I mean, I’ve always thought Jason Sudeikis was pretty great on Saturday Night Live, but honestly, even with him in it, I just couldn't make it through this movie. It felt kind of aimless and just... silly, I guess? And it seems like Owen Wilson is still doing that thing where he plays basically the exact same character for fifteen years straight.
In my small town, they usually host an outdoor summer cinema over at the Community Center... though, honestly, I'm not sure if they'll have enough in the budget to pick up a new Microsoft license this year. 🤣 It might be better if you just headed out to Cleveland and hit up the AMC Theatres instead. 😉
It’s been about eight months since they lost their son, Danny, and I guess Becca and Howie Corbett are just trying to find a way to move forward. They're starting to build these really unexpected platonic connections... like, Becca actually gets close to the teenage driver who was responsible for the accident, and Howie finds comfort with a woman from his grief support group. It's a lot to process, I suppose.
Cast: Nicole Kidman as Becca Corbett Aaron Eckhart as Howie Corbett Dianne Wiest as Nat Tammy Blanchard as Izzy Miles Teller as Jason Sandra Oh as Gabby Patricia Kalember as Peg Mike Doyle as Craig Jon Tenney as Rick Giancarlo Esposito as Auggie
The movie is honestly 👍 People are already whispering about how Kidmanica might snag an Oscar nomination 😁
I haven't actually sat down to read the book, but I thought the movie was pretty good. To be honest, those first thirty minutes where she’s just completely losing her mind were incredibly boring—I almost turned it off right then and there. But things definitely pick up once the travel starts... my favorite part has to be the "eat" sequence while they're in Italy... though I guess India and Bali are kind of meh 😁
I kind of like it. I mean, I guess I still think Reitman's Juno was way better. 👍
Even though everyone seems convinced that Clooney is finally going to snag an Oscar, I don't know, I have my doubts about that. Personally, I'd probably give it to Anna Kendrick instead. 👍
So, A Christmas Carol is a Victorian morality tale of an old and bitter miser, Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey), who undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of one night. I guess Mr. Scrooge is just this financier type, you know, someone who’s spent his whole life just... collecting cash. He seems to look down on everything else, maybe even things like friendship or love, and definitely doesn't care much for the Christmas season. But then he meets the ghost of Jacob Marley (Gary Oldman), which basically kicks off this whole mysterious, magical thing where three different spirits show up to help him finally see what the true magic of Christmas is all about.

Are there any new episodes coming out? I mean, the show hasn't been on the air for like ten years now... maybe I'm just losing track of time, I guess. 😂
Anyway, from what I gather, Nikita should be wrapping up that afternoon slot pretty soon. Maybe that’s when they'll finally start airing Northern Exposure starting from all the way back in season one? I guess we'll see. 🤷

I actually watched it yesterday too 😍 I checked out this one first, then went straight into Alvin and the Chipmunks. I guess Bee Movie is better though 😍
