Does anyone remember which countries Jason Bourne traveled through while he was dealing with that memory loss? I have visions of Sicily and the Soviet Union swirling around in my head. Also, wasn't there some Russian guy he had some kind of deal with? Help me out here.
Look, listen... my vision is actually pretty good right now... but I’m starting to get nervous about it. I want to be proactive about prevention... if that’s even a thing. Is it just taking Vitamin D or something else? I don't know. And as for the college thing... obviously you can finish your degree and still have great eyesight. The people who ended up needing surgery were the ones who spent all their time hunched over books 😬
Should I be wearing glasses now or later? Honestly, is there any way to push that milestone back even a little bit? I’m looking for ways to delay needing them, though obviously, contact lenses aren't a permanent fix... I used to swear by eating carrots to help my vision, but I just read some claims suggesting that might actually be a myth.
The first time I donated blood, I actually passed out... As soon as I gave it, I tried to jump right back up and get to work, but my circulation hadn't fully stabilized yet, so the result was pretty predictable. Still, you can't really describe that feeling... It’s like when a camera in a movie starts spinning faster and faster until everything just goes black... Next time I donated, I made sure to lounge around for a bit afterward and didn't have any issues :vampirskizubo:
But about those people who pass out... are you guys maybe going through puberty? That kind of thing happens quite a bit during that stage of life

It's a critique of modern society... I saw this movie ages ago, but I definitely remember that scene. The cars just keep picking up speed and then, suddenly, you're cut to life in the countryside.

To put it simply
Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature where books start burning. books are evil.
F 451 ... what’s that in Fahrenheit?😬
The movie is definitely good... I watched it as a kid without really knowing what it was about, but that one scene stuck with me—the old man teaching the boy a book by heart. Back then, the only thing I could recite from memory was the lyrics to "Video Killed the Radio Star"... and honestly, I'm still not much better than that.😬
Look, there's nothing wrong with you—you're great (especially that thread about the underwear). You're killing it 😎
But there’s something to what was said above...👍
The forum? I'm not even on it that much... my computer is just always running and I happen to be around. And the underwear? Everyone thought I was joking, but I was being dead serious...😬
Anyway, about sleep... I woke up at 4:30 this morning even though I didn't need to be up until 5:50. Yesterday I had the whole day off😲 , but I just couldn't get to sleep. I ended up out looking at horses and the lake instead... As I get older, I honestly feel like sleeping is just a waste of time.
🙂I get that, but I want to actually enjoy myself once I hit retirement... though most people don't really think about that (at least not here on this forum).😬
ivanöv: That’s what happens when you stack up several days in a row without enough sleep. Honestly, even if I oversleep, I still don't feel great—it just makes me want to nap even more. For me, catching a few minutes in the afternoon is absolutely vital. Even if it's just a quick 3 or 4-minute power nap, it does the trick. Take Elon Musk, for example—he famously averaged about four hours of sleep, but he always made sure to take those 20-minute naps to stay sharp.
I’m getting a bit of sleep... maybe six hours on average, though usually less than that. I've never been great at managing my time. Some days I feel like a total zombie... but I know plenty of people who have lived like this for years, even sleeping less than I do. Well, the real question is how they do it.
What are your thoughts on organ donation? Is anyone here actually on the registry? I haven't quite made my peace with the idea yet. I just can't bring myself to commit to it, even though I know if the situation ever came down to it, I definitely wouldn't be the one needing someone else's organs (which, hopefully, are still in great shape). I'm totally fine with donating blood, but this other thing? I'm still on the fence.
I drink a ton of coffee. Honestly, too much. Sometimes I’ll knock back two or three cups before I even think about eating anything. Everyone tells me I’m asking for trouble and that I'll eventually wreck my stomach, but so far, I haven't felt a single issue. Is coffee really that bad on an empty stomach?
Of course it’s good. It shows life as it really is—how fathers fight for their kids and why we need to actually look at the specifics of custody cases instead of just assuming what should happen automatically. I don't see why anyone would compare this movie to Hollywood?
In *Marathon Runner*, that scene with Radmilovica is legendary—when they tell him, "He’s easy to be nervous. Pantelija died"... and he's already mentally calculating what his daughter will inherit (Sabljic) if she marries a Bjelovar resident (Diklic), all while shouting, "Ajdeeeee"!
Todorovic is great in *Gray Truck*, and Mandic is absolutely wonderful in *Ivkov Slava*.
