Harold Stewart3 said:If you actually pay attention, I didn't have any idea who he was after that first post... that’s exactly why I asked how old he was and why I brought up those other questions in the first place... I mean, for all I knew, we were talking about some 30-year-old guy weighing 220 pounds... And regarding the whole thirteen-year-old thing, look, there are people out there born with heart defects they aren't even aware of... so getting a full checkup from a doctor isn't exactly a bad idea... It's certainly better than just telling a kid to knock out a hundred crunches every single night and calling it a day... because if they actually do that, you're just asking for physical issues elsewhere... The way an organism actually develops... it’s all just a series of complicated, messy little steps... nothing ever happens all at once, really. You look at the biological progression, the sheer complexity of how a single cell decides to become a functioning system, and it feels almost too deliberate... or maybe it's just chaotic luck? Hard to say... It’s like watching a slow-motion construction project where the blueprints are constantly being rewritten on the fly... quite a lot to wrap one's head around... Especially at thirteen... there’s so much ground you could cover there... I mean, from what I can gather, the kid isn't even looking for advice on which sport to pick up or how to hang out with the other kids in the neighborhood. He's focused on getting rid of belly fat. That shouldn't be something a thirteen-year-old is even stressing about... really...
Look, Jacob Baker23... you should probably just go talk to your PE teacher. I’m pretty sure he’d actually be happy to help you out if you just asked...
Look, I wasn't attacking you just because of the questions you asked him; my issue is that your approach is being far too systematic. We aren't talking about him suddenly deciding to become a professional athlete training intensely seven days a week. For just playing soccer with his friends, these kinds of measures are way too extreme. You’re going to end up scaring him off.

Just get out into nature, hit 50 to 100 crunches every night, and call it a day. Your body will naturally fill out until you're 25—you'll just keep getting stronger every single year. Honestly, don't even bother stressing over all that extra stuff.
I’m with them on this one. You really don't need any intense, structured regimens just to add a little activity to your life. 😂 You're only 13; I highly doubt you have any major issues to worry about. Like they said: play soccer, ride your bike, drink plenty of water, and just stay active. Eventually, you can toss in some sit-ups or similar exercises to build strength, but I don't see why you'd need to run for thirty minutes every morning before doing core work when you don't even have much body fat to begin with. Your body is still growing, so there's no reason to stress over diets or obsessing over an extra inch of waistline. It’ll take a few more years for you to fully mature, and you've still got growing to do—you might even hit a massive growth spurt soon. I know several guys who were pretty short and then suddenly shot up around age 14 or 15. Bottom line: don't sweat it.
A neighbor of mine dealt with an identical collision. Unfortunately, she was held liable and had to cover his damages. He was also speeding like crazy, but the police didn't cite him for causing the accident—they just slapped her with a ticket for speeding. That said, if you were already firmly established in your lane... anything can happen. I hope someone with more expertise weighs in; I’m just sharing an anecdote, and honestly, I can't even remember if she had fully merged into her lane or not at that moment. 🤷

My leg is hurting a bit... it’s better now, but it feels like a circulation issue to me. p.s. I've been on birth control for quite a while—almost a year and a half now. Could there be a connection?
A potential connection would be thrombosis. Is there any history of that in your family, or are you noticing specific symptoms? I'm asking because I don't know how much swelling or pain you're actually dealing with.
Betty Davis93 said:So, I went in for a checkup yesterday—I’ve actually been dealing with a diagnosis of polycystic ovaries for about three years now On the ultrasound, you can clearly see a few cysts, and my ovaries are measuring at 4cm, which feels a bit enlarged... Plus, they told me my endometrial lining is thin. Does that mean I might run into trouble trying to get pregnant because of it??😢
I see you’re still waiting on an answer for this. Honestly, my take? You seem like a young woman who hasn't gone through pregnancy yet, so it’s perfectly normal to have a slimmer build right now. As far as your future fertility goes, there’s no reason to worry—everything should be just fine in that department. But seriously, do yourself a favor and find a new OB-GYN. You really need to make that switch.
Bryan Evans19 said:Can someone actually explain what makes cholesterol spike? Mine is sitting slightly above 5—both my HDL and LDL are a bit high—but my doctor keeps telling me it’s fine since they keep lowering the upper limits of what’s considered "normal" anyway... To be honest, I eat way too much junk food and basically live on Coke. Plus, I'm on antidepressants that pretty much tank my metabolism and make me retain water. I'm guessing that's all connected, right...?
It’s definitely connected, and honestly, you just answered your own question regarding why your levels are up. 😉
Watch what you're eating. Your cholesterol levels look fine, but if those triglycerides are spiking, it’s likely a sign of a poor diet or high stress levels. You know your own body best, but looking at your height and weight, I'd put my money on nutrition being the culprit. Also, what are your numbers for HDL (the good cholesterol) versus LDL (the bad cholesterol)?
My cycle is consistently 28 days. I’m on birth control, but even before I started taking it, my timing was always spot on. It is incredibly rare for it to be off by even a day or two.😁
Nancy Parker5 said:It’s possible the concentrations fluctuate throughout the month and steadily increase, which would explain why you need to follow the schedule strictly.
Actually, they aren't. Those days are just listed there as a helpful guide to make things easier to track.
I wouldn't say that. You can certainly have some burnt toast, crackers, or dry toast. The key isn't to starve yourself, but you shouldn't overdo it either—overeating will only make the nausea worse. Think of it like fueling a small engine: eat frequently, but stick to small, manageable portions. For fluids, tea with little to no sugar works wonders; chamomile or peppermint are particularly good for soothing the stomach. Also, make sure you stay hydrated to avoid dehydration. And a quick tip: sniffing some lemon or orange can really help settle things down. 🙂
As someone who deals with both asthma and allergies, I know how brutal this time of year can be when ragweed starts blooming—especially if you aren't already on a treatment plan. My best advice? Go see your doctor and get a referral for a pulmonologist and some allergy testing. Once you have a clear diagnosis of exactly what you're dealing with, they can prescribe a specific regimen. Personally, I take Allegra, and it makes a massive difference for me. I only reach for my Albuterol inhaler when things get critical—like when I’m struggling to breathe even while sitting or lying down and I can actually hear myself wheezing. I try to avoid relying on it because it can lead to tolerance; if you use it constantly, it eventually just stops working.
Look, I get it—understanding takes time. If you’re fifteen, maybe you don't even think to ask questions, or you don't truly grasp why they're drawing blood in the first place. But once you hit twenty? You really shouldn't be too clueless to speak up when something isn't clear. And if you happen to get a condescending response—something like, "Only diabetics and alcoholics need to worry about that"—you absolutely have to push back. You aren't one of those groups, so why should you settle for a dismissive answer? Good grief, I just hope my mother provides actual, professional explanations to her patients 🙄
I honestly don't understand how none of you have your own primary care physicians to provide referrals, or even the ability to ask them questions when you pick up your test results. It’s like you just don't get it.
Oh my God, I could be three times as stunning if those two sizes were actually too small for me... I wear a size 6, so just give me those two sizes and they'll fit you perfectly!
Susan Garcia said:I mean, toxic comments on a forum don't really get to me 🙂 Maybe my subconscious thrives on the attention, but honestly, I really want to prove everyone wrong and actually make things work instead of ending it all...
I’m glad to hear that. It proves you’re a strong person who won't give up, but will instead find a way to climb out of this hole... By the way, I've always wondered if people who take their own lives are cowards or brave. My conclusion? They're just pathetic cowards. Real bravery means facing your problems head-on and finding a way through them 😎, whereas cowards simply lack the strength and the wits to fight, so they try to end everything in a single second.
Honestly, you’re being incredibly dense here. On one hand, you’re busy insulting anonymous users on this forum, and then you have the nerve to turn around and expect them to offer you advice, support, or even a little empathy when you're having a hard time? Look at you—now Piggy is telling you to go back to the kitchen, and here you are, spinning these dramatic tales about wanting to end it all. You want my take? Just take some Advil and a bottle of red wine... it'll be painless... Or maybe you’ve already figured out a way and you're just here looking for attention? Seriously, you aren't even eighteen yet; try growing up a little bit...
My apologies if I offended you, especially regarding that comment about "suicide." I didn't intend to resort to such biting remarks, but I simply couldn't help myself given the circumstances...
