing. Still, the fact that he can land a decent low kick, a middle kick, or a knee strike means he won't be helpless if someone tries something. 😁
When he was younger, he did Taekwondo. His instructor back then actually drilled him on how to defend against knife attacks... and the kid actually remembered the techniques. With all the nonsense you see on the news these days, it’s probably a good thing he knows what to do.
But most importantly, I told him that if things ever boil over, he should try to talk his way out of it first, or just strategically walk away if there's any way to do it. There's no point in risking your health for nothing...

If you push too hard, you'll just trigger that teenage rebellion. It doesn't matter how much sense you make; it's a lost cause. Just let it be. Don't stress too much. In a few months, it'll be something else entirely anyway. Plus, at 14 and a half, he's still pretty easygoing compared to what might be coming in a year or two.
Once he hits high school, he'll meet a whole new crowd and find new interests...
Just let him go. My wife and I used to party and hang out with our own crews all the time when we were younger—we weren't exactly inseparable back then anyway.😁
He’s already in high school. Six years of middle school followed by five years of high school, kind of like that structured system they have over in the UK...😉
But if I'm being fair, COVID really messed things up. They kept everyone stuck in those ridiculous little bubbles at school, so you couldn't even socialize with kids from other classes, just your own group. Of course, once school lets out and everyone piles onto the same buses to head home, there aren't any problems socializing then...
School, homework, whatever else life throws at you... it's all part of the deal, I guess. Just the way it goes.🤣
How on earth do you get a teenager to actually leave the house?
My son is about 14 and a half, and trying to convince him to hang out with friends outside the house feels like a total mission impossible. It’s just a constant loop of PlayStation, phones, or PC—it’s nothing but technology and voice chat these days.
The girls aren't interested yet, and honestly, looking at his buddies, none of them seem much better off... they're all glued to their screens.
I've tried everything. I suggested going to the movies together, maybe hitting up a pool hall afterward, or even just grabbing a soda... nothing works. Even when he finally agrees and asks his friends, everyone else always comes up with some excuse to stay inside.😵
This is supposed to be the age where they explore, go wild, and actually live life... instead, they're just rotting away at home.😢
My kid is 9. He’s obsessed with Roblox—building his own worlds, designing avatars, clothing, whatever it is, I can't quite keep up... he even sells his creations for in-game currency. It’s not like he’s minting gold bars or anything, but people buy them, so it's a thing.
He started a YouTube channel about two years ago. He's sitting at 95 subscribers now, which I think is actually pretty respectable for his age. When he hits a wall, he just consults Google or Wikipedia if I don't have the answer, or uses YouTube tutorials when he gets stuck. If he needs specific code for his Roblox builds and doesn't know how to write it from scratch, he just finds existing code and adapts it.
I guess I'm sharing all this just to give you an idea of how his brain works and how independent he actually is.😉 The boy is on the autism spectrum. For me, technology feels like a viable career path down the road... maybe even a way for him to have a "normal" life.
Oh, one more thing—we have a Lego Mindstorms EV3 kit lying around the house, but we haven't actually sat down to mess around with it yet. *****
So, what programming language should we start with? Should we stick to something basic like scratch? Or jump straight into something more heavy-duty?
Language isn't an issue. English is his primary language, and he doesn't really speak or write anything else since we live abroad.
It’s not even about whether the math checks out or if it's physically impossible... it's more about why we aren't seeing any picks on the over/under players from the EP? 😁
Gregory Brown94 said:The situation with Lewis Hamilton is crystal clear to me. Having a car with an illegal rear wing that pulls pole in qualifying? That’s a straightforward disqualification, plain and simple. At best, they'll just swap out the wing and let him start from the pit lane for Sunday's race. Given how things are looking, if Lewis Hamilton can find enough pace in today's sprint, he might actually be able to muscle past Max Verstappen—maybe even force him wide. Even with the penalty, it doesn't really matter because he's starting from the pits anyway, whereas Max would be stuck at the back of the pack.
Max Verstappen’s situation is much more complicated. Based on what we know, it looks like he was intentionally messing with the rear wing, which goes against the spirit of the sporting regulations. It's hard to call this one because it all comes down to steward discretion, and honestly, relying on that feels like being out on a boat in choppy waters. We can sit here and vent about "stupidity" all we want, but ultimately, it's up to the officials and how they choose to view the situation.
Are you aiming for sarcasm here? Michael Schumacher got slapped with a ban for the rest of the season because he intentionally rammed a rival... why on earth would you think Lewis Hamilton would get anything less if he pulls the exact same stunt now?
Lawrence Garcia5 said:And you're clearly an anti-Hamilton guy. It’s honestly hilarious how much resentment he and Mercedes-Benz have stirred up over the last few years.
But looking at this objectively, both drivers messed up. They should have started in the last and second-to-last positions. That’s the fairest call you could make.
Nah, I'm a Hakkinen fan through and through. These new guys don't mean anything to me, except I have to stay updated for work...
So explain to me how punishing both of them by putting them at the back is "fair"? Does tampering with the formula count as cheating in your book too?...
By the way, who would you actually have them start at the very back?
Jason Campbell70 said:Because the parts Vettel touched didn't end up being used as forensic evidence afterward. Is that really so hard to grasp?
This time, after Verstappen's contact with Hamilton's rear wing, an inspection by the FIA delegate was conducted to check technical compliance. In this instance, the issue is the contamination of the evidence by Max. That's strictly against the rules, and we can expect some kind of penalty—likely a fine or a formal warning.
Regarding Max contaminating the evidence, Mercedes will likely push to have the rear wing inspection results thrown out. Does that make sense now?
So, did his finger actually contaminate the wing? Or does Max just have a built-in screwdriver implanted in him that he can deploy in a split second...
Of course, we aren't advanced enough to look at a TV broadcast and pinpoint exactly how much gap there was during the stint before they started messing around... oh, wait, scratch that, we actually can...
What exactly don't you get...
Jason Campbell70 said:The stewards just handed down a decision that’s incredibly brief, but honestly, maybe even the best outcome for those of us watching. Send them both to the back of the grid.
So, your big master plan is to reward Lewis Hamilton—who’s basically just sitting there being held up by his engine anyway—while handing out a penalty to Max... unbelievable...
So, you're asking if I'm a Lewis Hamilton fan... honestly, who can say at this point? It’s complicated... turns out being a fan isn't always as simple as picking a side and sticking to it... everything feels a bit exhausted lately...
My wife and I just got our first dose of the modern stuff, and we'll be heading back soon for the second one.
As for the kids, we aren't planning on vaccinating them.
Why? It’s an easy call for me and my wife—we're halfway through life, so to speak—but I have no interest in giving the little ones something that hasn't been sufficiently studied yet.
So, what happens to the other 30%? Does it just go straight into the organizer's pocket? Like they just collect the cash and set up some fake league on an official site?
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 The stock cooler comes in the box, and honestly, it'll get the job done. But if you’re actually worried about temps... swap it out. I personally run an Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo, picked it up on Amazon for about $30 Crucial MX500 500GB SSD, then grab a 1TB hard drive if you need extra storage space Two 8GB sticks at 3200 MHz. Ryzen really benefits from higher frequencies, and running dual channel with two sticks is just better than a single one A 650W power supply should be plenty. Just check some reviews on YouTube to find one that hits the sweet spot between quality and price
MSI B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard
Graphics card—it all depends on what kind of monitor you’re eyeing and what resolution you want to hit, but I think you could squeeze an RX 5700 XT into this budget if you find the right one
Case—just find one you actually like looking at. Make sure it fits the budget and has decent airflow... otherwise, you're asking for trouble
Look, I just finished building my own rig about two weeks ago, so I'm still pretty green when it comes to all those technical questions you're throwing at me.
You might want to do a little digging on Google, or maybe someone here with more mileage under their belt will chime in...😉
The whole comparison is flawed from the jump. If you’re actually looking at an Intel card, you aren't grabbing the base model... you're going for the GTX 1660 Ti. The price gap is negligible, but the performance jump is real enough.
Plus, the XT version runs way quieter than the standard one.
