So, a nasty case of strep throat finally caught up with me, and I know exactly where I messed up...😠 😉 but honestly, it was a wake-up call..

It’s not about pointing fingers at yourself; it's about taking ownership. Of your own actions—whether you meant them or not.

Just look at all those degenerative diseases that start hitting people in their 50s. Who's really responsible for that? It's us. Every single one of us. It comes down to how we treat ourselves. We all know what's healthy and what isn't... sometimes the consequences are brutal, sometimes they aren't. But people just don't care. You can't watch every little thing, obviously. It's like karma.

Don't beat yourself up with guilt. Just realize what you did wrong and how it led to this point. It's scientifically proven that your Psychic state directly impacts your immune system.
A doctor shouldn't tell you, "this is your fault." Their job is to guide you toward that realization and show you the right way to heal. Sometimes that doesn't work because a person just isn't ready to hear it yet. Then you have to decide whether to be blunt or stay quiet. Personally, I don't think people are "to blame" for a serious illness. It happens because of lifestyle choices or genetic predispositions—but those are the very things you can actually influence to prevent them from triggering. So, it’s not guilt. It’s responsibility. What wakes one person up might hurt another; the trick is figuring out those nuances...

You really need a pro to help you untangle the stress causing those imbalances. A therapist, usually, can give you specific cognitive tools and breathing exercises to bring those levels down.
Doing it alone... just doesn't work.😢

Exactly. I just meant our own thoughts are what trigger the whole disorder.

electricdriver78, look, I have to add... just through your own thoughts, you can actually influence your serotonin levels and other neurotransmitters.

Mind and body are definitely linked... and it works both ways.

And you're probably looking for some kind of quick fix. But these connections take years to build. Any technique that actually looks at the whole picture requires a deep dive.

It's likely not even about the drugs, but more like... well, maybe the smoking, the weed, the drinking, too much caffeine, the stress. It’s no wonder the intrusive thoughts are hitting you. A little bit of healthy living, some exercise, and things start to shift. Tea, water, light movement...🙂))

The mind-body connection goes way deeper than most people realize—though you might figure it out eventually. For more complex physical symptoms, you need time and a thorough approach.

If you're really worried, get checked out... but expect it to be a year-long process at least.

still glitching...

Wait, it’s still acting up? Even after the emails? That's weird... maybe you need to try something more effective, like summoning spirits, to get it to stop the glitches!? ...if the news is just going to Crunch like that, no way..

Give me a break... I've never heard anything quite like Explosions in the Sky before! 😁

haha, you really worked the room..🙄 😁

I thought The Holy Bible was fucking amazing... easily the best, until it got all warped 🙄 now I can't even sell it! damn karma...

And this stuff they do after Richey... it's basically Eurovision level. No idea why anyone would bother listening to it now... 😕 🙂

I'd get dizzy first, then just collapse somewhere on my commute to work... 🙄 😁

My ideal morning involves coffee, orange juice, and some pastries—freshly baked while I'm in the shower—plus cheese, ham, croissants, butter, yogurt, maybe even a slice of strudel if I'm lucky.

Not all at once, obviously. But still, nothing like 😉

Weekends call for bacon and eggs.

Roughly? 😂

rustymoose54 said:No, he wasn't targeting anyone specifically. Don't take this as a jab, I’d honestly rather just stay quiet, but what do you think about white bread? Why is whole grain actually better? I assume you really know your stuff and why it matters, but the issue is that plenty of people who claim to follow a "healthy diet" have no clue why they even need bread in the first place (or what to swap it with)... not calling anyone out, just speaking from real-world experience.

Well, white bread is pretty low on the nutrition scale. It's basically one of those "empty calorie" foods.
Sure, it gives you an energy boost from the carbs, but to actually process those carbs, your body needs minerals and vitamins that white bread just doesn't provide (it's barely better than sugar). That goes for any bread made from refined flour—you know, the kind where the husk is stripped away.
So, when you eat white bread, you're essentially creating a deficit of essential vitamins and minerals, because the ones you got from other foods end up being used up just trying to digest the white bread. Compare that to whole grain bread, which uses whole kernels and keeps all those vitamins and minerals intact. For a balanced, healthy diet, you should stick to whole grain... regular rye isn't quite the same thing, but it's still better than white since it's usually a blend of both types.

Oh, obviously, The Beatles 🙂 😁

The Clash haven't really hit the mark for a long time 😉 but Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros have an incredible album: Pop Art
one of my all-time favorites... 🙂

Blade Runner? 😁 Watching it in a theater versus on TV... the director's cut is a totally different beast. Much darker, way more depressing...

You have to see Samsara in a theater, on the big screen...😉 🙂 And honestly, I think they missed the mark there. For me, Tiger was better than Hero...

I went straight to Blade Runner too... though you probably only suggested Hero because you haven't seen Samsara... what a shot...🙏

finalnifantazista said:Seriously, people... "your mom dont admit it"??? It should be "doesn't," right?? Honestly, even for some hillbilly standards, that's rough. 😁

You don't say! 😁 😁

That quote is actually from a Nirvana concert back in '89 in Vienna, when Chris was singing "I'm a boy, I'm a boy, but my mom dont admit it." 😁 😁

But Cody Praff sang that bit from The Who to the guy... using "dont" feels punk enough, especially given it's Nirvana.

I think I might be selling that CDej!
