Must be nice living in the big city... in Movies ·
I’m sitting here at the theater watching...
But honestly, I think since so many people out there are actually living life in the real world, it just feels like movies arrive way earlier to us, when in reality, we're just catching up to everyone else... You know? I’ll go ahead and start a whole new thread about a movie, only to realize it won't even hit theaters here in the States for another few months. It's such a drag...
Spider-Man in Movies ·
The biography is actually pretty solid, and I really loved that intense fight scene between him and the woman...
Spider-Man in Movies ·
I mean, sure... the special effects were pretty decent, but they weren't exactly... I don't know how to put it... mind-blowing...
That’s why Colin Farrell is just... chef's kiss... and 👍
Spider-Man in Movies ·
Colin Farrell....👍
Everything else about it was just a total disaster...
Chicago (2002) in Movies ·
Hehe... I think I already know which ones they're talking about...
P.S.
Honestly, Catharine ZJ is way better than Renée Zellweger...
Lilo & Stitch in Movies ·
Wait, what? I thought Lilo & Stitch was absolutely perfect too! Honestly, I still get all choked up thinking about those scenes where he was just struggling... and I remember sitting there crying with my whole family while watching those old duck cartoons... even though I’m way past that age now...
I actually have a plushie of Stitch dressed up in an Elvis Presley outfit with his mouth wide open sitting right on my bed. 🙂 😁
Anyone seen Monster's Ball (2001)? in Movies ·
Oh, please, don't you dare go thinking she’s cold or anything like that... It honestly seems to me like her partner just loves to tear down everything and everyone in his path because he’s clearly struggling with a massive inferiority complex since his wife is actually more successful and popular than he is, so he tries to justify his own cheating by making up these ridiculous excuses about how Halle Berry is "frigid"...
🙄

It’s a bit of a heavy watch, but honestly, it's pretty good...
Halle Berry really knows how to deliver an incredible performance when she wants to...
And she’s definitely got a great figure, too...

Honestly, it’s such a relief to find someone else who feels the exact same way about Dogma.
I actually ended up walking right out of the theater during Dogma because it was just so incredibly bad that I couldn't sit through another second of it... and honestly, that was only the second time in my entire life that I've ever walked out of a movie, which I think says everything you need to know about how much I hated it.
As for Daredevil... well... let's just say it was okay... if you really stretch the definition of watchable...
Colin Farrell was definitely the highlight of the whole thing, but everything else was just... oh my goodness... and I seriously have to wonder whose brilliant idea it was to cast Bennifer in the lead role (you know, the one everyone calls Mr. J-Lo)??? 🙄

Haha, but honestly, that’s kind of the whole point of the scene... Since Non-existent Renee doesn't actually have any curves, well... they just aren't there! She looked like she starved herself so much that instead of a cleavage, you just see a hollow space on her chest! 😲 😲
Personally, I thought Renee was just okay in this one... I really feel like they could have cast someone much more impactful for that role, even though she’s actually a decent actress in general, but in this specific movie... yeah, no way!
Queen Latifah was great, though. 👍

I honestly think the Moulin Rouge version hits different because the lyrics have such a unique vibe... it’s just so much more stagey! If you’ve ever actually seen the musical, you know exactly what I’m talking about... but either way, it’s still a great watch.
P.S.
Could you please, please pay close attention to Renée's breast... 😉 😁
Chicago (2002) in Movies ·
I caught the musical about a year or two ago and absolutely loved it—though if I’m being honest, I think Bombay Dreams is actually the superior show—so I really wasn't quite sure what to expect when sitting down for the movie version.
But, I have to say, it turned out to be way better than I anticipated!
It feels a little bit "stagey" at times (you know... almost like watching the actual musical but just with more frequent costume changes 😁 ), but it works perfectly fine for me.
Catherine Zeta-Jones was nothing short of sensational (which is saying a lot because she isn't usually my favorite actress, so that should give you an idea!), while Renée was just... okay... I honestly feel like they could have cast someone much stronger for the role of Roxie Hart.
Oh... and you definitely need to pay attention to Renée's Non-existent Renée in the film. I mean... she looks so incredibly thin... she’s so gaunt that she almost reminds me of someone starving in a remote part of Africa...

Hey, has anyone else had a chance to check out this movie yet...?
Wait, has this topic actually come up before, or am I just overthinking things...
I’m probably going to be running a little late again, but here I am anyway...
Haha... well... I guess I put exactly what I was thinking into words... cheesy, but damn good...
For instance, if someone tried to tell me that Mariah Carey isn't total cheese... I’d probably just throw my hands up in defeat, but at the same time, her version of Against All Odds is absolutely legendary for being that kind of cheesy goodness. So, it's exactly like I said... super cheesy, but honestly just great...
😉 😁
Hmm... you know, I’ve always had such a soft spot for those powerhouse vocalists like Mariah Carey or Celine Dion, or even someone like Michael Bolton... those kinds of legendary voices just really get to me... MOR
Honestly, Robbie Williams is such a legend, I don't know what you guys are talking about....? 😕
That song "No Regrets" is just absolutely stunning.
And that new track "Feel"... oh man, it's incredible... those lyrics are just something else... they really hit me right in the heart.🙂
What is wrong with you guys? Justin and Craig David aren't even remotely sleazy... honestly, I wouldn't mind having both of them around quite a bit myself, if you know what I mean...😳 😳
Okay, seriously though, what are those super cheesy songs that you actually can't help but love?
For me, the absolute cheesiest tracks I have a total soft spot for are Mariah Carey and the Backstreet Boys with "Against All Odds"
I just love getting lost in them, so please, go ahead and roast me if you must...
And honestly, maybe even that classic by Lionel Richie, "Hello"
Ugh, it’s just so incredibly sappy yet so incredibly good!

Helllooooooo Is it meeeee you're looking fooooor 😁 😉
Little ant... for Mike and the crew in Music ·
Taiwan? Honestly, it sounds like some other version of Steven Ruiz... 😉
