In order to issue a partial ban, the consent of all subforum moderators is required, which means rapidhawk22 is just as responsible for this decision as I am (though she was the one who sent out the notification). Furthermore, I find myself in complete agreement with all the reasons provided.

The chat functioned quite well for a period, primarily because the level of discourse remained civil. Eventually, however, the Teens began migrating down to the main chat specifically to provoke me, which ultimately forced my hand to shut it down. This was largely due to your behavior; you were being blatantly biased toward the Teens and constantly making jokes at the expense of others. I simply won't tolerate that kind of atmosphere.

I suggest you head over to the subforums or find a dedicated chat service elsewhere, as I have no intention of reopening this one anytime soon.

Barbie, let me clarify something here... I have served as a moderator for four years now, and during that entire tenure, I have been consistently managing the Jokes section. In fact, that sub-forum is my primary area of responsibility. I believe I possess the necessary experience to moderate effectively, having witnessed just about everything imaginable. User demographics have shifted over the years, and since you represent the most recent wave, there is a significant amount of history you aren't aware of—yet you have the audacity to suggest I am failing at my duties.

It seems that whenever I don't issue a warning, people complain, and when I do, they complain again. It feels less like legitimate criticism and more like a coordinated attempt to stage a coup so I can be replaced by one of your own favorites (and we all know exactly who that is). My presence hasn't been constant lately simply because I am the sole moderator handling the PDFs, and I am currently balancing several real-life obligations.

But please, go ahead and tell me more; I need to prepare for the possibility of a brand-new moderator taking over the Jokes section. ☕

When I report a post to you and am forced to wait three days for any action to be taken, it is only natural that I will step in and respond to the post myself in the meantime. I simply refuse to sit by while someone insults me because the moderator isn't reacting.
Please, just do your job properly. If you aren't interested in doing it, then hand the responsibility over to someone who actually wants to and who consistently reads and posts in that thread.

I have somewhat lost my way in this idea; it is difficult to explain something when you feel it shouldn't require explanation. My apologies to the moderators and admins, but GIF animations should be in the funny photo section (as they have always been), along with larger images. So, I ask: do you have a specific reason for the opposite? Because the reasoning you provided was insufficient.

This falls under a standard message and I see no reason why it would violate the forum rules... however, the comment suggesting a typical person wouldn't be able to get over this and do what is required is a different matter entirely.

I am certainly in favor of changing the site's style, though I cannot bring myself to support using those pre-made free options. In my view, a premier platform like Reddit—one of the leading sites in America—shouldn't be settling for some cheap, free skin. We should either stick with the current default vBulletin look or invest in developing something truly unique. Given how quickly things tend to get handled around here, I find myself leaning toward simply keeping the original layout.

Nobody actually posts images this way, and even then, 9.8 KB might barely cover a tiny GIF, if you're lucky.
