Cake Dilemma 😍

Okay, I am spiraling here... should the wedding cake have actual fresh roses or should we go with marzipan flowers? 😢 It’s going to be one of those tiered cakes where all the layers are stacked, and there’ll be this massive "waterfall" of roses cascading down the side... no tacky little wedding toppers or extra junk, just the flowers. 👍

Help a girl out, ladies, because I am seriously freaking out!! 😁

Wait, hold on—are we seriously still talking about this? I feel like I’m losing my mind here! I swear, every time I log on, there’s some new, ridiculous drama popping up out of nowhere, and honestly, I am just *done*. Like, actually done. It’s the same old nonsense, different day, and if I have to read one more person trying to justify something that is clearly, objectively insane, I might just throw my phone across the room. Can we please, for the love of everything holy, get some common sense back into this thread? Is that too much to ask?! kaže:
Always go for the matte finish, honestly—and they aren't even that pricey!😉

Thanks, I’ve actually already gone out and tried them on twice now, and honestly? They are absolute perfection, but I’m low-key terrified they aren't going to stretch out like my other pairs—you know, the ones I've got from Mustang or LTB and all that.

They aren't even that expensive, especially now that Diesel is having these massive sales going on!👍

I’m heading out to hunt them down this Tuesday! 😍

Ugh, guys, I just saw these Diesel jeans—the Matic model—and they are literally calling my name right now! 🙏 Since I’ve never actually dropped any cash on Diesel denim before, I figured I’d ask you all: is it actually worth the splurge, or am I just throwing money down the drain?
Switching primary care doctors in Health ·
So, I’m throwing this out there too—does anyone have any solid recommendations for a primary care doctor I can switch to now that I've moved to Chicago? I just landed a new job and relocated here, so I'm totally lost on where to even start...

It would be absolutely perfect if they were near Broadway or around Times Square, basically anywhere along the Broadway and 7th Avenue stretch..

I would be seriously grateful if someone could point me in the right direction!👍
Ugh, I’ve got a question too, and I’m seriously hoping some New York City locals can help me out! Since I’m working in NYC from 8 AM to 4 PM and staying in an apartment here, I can't just go get bloodwork done back home—I need somewhere local where I can just walk in without a referral. All I need is a quick check on my liver and cholesterol levels.

Where is the cheapest and most convenient spot (ideally near Fifth Avenue or the Potomac area) to get this done so I can actually make it to work by 8 AM?😢 Maybe the Črnomerec Community Health Center or some private clinic around there?
Maybe I'm totally losing my mind here, but now that we're talking about teeth, I've gotta say—I swear those fungal issues started right around the time I picked up a brand new toothbrush.🤔

I know, I know, maybe it’s a bit much to blame a toothbrush for this kind of thing, but honestly? I’m gonna toss it out and see if things start looking better.

Morgan Torres thanks for the reply!😉
Did you deal with this exact same thing?

My mom keeps breathing down my neck about how this is some huge sign of an underlying illness.😕 Honestly, I’m terrified of doctors—every time I go in with an actual issue, they just brush me off like it’s nothing. It's so frustrating.
That’s why I figured I’d try looking for advice here on the forum first.
So, for the last two months, I’ve been dealing with this crazy fungal thing on my tongue. I had this exact same issue back when I was a kid, and if I remember right, I used to just dab some propolis on it. Man, the taste was absolutely revolting, but honestly? It actually worked a little bit.

But now, it’s flared right back up, and my tongue feels totally wrecked—it’s like it starts hitting the edges first and then just spreads straight toward the middle.😢
I mean, I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of fungus...

Has anyone else gone through this nightmare? What did you guys use to get rid of it? I am seriously losing my mind here... Just when I think it’s finally gone, it hits me all over again.👎
Dealing with pollen and dust allergies... in Health ·
So, I’ve got these white bumps popping up on the inside of my elbow and they are itching like crazy... They start to dry out slowly, but the second I accidentally touch them, they just swell right back up, itch, and sting like hell..👎

Do you guys think this could be some kind of allergy?😢
Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Maybe I totally missed the right thread for this, but I’m gonna throw it out here anyway... For the last few months (like 3 or 4 months now), my period has been dragging on for 10-12 days straight. It's super weird because for the first 4 days I'm basically just wearing a pantyliner since it's barely even spotting, then for the next 4 days it starts flowing, and then it goes back to just spotting for another 4 days...

It doesn't feel normal at all having these crazy long periods where I'm just constantly "dripping," so I'm heading to see Dr. Ginić next week. Honestly, I have a gut feeling it might be a cyst...

Has anyone else dealt with something like this before?
Ugh, tell me about it..😠 :jedemed:

My head is absolutely pounding, I’m dizzy as hell, my throat feels like I swallowed sandpaper, my nose won't stop running, and I can't even taste a damn thing right now.. Seriously, I need to get my act together fast because I've got my first day back on the job tomorrow, for crying out loud!!😢
Vulvar itching: any advice? in Women's Health ·
Sophia Ramirez6 said:Hey everyone
I live in this tiny little town near Indianapolis and I only go to the gynecologist once a year for my regular checkup. But honestly, it’s such a nightmare here because we basically only have one doctor and getting an appointment is next to impossible, and I seriously cannot wait this time. I don't even know what it is, but for the last two weeks, I've been dealing with this intense itching down there. I'm low-key freaking out that it might be a yeast infection, but I can't feel anything unusual when I check, other than the fact that everything swells up when I scratch like crazy. I've been washing with chamomile tea, but that isn't doing squat. My appointment isn't for another month, so I went ahead and grabbed some Plimccol cream, but I haven't used it yet because I'm scared it might be the wrong thing. I have no idea how I'm going to survive these next four weeks. I am actually losing my mind. Please, I'll take any advice or home remedies you guys have.

Ugh, tell me about it, waiting lists are everywhere and it's always a month-long wait...

Look, just call the nurse and explain exactly what's going on—they'll usually squeeze you in by tomorrow.

Anthony Johnson29 said:Hey everyone...
So... I've got this intense itching down there (on the inside of my labia) and it's been going on for like 2 or 3 days now... There's nothing weird with my skin and no discharge... Is it possible it's just irritation from oral sex or what...? Do you guys think I actually need to go see an OBGYN???

Hey!

Anthony Johnson29, you seriously need to hit up a gynecologist. That sounds like a yeast infection to me. They'll probably give you some vaginal suppositories, a cream for the outer area, and tell you to hold off on sex for two weeks.😉

I went through the exact same thing about two years ago and totally thought it was just from shaving, so I kept scratching and scratching until I literally made raw patches on my labia.😵 Once it got to be too much to handle, I finally went to the doctor.

It actually flared up again a few weeks back, but since I already knew the drill, I booked an appointment right away.
They’ll likely prescribe a cream for your guy to put on his tip, too. Because honestly, he might have caught the fungus and passed it to you, or you gave it to him—you can't ever really tell.🙄

Just go see the doctor already!👋
Signs of anorexia? in Health ·
Rebecca Ramos3 said:Laura Ramirez10, I totally feel you on this..
I was doing this diet too—well, it wasn't even really a diet, just my new way of eating because I've been getting super into nutrition and all that stuff about what to eat versus what to avoid. The results definitely showed up and I lost quite a bit of weight, but nothing crazy, I'm nowhere near being anorexic or whatever else people claim. Honestly, I’m happy right now because I don't have that belly anymore or all that extra fat on my legs that used to be there, so I can actually "breathe easier," but everyone around me—from my friends to my parents—won't stop making up stories about how I'm not acting normal or what I'm doing to myself and blah blah blah. My mom even threatened to ban me from going to prom this year unless I gain five pounds (I don't even know what's considered "normal"), but oh my god, now that I'm finally happy with my weight (I'm not undernourished, my BMI is perfect), they suddenly want me to bulk back up... 😢
so yeah, I get exactly how you feel.

Hey Rebecca Ramos3, ugh, see, THIS is exactly what I'm talking about!
I'll admit, I started out following the UN guidelines and felt healthier than I ever have, just tons of fruit, veggies, water... but then life happened, the whole college-to-work grind kicked in, and I was barely eating anything at all, so naturally, the pounds dropped off.

Look, I'm happy with how I look, but they've shoved so much crap into my head that I'm basically on the edge. I'm not even celebrating being thin like I thought I would back in the day. ☕

I'm thin, okay, I get it, but I don't necessarily want to be "stronger," yet I definitely don't want to end up sick either.

I'm heading to the clinic today to get some blood work done just to see what the results show.🤷
Signs of anorexia? in Health ·
I’m right there with you.😉

It’s honestly ridiculous—the exact same people who used to constantly nag me about being "chubby" are now all over me saying I look way too thin.
It seriously gets under my skin... especially since I’m basically a total sponge when it comes to comments, soaking everything up, when I really should be like a brick wall that just lets all that nonsense bounce right off.☕
Signs of anorexia? in Health ·
Since I keep seeing all these threads popping up about dieting, binge eating, and the whole mess of health issues caused by being either way too heavy or way too thin, I figured I’d just start this thread myself.

Basically, how can you actually tell when "watching your calories" crosses the line into losing total control? Like, at what point does a strict diet turn into full-blown anorexia?

I’m speaking from experience here, obviously. I used to be, let's say, a bit on the larger side, so I finally decided to get my act together and go on a diet. I slowly cut back on the food and worked my way down to my current weight. And look, I’m honestly really happy with how I look, but every single time I show up to a party or hang out with my family—especially my grandma—it triggers a total freaking meltdown!!😲
Everyone starts grilling me, asking if I'm sick or why I've gotten *so* skinny, and then there's all that nasty whispering about anorexia...

So, how do you spot it when anorexia has completely taken over?
Does it actually show up on a blood test, or is it something a regular doctor at a clinic would catch, or is the whole thing just purely mental?🙄

Rebecca Williams11 said:It sounds like you’ve got classic nail fungus symptoms
like thickening, brittleness, and those horizontal ridges from the nail splitting, plus discoloration
. I bet when you're cleaning under them, there's that gross, stinky buildup that smells like acetone
.
You really need to hit up a doctor so they can run a culture; they have to take a sample from under the nail to figure out the right treatment
. Usually, it involves taking pills for a long time, though for milder cases, there might be a topical lacquer you apply for about 6 months
. Good luck, and seriously, hurry up before the fungus spreads to your other nails

.

Mmm.. I don't know, maybe.

But again, my nails aren't brittle or cracking.. And it's not those splitting lines.. It just grows out thick and "wavy," if you know what I mean.. 🤷

swiftmason8 said:My nails used to look great all the time... but once my iron levels hit rock bottom, everything just went to hell... it was exactly like what you're describing, even my toenails got all wrinkled and weird... things have definitely changed...
I finally started taking iron supplements... and honestly, everything is getting back to normal... It’s totally possible you're just low on vitamins... You really ought to hit up your doctor for some blood work so they can figure out exactly what's missing from your system,😉

Thanks so much!!🙂

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's going on too. My iron has always been super low, but I've dropped a ton of weight lately, so there's a good chance I'm dealing with some serious vitamin deficiencies..🙄

Some people swear it could be a sign of liver issues, and others say it's an early warning for diabetes, or whatever. It's freaking scary. 🙏
Toenail issues in Health ·
Ugh, okay guys, I’ve been noticing something weird lately...
Basically, my big toenails have totally changed. Like, the surface is all bulging out (the nail looks super thick now), they're turning this nasty yellow color, and instead of being smooth, there are these weird horizontal ridges all over them..

Nothing actually hurts, but I am low-key freaking out here... I've always had perfect nails, so this is just so not me.. 🤷

Does this sound like some underlying health issue? Or is it just a freaking fungus situation? 😕

Heeelp.. 😠
