It’s like hitting a brick wall—you know that feeling when you’re trying to log into your bank account from a new device and everything just stalls? That’s exactly what I'm dealing with here. Just stuck. Total standstill!

It’s the exact same story on my end—honestly, I couldn't agree more!

Back in the late '90s—I believe it was around 1998 or '99—there was this fascinating study conducted over in San Francisco, specifically carried out at LabCorp.

Ahem. Honestly, without a specific name, we're just guessing here—it could be anything from a local facility in San Francisco to a specialized Food Testing Lab (though, let's be real, it’s likely just a quality control lab, much like the ones they run over at Pfizer in major cities). But hey, without an exact name and a clear reference to us, it doesn't actually help much!

Personally, I think you missed the mark entirely—at least when it comes to the whole patience thing. I am, by my very nature, a restless soul!
But anyway, what was happening with that work situation? Did the cat eat it? 🙂

For those of you who find propaganda perfectly sufficient, I highly recommend checking out PM. The "Proponent" will surely give you all the answers you need.

Personally? I’d take that as a total compliment. 🙂

nothing else seems to stick...

You’re definitely making progress! 😉 Next week—let's try adding just a tiny bit of vegetables into that soup—nothing crazy, just enough so you actually have something to chew on. 😘

Well, if you’re just going to throw your money down the drain like that—honestly, what am I even saying? It’s your call, I suppose...

Anthony Wood54 said:Does anyone have any tips on how to actually enjoy eating stuff like this? I’ve never been a fan—I always just forced myself to eat it because I felt like I had to...

Honestly, don't force yourself to eat things you dislike, because eventually, your stomach will just react naturally to what it needs 🙂. 😁 Granted, when you're eating at a college dining hall, you don't exactly have a massive menu to choose from... but, hey, try this little trick if you're stuck with a pizza: just slide all the toppings onto one half of the crust and eat only that part. You can just leave the plain dough half sitting there on your plate. 😉 For dessert, go with some yogurt instead of a heavy pudding or a slice of cake... For instance, I absolutely adore chocolate. But, oh boy, I remember vividly how I looked back when I was devouring chocolate every single day... so now, I tell myself: "Okay, I'm dealing with PMS right now, so I'll indulge in chocolate today." 😁 Otherwise, I won't even buy it. Just this morning, I polished off half a chocolate bar 😁 at about 6:30 AM 😁. It’s a good thing there wasn't any left!
And if you're hitting up a burger joint, just order a small portion and eat only half the bun. 😉

Oh boy...🙄 Wouldn't it be much easier just to toss those herbs into a pot and brew your own tea? Not that I'm suggesting you skip the hard part—you know, actually getting off your butt to move around more and maybe cutting back on the snacks—but let's be real here. There is NO magic potion out there that’s just going to melt away those extra pounds overnight. It’s all about sweat, and trust me, you can't exactly drink that...

Alright, here we go—it’s officially started! Hang in there, girl, and just try to tune out all that background noise from the peanut gallery, okay? It’s funny how life works—if you gain a little weight, everyone’s suddenly an expert on your diet, shouting, "Oh my god, look how much she’s eating!" But if you drop a few pounds, the exact same people turn around and moan, "Good grief, she's nothing but skin and bones!" It’s a total lose-lose situation, really.
Your doctor is 👍 . And honestly, that guy clearly needs some time to find his footing... 😉 Or maybe he just needs a good kick in the pants to get moving.

🤣 Honestly, this health forum has turned into the most entertaining corner of the internet... and hey, laughter is good for you—as we all know! Though, I can't help but wonder just how much junk food one would have to consume to burn off all those calories spent laughing.

If we can pull the exact same amount of energy from food while actually consuming fewer calories—it’s a total no-brainer, obviously—then that is definitely the way to go.

I am officially putting forward Mr. McPropovjednik for a Nobel Prize. Though, honestly, I’m stumped on which category he’d even fit into... 🤔 Medicine? Economics? Or perhaps just Pure Stupidity?

🙂 Honestly, let’s not go throwing those fancy titles around—it's a bit much! In this corner of the internet, credentials don't carry any weight at all; if anything, acting like an academic might actually tank your reputation here. 😉

You take everything in the worst possible light, always looking for a fight... honestly, you're being quite abrasive.

I’m not sure if you’ve been keeping up with the other threads in the Health section, but mistybear4 and Sandra Hayes88 have absolutely flooded us with their little theories—it's nearly ruined the discussions entirely! To me, that kind of behavior is just plain rude. Besides, look—if my posts really bother you that much, just hit the "ignore" button. It's a simple fix, really.
You can't just claim that every single ailment is psychosomatic and that all someone needs is a handful of vitamins and minerals to feel better—just because someone is selling that narrative very convincingly.

Sandra Hayes88 said:I have a quick question—something I also brought up regarding allergies... what do you all think about this? Since psoriasis is considered a psychosomatic condition, how much does our mindset actually impact whether we get better or stay stuck? Does it matter if we truly believe a cure is possible, or is that just wishful thinking?
👋

Look, psoriasis is NOT a psychosomatic disease—period. Maybe do a little bit of actual reading before coming over here to lecture everyone on the Health forum! It’s a bit like walking into a Harvard seminar and trying to tell the professors they don't know their stuff... it just doesn't work that way.🙄

Hannah Davis18 said:So, why skip the meat?

Well, I simply couldn't survive without my pickles—and let’s be honest, I can't quite function without a little alcohol, either!😁

I actually traveled abroad once and the meat there tasted exactly like Styrofoam—honestly, it was tragic! Now, I wouldn't call myself a lifelong vegetarian, mind you; I absolutely love fish and eat it quite regularly. But after all those nasty outbreaks at the industrial farms, I ended up falling down a rabbit hole of articles about mass-scale meat production (I was reading Time, which is a very serious publication, of course) and it just turned my stomach. So, I decided to give it up altogether.
I’ll have a glass of wine or maybe a beer now and then—though wine is definitely more my speed. As for salad? I don't bother with vinaigrettes; I just add a pinch of salt and some other spices. No grand philosophy behind it, really—it's just that I've never been much of a fan of vinegary things, unless we're talking about pickles.🙂

Gregory Turner71 said:What kind of lifestyle are we even talking about here?

Well—let me break it down for you! I don't touch meat, I steer clear of anything overly salty, sour, or spicy, and I make sure to get my exercise in every single day—it’s practically a ritual at this point! I actually quit smoking (though, if I'm being totally honest, I did end up picking it back up again 🙄 ), I've swapped out coffee entirely for plenty of tea, and as for alcohol... well, just the occasional drink now and then...

Gregory Turner71 said:So... from what I gather, you're saying you've finally managed to shake off that whole recurring issue, right?

I honestly can't say for sure—it might decide to make a comeback—but I don't think it'll be anything catastrophic this time! After all, I seem to have enough solid DNA in my system to just shut down any potential issues before they even start. Or, well, perhaps it's just my lifestyle catching up with me... who knows? 😉

magic said:Eating at the dining hall, and then Josh serving up some magic chili?

Oh man, if only my life were that simple—I’d jump on that diet in a heartbeat! 😉😁

But let's get one thing straight: I am NOT on a diet. Honestly, that would just be the cherry on top of my misery. I feel like I'm perpetually starving anyway! 😁
Just yesterday, I actually had the willpower to skip a decadent chocolate cake for dessert and settled for an apple instead. 😢

As for me, I think I'll just dive into some tonight once I finally make it through the door 🙂 😁

I've only got one of those tiny little 2-quart pots lying around. Honestly, that's enough for maybe three days tops, since I usually just grab lunch at the college dining hall anyway.
