I don't know, I think Joe Biden is fine. But honestly, they all start to run together after a while. So, who actually counts as a top-tier comedian in your eyes? 😕
As for that legendary track by Queen—I’m honestly speechless. It isn't just a song; it’s something much greater than that. Thanks, Freddie, and thanks to the rest of the band too!! 🙏
lonegardener said:What is it about that song above that makes it feel so heavy and anxious?
Huh? I don't follow. What are you getting at? 😕 I'm saying that when I’m feeling down, I actually listen to sad music just to let it all out—usually something like "Nutshell" by Alice in Chains.
I don't know. If I decide there’s no reason to feel anxious or down, then I simply don't. If I do find myself feeling that way, I either hunt for the root cause or, if I already know what it is, I try to fix it. If it's unfixable, I just have a good, honest cry to some melancholy song, or I vent here on the forum and wait for a kind soul to offer some solid advice. After all, two heads are better than one 😁 Regarding the author—do you have any idea what might be triggering this anxiety? Even if you aren't sure, try to speculate so we can figure out what's actually bothering you in your life. - Perhaps you expected more from life? - From yourself? - From others? Those are the usual suspects when it comes to feeling depressed. Is there anything else you could add to that list??
If you want to change, then just change. It’s that simple. Just tell yourself—"I have no reason to feel anxious, so I won't be anxious. I am not anxious!" Is that really such a difficult concept? O.o
That waiter thing is actually pretty funny, haha. Personally, if I ever tried something like that... I’d probably just pee myself from pure nerves first. Then I'd end up stammering in this weird, pathetic tone, almost like a sob, "H-h-hey, p-p-please don't r-r-rejection me!!!" So yeah, I'm passing on stuff like this before I even start. 😂

So, look—whether it’s under some kind of "pressure" or just talking to strangers or even people I've known forever, I just freeze up. I can't talk normally...
It feels like I'm forcing everything, like if I actually spoke like my true self, someone would judge me or give me a weird look. I know I'm not stupid and I know how to communicate, but this struggle is real...
It happens when I'm hanging out with friends too, especially if I'm with someone I don't vibe with or just a total stranger. It's incredibly frustrating; I really don't need this. I end up talking way too quiet, way too fast, and half the time I just forget what I was even trying to say. I tell myself a million times, "Stop overthinking it, just talk." But then comes this wall where I can't even discuss problems or solve anything. I just shut down and act like the bad guy when things get serious, whether it's with a girl or at home, usually with my mom.
I end up putting myself down. I stay silent. I don't even snap back at shitty comments made toward me after a failed conversation. Then I spend the next hour or two just beating myself up, thinking, "Why didn't I say this? Why didn't I say that?" I love being alone, just peaceful and without the stress. This is eating at me. If anyone gets what I'm going through, please, try to explain why this happens. Like I said, I'm not crazy and I'm not some kid who *doesn't want* to talk—it's just that once I feel this way in a situation, I'm stuck. There's no way out.
I’m right there with you. I don't have a magic fix either, but I find some comfort in realizing that deep down, we’re all just fragile, anxious creatures. Nothing more, nothing less. Just try to take a breath and relax. 👍

I didn't actually mean you were that type of person—that was more of an ironic, sort of parodic way of expressing my own displaced position. 😁 For me, what’s even more irritating than antipathetic individuals is the group-think debating culture where being intelligent or having something meaningful to say isn't enough—sometimes, apparently, all it takes is being in the loop. Conflicts often just serve as a way for certain people within a group to reposition themselves and their social standing within that circle. It’s always, without fail, about self-interest. It looks like a psychological conflict, but they aren't actually that foolish. 😉
I notice everyone keeps bringing up these supposed "interests." So, what exactly are we talking about here? Someone please give me a list. 😁
What a brilliant breakdown of modern society. Exactly. Everyone views everything through such a narrow lens because they're pathologically self-absorbed. You can't discuss a single topic without someone immediately pivoting the conversation back to themselves. The level of ego on display is enough to make me sick. I honestly can't stand when every sentence starts with "I was..." or "For me..." argh!
The Spice Girls aren't actually bad. They did that track playing in the background of the movie Saint with Val Kilmer—6 Underground. It’s a solid song, but that music video is just terrible. The female vocals take over. Their other stuff is generally better. Anyway, trip-hop... that's a good comparison, really good... like a helicopter about to take off... 😂
Yeah, it happened with you too—and two other people. As for the forum users? I’ve got a couple of moderators breathing down my neck like debt collectors.
That level of aggression and that specific way of communicating immediately triggers my "polite contempt" mode. It’s fine, though; I don't even let it get under my skin. It’s tedious, sure, but honestly? I'm over it.

You just handed me the answer in the next paragraph.
Honestly, this just isn't happening for me. I’ve thought about it, and the answer is no. Legion tried to pin this on me, but that’s a total reach. His topics are actually pretty interesting, but when he starts peddling his "life recipes"—which anyone could do—I react to the advice itself, not to Legion. I don't even mind the guy, provided you can find the humor in his lectures.
You asked me if it was possible for someone to be named Abraham, yet I noticed you questioning another user about whether a certain name was even plausible.
Your contribution to this discussion dropped to zero; all that remained was your sheer irritation and blatant frustration. I told you then: the issue isn't with Abraham, me, or anyone else in the lineup—the issue is you.
Looking at this thread, specifically that first paragraph, it's clear you're just projecting your own annoying habits onto everyone else.
Yeah, I know. My bad. But honestly? I have to hand it to you—respect. 👍 You handled that perfectly.
Yeah, I’m mostly with everyone else on this thread—these little cliques are always running the show. Honestly, if you want to avoid getting screwed over, you basically have to play the part of the clueless newbie first. You spend all this time sucking up to them, kissing their feet, signing their posts, telling them how brilliant they are... and then, maybe after you've finally established some kind of status, you might actually be allowed to quote someone and disagree with them. But even then? You still have to nod along partially, because if you don't, you're suddenly the asshole. I hate this crap☕
This actually happened to me on a different subforum. I won't say which one. Their entire argument was basically that because one user had been around longer and was "good at what they do," they must be right. Please. That’s just a logical fallacy, plain and simple. ☕
By the way, if anyone actually has something to say—tell me in my DMs! Mwahahahahha. 😂😂😂

Truth is, I use it to deal with some frustrations of my own... but nobody has volunteered to be my target yet. Guess I'm just a milder version of Brenda Cooper3.😲😂
It isn't funny ☕.... 😍 🤣Brenda Cooper3 is an absolute divine bitch.
Jamie Reyes73 said:Why are you getting so worked up over this, little guy? 😁
We're all just here to mess around and trade some perspectives... I have my own targets for banter, sure, but I keep it within reason... Everyone loves feeling smarter than the next person—it's a classic ego trip—and then we end up talking trash left and right. 😬 But if you can actually learn something from it... you don't need to snap at every single obvious provocation or whatever they say. Jerry Martinez5, you've got moderators for a reason—go check with them. 😉
Anyway, happy 30,000th post to me. 😍
Congrats on the milestone.😍

I agree—people who feel the need to constantly tear others down have to be deeply unhappy and dissatisfied with their own lives. It’s honestly pathetic. I find myself wishing there was some kind of sanctuary where everyone could just decompress and rediscover that genuine version of themselves—the one that isn't malicious, but is actually playful and lighthearted. Walking through downtown Chicago, I look at the crowds and it feels like smiling is practically a crime. Everyone carries this incredibly stern, self-important expression, as if being miserable makes them more important. 😢
