Most of the time, I find myself smiling... I truly laugh from the bottom of my heart.
But if you’re asking me to judge my sense of humor based on that specific show you mentioned—or any other nonsense like it—then no, I don't have a sense of humor at all. Not one bit.

So it's just like I thought—you pretty much have to head to Chicago for everything...

Honestly, just scroll back a page or two... I laid it all out so clearly, explaining exactly what, where, how, and how much...🙄And yes, this can be done right here in Cincinnati.😉

First, I went to the Sunce clinic for an examination that was honestly just incredibly painful. The doctor there prescribed some Detralex tbl and Ultraproct suppositories, which actually worked wonders for a few months. But then, they came back even worse than before. Eventually, I made an appointment with Dr. Turjak in Indianapolis, and his exam was so gentle I barely felt a thing... He told me straight up that no amount of creams or pills were going to fix my situation. He said I needed cauterization. It requires three sessions, and the cost per treatment is $167, which is worth every single penny. Usually, you shouldn't have more than a month between treatments—actually, longer is better—but definitely not less. It isn't really painful; it’s more of a stinging sensation, but you can handle it without any trouble at all. Once it was done, I felt such immediate relief... everything just felt better right away. Honestly, the whole process is negligible compared to the absolute misery I was enduring while dealing with them.
I'm not trying to push this on anyone—if creams and suppositories are doing the trick for you, then that's great! But if they turn your life into a living hell like they did mine, then this truly is the only solution, and you shouldn't put it off. I feel like a brand new person; I can finally do everything I couldn't do before. I tried every possible method under the sun, but most had very little success and the relief was always so short-lived... I kept stubbornly refusing surgery—and there are several different methods available, cauterization being just one—because everyone kept telling me they would just come back. Big deal...🙄That's what messed with my head the most. Even if they do return, I know that at least for a while, I'll be able to live like a normal human being, completely pain-free. And if they do come back—which definitely isn't the rule—then I'll just go back for the cauterization. It really isn't nearly as scary as it sounds, and for me, it was indescribably helpful.

I honestly, truly hope this is my last post here. To give you some context, I had to go in for cauterization—it was supposed to take three sessions, but my chemical issues were just so stubborn that they actually had to perform a fourth one.🙄-my friends-I feel like a whole new person.🙏🙏🙏It’s only now that I realize how much my quality of life was being stripped away before. I feel absolutely phenomenal!!! And I know one thing for certain: if this ever comes back, I am heading straight to the doctor for more cauterization.👍Forget all those creams, ointments, plugs, or special socks... I spent a hundred times more on those than I did on this procedure, and they didn't do a single thing for me.
Of course, I’m not saying this applies to everyone—if you can manage to keep things under control and it isn't making your daily life miserable, then there's really no need for this. This is strictly for when nothing else seems to work.👍
Reddit is down for some people, what should I do? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Maybe I can slip my question in here. I’ve been lurking on Reddit for quite some time now, but I just couldn't manage to actually register; every single attempt would end with that dreaded "incorrect username and/or password" error message.😕It honestly makes no sense to me, and after trying countless times—only to get temporarily blocked before being able to try again🙄(what else can I say except that I'm persistent?)—I finally managed to get through. Out of all the possible handles, which, by the way, sounded incredibly cool, the system finally accepted me as this hypersensitive user with some sort of jumbled, messy password🙄just like that.😲And then, when I see people walking around with a hundred different profiles...😲well, how is that even possible?!
Not too long ago, a colleague of mine was over and wanted to sign up here herself (as if she wouldn't figure it out on her own, though clearly she did) so I could help her out. And it was the exact same ordeal.😕Then I called up a friend of mine who is actually quite tech-savvy, and he said he’d swing by to take a look; meanwhile, I'm typing in the nickname she chose along with the password she picked, only to be met with "thank you for your report..."😲
I just don't understand it at all. Is there something I'm doing wrong... or what exactly is going on?

Personally, I suspect only a tiny fraction of people actually live the life they truly desire—it just comes down to how many are willing to admit it to themselves.

But that is precisely the point. Honestly, the whole thing is a bit terrifying to me. It isn't some profound piece of wisdom to simply "do what you want"; the real challenge is having the guts to actually follow through with it.

It truly doesn't matter what they choose to wear or how they style themselves; most of the time, they aren't even trying to grab anyone's attention, yet somehow, they just... stand out 😁
That person always manages to command the room, even when they’re just sitting there quietly with their head bowed... but they still possess this unmistakable presence. And honestly, it has absolutely nothing to do with their physical appearance.

Or even worse—never.

Honestly, I think it would be much better to handle this just a day before the wedding.🙄

What was said above is so beautifully articulated... and so profoundly true. Lately, I’ve been gripped by this indescribable fear that one day, I might end up serving as a cautionary tale for someone else...
It is heartbreaking to tell someone they have wasted their life, but sometimes that stinging truth is impossible to ignore. At least, I can see it. Personally, I think very few people actually live a fulfilled life. By that, I mean doing what you truly love, what makes you happy, what fills your soul—not just accumulating things. In the end, material possessions are utterly irrelevant, yet so many of us don't realize that until we've already gathered them all. I know an acquaintance (let's just call him that) who never married—he’s nearly fifty now—has no children, earns a meager paycheck, lives in a house that looks like it might collapse at any moment, and he’s usually drunk whenever I run into him—yet that man is genuinely happy. You can just see it in him. that man is happy no matter how incomprehensible that seems to the rest of us. 😕
On the other hand, there is his contemporary, a man who is married, has two grown children (who are in just as much trouble as the first guy), owns a beautiful home, has a career... and that is essentially all he has. He’s also drinking from dawn till dusk, but not like the first man; he drinks because his life is so suffocatingly pleasant that he has to forget... the reality of the life he leads. Pitiful, empty, and wasted.
In my own lifetime, I have encountered only two people who can truly say they are living exactly as they always dreamed, living their passion, and you can see it in them too. People can say whatever they want, but you can see it and feel it. The first is a guy who fled the USA during the war; he was sixteen then, and thirty when I met him. Actually, it doesn't matter—the point is, he has traveled the entire world, taking whatever jobs come his way without complaint, because he’s already spent five years in the States (both North and South), three years in Asia, and when I met him, he had just arrived from Mexico where he was working as a window washer😁—his motto is "carpe diem," and he literally lives it.
The second person traveled from the Midwest through Austria, then eventually through Japan, finally landing in Hawaii where she now works as a life coach🙄(I mean, you can be anything you want there). What I’m trying to get at is the energy people radiate—that charisma that some are born with, some earn, and some simply never find.
I believe life can either be fulfilling or wasted; which one it becomes depends almost entirely on us. Not everyone has the guts to do what they truly desire. I dared once—at eighteen, I packed my bags and just left, traveling all across Europe (though I didn't really "see" anything because I wasn't sightseeing) and now I am right back where I started🙄I remember it as a fantastic experience that I wouldn't repeat ever.☕But it was worth it.
Nowadays, I have a job (one I don't enjoy), I'm engaged (though I have my own thoughts on that too), life is throwing its usual punches at me... and every single day I ask myself: is this how I want to spend the rest of my life? 😱
My other option is to pack my belongings once again (except I'm not eighteen anymore) and just hit the road... Where to? I have no idea—anywhere better, as long as it lasts longer😁 But I know it would be madness. I think it would be madness. Or perhaps I just don't have the courage I used to? I suspect that last part is the deciding factor😳
Well, perhaps in time, I will get there after all.

wanderinggull35 said:Healthy self-love shows up when you love others as much as yourself... which seems impossible... and it's impossible if you're just looking at someone's ego... but if you look at their actual existence, it isn't even an issue... it takes practice to get there... obviously time is needed... the older you are, the more practice you need...

Dr. Wise Guy? 🙂 That's where the conversation ends. I'll explain why, just so I'm not being unfair to you..

You basically attacked my ego to feed yours... but I'm aware of my ego, so you can't hurt it... you aren't aware of yours... so talking to you is pointless... or rather, talking to your ego is... because I respect you... but I'm going to ignore your ego and won't engage with it...

Thanks... and I hope your ego doesn't take offense.. 🙂

Nooooo, I truly had no intention of elevating my ego over yours, but I called you Dr. Wise because that is how you presented yourself from the very start; you are here to help us, after all; therefore, I am listening.🙂 Perhaps you could set aside that ego of yours that is so desperately clinging to my little assumption. Because based on what you're saying, it sounds like we all have issues—either we love too much or we don't love enough. You, supposedly, have solved all of your own problems. I'm listening. How does one establish balance, and what would the definition of that actually be? And let's do this without that "love thy neighbor as thyself" bit😁 because if I wanted to hear that, I would be reading the Bible.🙄
And while we're on the subject, "love thy neighbor"—how on earth are you supposed to love someone you've never met in your life and feel absolutely zero emotional connection toward? This forum serves other purposes, and it isn't my intention to offend anyone, but how can I express my opinion without threatening your sensibilities? Because, I must emphasize, YOU are the one here to provide corrections, not me. You are here to guide us, to direct us... yet you are getting so incredibly defensive over a comment made by someone who is completely insignificant in your life.

wanderinggull35 said:I honestly have no idea who you're talking about...

Oh, come on, you know exactly who I mean...😁you can't play coy now😉
Look, let’s just dive back into this topic or maybe pick up where we left off before🙄tell me, how does a truly healthy sense of self-love actually manifest itself?Where exactly is the line where it stops being self-care and starts turning into pure selfishness? What is the actual distinction between healthy self-regard, narcissism, and total egocentrism? Please, I really need you to define that for me.
Because some parts of this just aren't clicking for me... if I say I love myself, heaven forbid I say I absolutely adore myself, suddenly I'm labeled a narcissist; but if I admit I struggle with self-love, then apparently that's wrong too.
So, oh wise and brilliant one, please define what "normal" even looks like here.😁Or, if you're feeling generous, help me understand the balance between healthy self-love and genuine love for others...

Hair?😉

Honestly, if you ask me, I would go for hair—I'm talking loooooong, down to my waist, thick, wavy hair... the kind where I could just toss it around and leave everyone breathless...
But then again, that’s an easy fix with extensions, which I’m actually planning to get this fall...

Laura Ross57 said:Look, grab a chair, aim it right at whoever’s messing with your head, calculate the angle, account for the wind speed, and just launch it. My theory? People are usually the ones throwing you off balance. If things are going wrong because of circumstances, those "circumstances" are usually controlled by people anyway. So here’s my advice: chair + force + velocity = ice on the lake... hard to miss...😁

Personally, I wish I was a little more selfish. 🙂

Neeeeee, absolutely not—I've tried that several times and it's a tested method😁, but doing so only serves to let everyone know that someone actually got under my skin. I want to remain perfectly composed, with a gentle smile on my lips... something akin to the Dalai Lama🙄

I thought I’d jump in here as well; now that I’ve finally managed to sort out those annoying multiple quotation mark issues🙄 I’ve run into a brand new little dilemma—does anyone know how I can add a little something extra next to my username, right there where it says 'registered user'... how on earth do I change that?

I think I’d love to reach a point where absolutely nothing and no one could ever rattle my composure. That’s really the only thing I’d change about myself... 😍As for everything else, I’m actually quite content with who I am.😁
